How have I NEVER EVER reviewed Moonlite? This has been our family go to diner for a solid 15 years! From milkshakes to patty melts to a full sit down meal of meatloaf w/mash! And a nice ALL DAY breakfast option Moonlite stands solid behind the American diner standards. Everyone is always welcoming & make you feel like you are right at home! Even their snarky sarcastic humor is what makes this place feel like you are at home! Food has always been consistently fresh & made to order so you cannot go wrong!

Had no idea entrees could be ordered with: soup or salad, plus wine, plus dessert for only $3.99 more! What a deal! And house wines are often dry and bitter, but I enjoyed this cabernet. (In Florida, drinking alcohol before noon is the norm.) We live here to feel relaxed. The waitresses know me, but I see how friendly they are to all the clients. Delicious comfort food, kind staff, epic deals, and a relaxed atmosphere make the Moonlight Diner a community jewel for over 25 years. We luv you.

Old school diner, fun memoribilia on the walls, decent size menu with breakfast all day. Our go to spot when In the area. Priced well and the service is fast and friendly. Shopping nearby which is a plus. They have a good sized parking lot and outdoor patio.

I went on a whim while exploring Hollywood and was not disappointed! I arrived around 1pm on a Saturday and got seated right away which was nice. Server was quick to take our order, though the food took a little longer than expected. I got a grilled cheese with sweet potato fries and a vanilla milkshake and that combo really hit the spot! The decor was fun too and they have outdoor seating as an option as well.

The only thing I dislike about working late nights is that most restaurants are closed by the time I clock out and am undecided on what I want to eat. I did recall a Moonlite Diner location in Hollywood so I decided to stop by and get some food to go. There were a few people dining inside when I arrived. I greeted two female employees and asked for the menu. After contemplating for a few minutes, I finally chose the meatloaf deluxe sandwich which was served with one side (fries). Here's what I thought about the food: The sandwich in itself wasn't much to get excited over, though the slices of meatloaf was topped with grilled onions and cheese, it lacked seasoning and the fries was a bit hard. I managed to only eat half of it. I'm not sure when I would visit this diner again. Though it was a different location, it was my second visit and the food I tried on both occasions did not wow my taste buds.

I came here with my better half and we had a very nice breakfast . All prepared perfectly and not greasy which makes me happy . Coffee was very good too and reasonably priced . They are right across the Home Depot store . Also service was very good too.

I don't often go to diners, but they're my husband's favorite type of restaurant, so we decided to try Moonlite in Oakwood Plaza, just west of the Home Depot. I'm so glad we did--it was perfect. I ordered the meatloaf after reading the great Yelp reviews, and my husband went with the salmon sandwich. I also upgraded my meal with a sundae, onion soup, and a glass of wine for just under $4. I didn't end up drinking the wine, so I can't comment on that, but the meatloaf was delicious--definitely reminded me of the kind my mom used to make. It comes with two sides, both of which were tasty, and the onion soup was great too. My husband said his salmon sandwich was five stars, and his side of sweet potato fries was equally delicious. The sundae was fantastic, though it could have used a bit more hot fudge. Still, it was a generous portion and perfect for sharing. The diner has a fun 50s vibe with an updated look, and there's plenty of parking out front. I'll definitely be coming back!

I come by from time to time, it is always a pleasure. Their expansive menu has never let us down. From French toast to steak and eggs, always great. The old school music adds to the experience...

Also reasonable price points for a combo sub to quick pick up for you or the kids. I also had the Mexican Street corn chicken sub ( not pictured) which was surprisingly good. One thing to note, I was not greeted at the door or counter. I was also not given a goodbye when leaving, again not a deal breaker. But I do appreciate a welcoming or a "what can I get started for you?". I placed my order and was given a number to wait to be called, wait time around 10-15 minutes. The dining room was dated, but had a sub shop aesthetic to it. Tables were very clean, business did not seem dirty at all! Now to the food: Mozzarella Sticks: Not crispy, not fresh, NO CHEESE PULL, a tad freezer burner and had a flavor of a dirty grill. I ate them all (big back). But these were by no means average, well below. The marinara was too chunky to dip into and was not fresh. ~ 6/10 Parmesan Chicken Cutlet Sandwich: Bread was tasty, toasted and fresh. Same marinara was used for the sandwich. Chicken was cooked well (tender), wish it was a little crispier though. The chicken could use a little more seasonings. The cheese was cheese, nothing bad about it. At the time of ordering I felt the price was high ~ $16 for the sub, but the portions match it. Good job here. Still a little freezer burned flavor in the sandwich. I'm willing to give them another shot with something a little more traditional of a sub shop!

The restaurant itself occupies 2 shops in the strip mall, one side holds the kitchen and the takeout area, and the other side has the smallish dining area. I am Vietnamese born in the States and grew up Philadelphia and Northern Virginia, both places that have a sizeable Vietnamese population, so I spent most of the last few years wondering where good Vietnamese food is around Miami. Well, a few minutes inside and we already knew this place is legit. It's small but comfortable, the staff is attentive, and the food is authentic. My wife and I started with the banana blossom chicken salad which came with a perfectly seasoned sweet fish sauce (in case you're wondering, banana blossom is not sweet or fruity but has a slightly floral slightly earthy flavor like a mild artichoke). I got the Com Ga Ninh Kieu, which is similar to a Hainan chicken if you're familiar with that - yellow poached chicken is served with rice thats cooked wiht the chicken juices and broth, topped with crispy fried onions (or shallots, I forgot) and a side of sweet ginger-y fish sauce; the meat was juicy but still packed with flavor. My wife got the chicken pho, which came with the same juicy and simple but tasty chicken, and a broth that wasn't too salty but still packed with chicken flavor. The food was all delicious and reminded me of the same no-frills tasty cooking that my family grew up with in Philadelphia; even the veggies on the side were legit. To my surprise after reading online, the owners actually immigrated to Philadelphia before eventually relocating to Florida! My only wish is that this place was closer to downtown Miami so I could come try the rest of the menu.
