But that feeling is very temperamental!! the moment you step into their coveted "shady" patio after you ordered something and being guided by their chef,, you find other janitorial staff barking down seating charts to you!! with barely 3 tables occupied at peak rush hour and 20 tables empty, they seem to be holding on to their hopes of an entourage of 40 peeps who could fill up their space and pull them over money problems and sliding down review stars!! save your money and your happy frame of mind and visit the "Dulce" instead which is round the corner and has honest staff who will serve you with respect and dignity. good luck. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made for a great experience. My girlfriend ordered the Quiche Lorraine and absolutely loved it--she said she would definitely get it again. I went with the breakfast burrito. It was good, but not quite great. The ingredients were high quality, and I especially enjoyed the guacamole and fresh pico that came with it. The drip coffee was also very good. At $5 a cup, it's definitely on the pricey side, but at least it was worth drinking! They are also straw-free, which I found a little silly, but everyone has their own soapbox when it comes to how they feel they're helping the environment, so I'll let that one slide. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back. There are several other things on the menu that looked really good, so I'm looking forward to trying something different next time. read more

I enjoy coming here to Secret Garden Café. It is located at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village in Sedona. Tlaquepaque is one of my favorite areas that I like to visit whenever I am in Sedona. Secret Garden Café is a longtime Sedona restaurant that specializes in comfort foods like soups, gourmet salads and sandwiches. They also have a bar area that serves a variety of alcoholic drinks, coffee drinks and teas. My favorite thing about Secret Garden Café is their cozy shaded patio area. It is the perfect place to enjoy a light meal with a glass of wine. I like to come here and grab a latte and stroll through the art galleries at Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. It makes for a nice relaxing day. Secret Garden is open daily from 8am to 8:30pm. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. read more

The wait in the AZ heat was a little excessive for this sub-par restaurant in the Sedona area. The hype was a little too much because I didn't see it. We waited about 45 minutes for brunch just to be seated outside in their garden area. It was pretty and honestly not as exciting as I thought it was going to be. I wanted more whimsical, more secret garden vibes! Because that's the name of the restaurant right? Anyway, the food was alright as well. It was a normal brunch entree with unseasoned potatoes. The service was okay. Seems like there aren't many options at this place because the waitress said no to us a few times. Came on a recommendation from my daughter. She highly recommended the chicken salad sandwich for lunch and told me, I would not be disappointed and she was right. The croissant was delicious and the chicken salad was just like I make, but better. We also ordered the sizzling tri-tip fajita sandwich. The meat was flavorful. The bread was a different touch and wasn't really what we were expecting though. Our server Eddie was fast, courteous, and funny. Took a post meal photo of us, no extra charge. . We had a spicy margarita and a specialty cocktail(cant remember the name) something cloud. Lavender gin, and a skewer or cotton candy. The margarita was spicy but not over the top. And not two sweet. Just the way i like it. The cloud drink was sweet and refreshing. We paired the fajita with Eddie's recommendation of the corn chowder and it was very tasty. I typically order the veggie burger and it is seriously so good, super fresh and flavorful. The patio is what really makes this place though... it's tucked into this lush, peaceful garden setting that feels like a little escape. It's right in Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, which makes the whole experience even better. The service here is also on point all the time. I've never had a bad experience. We came here after a hike to grab some lunch. It's a cute spot with a nice outdoor area. The service was a bit slow and just not so attentive. Three of us were seated at the table and they only brought 2 waters. I asked for another and it took awhile to get there. In addition, the cups are small and we didn't get offered any refill for quite awhile. Our server was more interested in holding multiple long conversations with the locals at the table next to us. The plus side is that they have a lot of gluten free options available. They have gluten free bread and buns even though it's not labeled on the menu. I ordered a burger and it was tasty and filling- I couldn't even finish it. It was pricey for what we got, but then again I noticed that as an underlying theme in all of Sedona these days. I do like the outdoor area and the amount of gluten free options available, so this would be on my list to return. Hopefully next time we get a little better service. read more

You get 2 eggs any style (scrambled for me), two pieces of peppered bacon, multigrain toast + potatoes. My breakfast was simple, filling, and just the way I like it. The multigrain toast was surprisingly not multigrain-y. Instead, it was doughy soft. And the bacon was bacon-ing. Each component of my breakfast was perfectly executed. Ngl. We stayed overnight in Sedona, and stayed walking distance to Tlaquepaque. It's this quaint village, in a town full of them! We were about to get on the road, and Secret Garden beckoned us to come in! I had a memorable and delicious breakfast. I had a basic egg and bacon breakfast. The bread was even fantastic! My husband had the burrito. It came with guacamole, and i think it's a local ordinance that guacamole has to be done right in Sedona. The vegan cheese they use is so reminiscent of real cheese (plantation brand) - delicious and stretchy making the texture great. True comfort food. I went to this place twice during my one week vacation to give you an idea of how much I loved it! My first server I think was named Jenna, she was really straightforward, had great recommendations, and I tried the mimosa flight and chicken salad croissant sandwich! What was unique to me about the mimosa flight is that many of them were muddled and made with organic juices, the blackberry was especially delicious. The garden itself is in incredibly well and has lots of hummingbirds and 100+ year old blue spruce tree. On my second visit, my server, Tanya told me about this Tree when she invited me to sit at a table that is on a Ley line. Mind you, I was already seated and she asked me if I would prefer to sit there and frankly- yes, I would! This is the type of thing I did come to Sedona for, and it didn't feel kitschy or fake. Tanya told me a lot of really interesting things about Sedona, and what I loved (especially as a solo diner) is that I had to ask questions. It wasn't like she was hanging around my table to tell me stuff. One thing I know is that the garden is decorated largely by her green thumb, and it really pays off. Thanks to her recommendations, the rest of my trip was incredible. I ordered the open face veggie omelette, and I cannot speak highly enough about this dish. It's flavorful fresh seasonal produce, and so perfectly seasoned that I didn't even have to use salt. I also tried the seven sacred pools martini with local chakra vodka, which was fresh and delicious as well. Five stars for this place! Not only was my visit independently so beautiful and nourishing, but the tips that I received at this restaurant, set up the rest of my trip for success. Kind of on the pricier side for what it is (my total was $30 before tip) but it was good so I can't complain too much. Service was good and I was seated quickly. There is a nice outdoor seating area which is covered. It wasn't too warm or too cold so that was nice.
