Let me start by saying, Jennifer , our waitress, is absolutely amazing. She is friendly and attentive. Moonlight Diner serves comfort food and I was overdue for my visit to Moonlight. I cannot stop raving about this place. My BF and I decided to stop in after arriving back in town. I, as usual, started with one of their milkshake of the day, the Twix Milkshake, and OMG, it did not disappoint. And of course there was extra which could not fit in the glass and was also served. My BF decided on the blue cheese burger with onion rings and he says it was thick and juicy. And the onion rings were not overly breaded. I had the French onion soup to start. Came out piping hot in a cute pottery bowl and the cheese cap was perfectly thick. It was very tasty. For the main course I had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. There was the perfect amount of buffalo sauce mixed with the chopped fried chicken tenders. Ranch lettuce, onions and tomatoes finish off the wrap and when eaten all flavors work well together. For a Florida diner, the food is very good. Living in New York, expectations are always low for diners outside of my area.

We were sat in the back due to having a toddler who needed a high chair so we'd be out of the walking way for customers & staff (which we didn't mind). Unfortunately, we never got served and no one walked our direction for the 15 minutes we waited. Multiple staff looked our direction from across the diner and didn't question why we were not being served and looking at them. We let the manager know on our way out why we were leaving. We just moved to the area and were really excited to try this place, so we were sad when we did not get the diner experience. read more

Okay They are kid friendly. My godson is a flirt. He just eats up attention. The hostess and waitress catered to his needy heart's delight. He smiled and blew kisses to the girls and they gave him a huge plate of chicken nuggets and fries. He was already in heaven. Then they come back with several dipping sauces and he about lost his mind. Food is good service is pretty awesome. I give it a 3 because the last exchange was so annoy bad. The change to the corn beef hash is such a a downer. It's great that the new hash is made in house and is more of a casserole - but now there is no real option to get a side of corn beef hash - I mean unless you what an up charge of nearly $8. All I wanted was the eggs, hash, and biscuit - which was $9 - to get something comparable is now nearly $16 bucks. I wasn't told this when I called in the order. Corn beef hash - simple out the can goodness. This is not the same as corn beef casserole that has a bunch of healthy stuff. It's actually probably better but still not what I ordered. read more

I stopped in this cute diner for breakfast. I loved the service I received from the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The manager even came over to check on us. I visited for breakfast. The menu had a wide selection of traditional breakfast items. I ordered a meal that came with pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage and a side of hash browns. From the outside, you get the sense that this diner is tiny, but I was so surprised with how big it is! Everyone was so kind, and the food is AMAZING. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating and all staff are wearing masks for safety. I had to pick and choose what I'd do for my 800th review - but this place deserves so much more than 5 stars. My friend and I stopped by before going to a football game at Hard Rock Stadium and it was better than expected! I must first say that the entire staff was so welcoming, kind and helpful. Every single employee asked how we were doing and checked on us. From the moment we walked in the door to the second we left, we were greeted and thanked. This is a true diner environment where there are locals and strangers from out of town are appreciated. The prices are fantastic, they serve beer & wine (yay mimosas!) and the menu has something for everyone. I ordered two eggs with meat (went with bacon, came with hash browns and I subbed fresh tomato for bread). Perfect all around. I really enjoyed everything about this place. It's great for families as well - they have outdoor seating too! It's located in the back of a shopping center and there is plenty of parking around. Getting one star today. Dropped daughter at school and was taking my father to breakfast before going to airport. Arrived at 7:10am. Sign on door say they open at 7. Yes workers inside, TVs on, blinds open but no one would unlock door. Knocked on door and lady looked right at us. Still no courtesy to come to door and explain why it was still locked. At 7:19 got in car and went somewhere else. As a frequent patron of the Moonlite I will not be back. No excuse for looking at someone and blatantly ignoring them. I liked the place. Looks like a diner you see in movies. I have been here 2 times and being honest the food wasn't bad and prices are fair. Their problem is their horrible service. The first time i didn't like how i was treated but gave them another chance because we all have bad days and it was only one waitress for all the tables. Bad decision. Came back to a different waitress that was by herself (again) and had a worst service experience. So at this point is not about having a bad day; i guess they need to hire people so their employes dont feel the preasure of all the tables and can treat you good. Wont come back ever again and don't recommend this place to anyone. If you cant hire people to treat your customers fine then don't have a restaurant. read more

Well, it's diner food, not finer food. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich (which came out looking as much like the picture in the menu as a toy poodle looks like a wolf). I mentioned it to the waitress and she agreed (apparently some of the cooks take more pride in presentation than others). It would have tasted better if it would have had some cheese melted into as it was pictured, but oh well. I could only stomach 1/2 of it and left the rest. The service was decent and friendly, thanks Jasmine! You're a solid 4-5 stars! I used the restroom and one of the cooks/bus-boys was in there too (all I know was he had a black t-shirt on with something about "shakes" on the back). After the toilet flushed he left the stall and walked out of the restroom (I was using their mediocre hand-dryer). I think he missed an extremely important step, don't you? I've been here a few times now, and it's as good as it gets as far as a diner is concerned. The staff are very attentive, the food is great, and atmosphere is relaxing and laid-back. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We've sat in both, and when it's warm I like to sit outside. It's next to a little pond of water. I've had some breakfast meals, and breakfast is always delicious! This time I had the BLT and added a fried egg and avocado. Turned out to be scrumptious, and devoured in like 5 minutes LOL Everything is pretty clean here for it being a diner. Finally got a straw for the water when the check came. When I told her I felt like she forgot I was there - she became very defensive and said she's been at my table several times. I visit the Moonlite Diner twice a week. The General Manger Kristie is not friendly and does not care about her patrons. She does not pitch in and help the servers when they are very busy. She sits at the counter and eats instead of asking the customer if she can get them a beverage while waiting for their server. She does not make you feel welcome at all. She is either bored with her position or just really does not care. When Ms Carla is on shift it is a completely different environment. She greets everyone and she assist the servers. She goes above and beyond to keep the place running smoothly and professional. I will continue to visit with the hopes that this issue is addressed and corrected. read more

This place is totally retro. A great find, plus it's Christmas day and they are busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Some people who were eating out doors brought their four legged friends. We opted to eat indoors in a booth. They have an extensive menu everything looked so good. When a menu is that big it takes a long time to decide. I decided on the country eggs benedict it's new in their menu. Two poached eggs on an extra large english muffin, with sausage, hollandaise sauce with cheddar cheese served with fried hash brown potatoes. I also ordered their fresh grits. Everything was delicious. They really do have fantastic looking sundaes. I was watching the waitresses making them and they were good. I would have ordered one if I could but I was beyond full. Definitely a place that I would come to just to get a milkshake or some sort of ice cream. I would sit at the counter. The staff was very friendly and different waitresses would just randomly come up to us to see if we needed anything. Everyone worked together which made our dining experience just that much better. Food is pretty good here and the restaurant is super busy. I met my mom here for a later dinner on a Friday night and the place was swamped. Our waitress was not attentive and we had to calls her over several times. She was very polite though. We ended up asking for a manager when getting the check because there was a $1.75 up charge on the sweet potato fries (which were not fully cooked) and $2 up charge on the onion rings. Neither of which was explained or confirmed when ordering. That's quite an upcharge in my option, especially since they are al frozen and fried items. Not to mention, there were literally 4.5 onion rings on my moms plate. The manager was actually very nice when he came by and ended up comping one of our meals. What a hidden gem! Such a cute diner in dania, I've always driven by but never stopped in. If you like the 50s & 60s this is a great place to go, just like the diners in the tv shows such as Riverdale's Pops diner. The staff is so friendly, Tina was such a sweetheart. The funny thing is, we live so close by this place, and talked about coming in here for years, but never did. So, it seems like the time is now. We walked in and felt like we just went through the time machine. The place is decorated like the dinner in the 50's, which I enjoyed a lot. The menu is nothing special, but the food tasted delicious. In this visit I ordered the grilled pork chop. The meat was very juicy and I love the steam vegetables served on the side. My wife ordered the omelet and she loved it too. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly and took really good care of us. In the end, the bill was like gong to Denny's, but the food and service was 10 times better. The only thing I felt kind of uncomfortable was their managers. After spending the day in Hollywood I needed a bite to eat. I've seen this location after many trips to the Oakwood Shopping Plaza, but never gave it a shot- until last night. I was pretty surprised to see that there were only a few cars in the parking lot. Note: the parking lot is not really that big. There's a sign for you to park across the street, basically in the Home Depot if there's not space. If you've been to the location in Cypress Creek you're familiar with the look and feel of the Moonlite Diner. It's got a retro, train-style feel to it: long narrowish hallway with booths along the side and traditional diner bar stool seating. What's nice is this location also has outdoor seating, but looks out on a small body of water. I'm not sure if it actually is a larger location, but it feels a lot larger than the Cypress Creek location. In terms of service, it was really consistent. The waitress kept us informed of the soups, gave recommendations and took our order quickly. She was attentive and very friendly. I ordered the Greek Salad, a change from my typical Santa Fe Salad, and I liked it. I didn't love it, but it was good. The veggies were fresh, the chicken was good- a little overcooked, but still somewhat juicy and the tomatoes were ripe and juicy. The dressing was a little bitter for my taste which I think is what threw me off a little; giving it a "tastes good" instead of a "tastes amazing". I wouldn't tell anyone not to get it, but personally, I don't know if I would go back JUST for that salad. The manager could be seen the entire time; checking in on every customer to make sure they are enjoying their experience. We ordered an omelet for $9.99 and you choose four fillings. We had a coupon through the VIP email program for free pancakes ($5 value). The omelet came with a biscuit, fried shredded potatoes, blueberries and a few strawberries. Overall, food was great and the service. Something happened in the past few years with this place that is evident of lack of care and poor training. I'm sure that the staff know the issue. This was my son's favorite place to grab burgers since 8 years old we would come here. His 18th birthday was Feb 4th and we came there for a traditional burger meal. The lady who came out to serve us was absolutely rude, turns out she was also the manager. We quietly went in and asked someone else to help get us another server to replace her as we sensed an attitude, this lady came storming out and giving us an attitude as to what the problem was and such. We really didn't want conflict but what was supposed to be a pleasant meal turned into an unpleasant one. This was years of tradition and to ruin an experience at our kid's birthday was low for the staff. I would recommend some changes to be made. They gave us another server but again the servers all look like they are lacking any serving skill. During the whole birthday lunch we sat by the outside deck and the cooks would come out and have smoke breaks blowing cigarette smoke and laughing right next to our table. I'm sure this doesn't happen often or people don't care but this totally ruined our experience and we have been coming here for years. Hope you guys straighten our your ways. read more

Originally from southwest Missouri, I have been craving a local diner. After months of drooling over Moonlight's Instagram, I finally made the journey up from Miami Beach. Starving and indecisive, our server Marina had the best suggestions. Mimosa? Yep... didn't know they had a mimosa as a first timer, and somehow that was exactly what I wanted. Club sandwich?
