Great stop for quick food and beverage! I've lived in the area for a while and finally decided to give this place a try because, based off of pictures, it looked like the perfect place for me to settle in and get some work done. I got the blueberry pomegranate smoothie, which was absolutely delicious. My sister also go the Buffalo Chicken Panini while we were there and she absolutely loved it! The space was clean and perfect for completing work. Towards the front of the restaurant, there was a nook surrounded by windows which I felt was perfect for someone who likes to work surrounded by natural light! Moon rise has a great selection of coffee, teas, lattes, frozen yogurt , and baked goods. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff is very friendly. They open fairly early in the morning and are open late if you want to grab some coffee or yogurt after a late dinner. The chai latte is excellent. Decided to give this place another chance after a few months ago one of my close friends had a horrible racially-tinged customer service experience with the man who's always there. Sadly, nothing has changed. The woman and the guy who are always there are just nasty. I've been there a few times and hoped each time that maybe they had been just having a bad day, but no, they're just unfriendly people who get annoyed when you begin to inquire about ingredients. They're careless and have served things to me with gluten even after I had asked for my meal to be gluten free. Stay away from here. read more

Undeniably the best kept secret in north haven for high quality beverages and food products. The coffee is good, the teas are plentiful and they steep the teas. Artisan bagel and flat bread sandwiches are delicious, the froyo is really good and there are so many toppings! Belgian waffles are freshly made and my fave is probably the special breakfast sandwich. definitely a place to stop in the morning. My favorite drink is iced London fog tea. read more

I love this cafe. Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff. Had chocolate mint frappe today. Delicious. They are open 7am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday and 8am to 6pm Sunday. They are nice to everyone and have great wifi. read more

Love this place! In the center of town and has an AMAZING frozen yogurt bar, wonderful coffees and teas and several food choices as well. It pains me once again to give this place a one star because it has NOTHING to do with the food or the younger staff who work the front when the owners are in the back. The bagels are delicious, seriously SO GOOD and I order a few times a week until recently. Ive tried to ignore and forget how incredibly RUDE the owners (i think) are. On multiple occasions the woman has told me how WEIRD my order of a bagel with extra cream cheese is.. have been told SO RUDE how the man is alone and he cant make the food as he flips out and treats the workers and customers like crap. this place would do SO much more money if they actually cared about the customers and had one ounce of customer service in their bones. I now only come when im really craving their food and even then i am hesitant because of how nasty they are. I understand places are short staffed and i dont mind waiting but the anger and flat out rude nature of the owners are whats keeping this business from being amazing. read more

Stopped in at this place for breakfast because of other people's reviews. The food and service was very good and the interior decor is nice and relaxing with subtle smooth jazz on the radio. My breakfast was an egg & cheese sandwich with turkey bacon on a toasted croissant and a coffee and bagel w/cream cheese. The only down side of my experience here is that menu is a bit difficult to navigate through, by that I mean, you can get anything you want for breakfast, but the menu doesn't indicate that. The breakfast menu reads only three or four items on it. (The server at the counter said, I can order my eggs any way I want). I would definitely return here. This place is much more relaxing than the standard fast paced breakfast diner. Over all it's a good place to go to start your day. read more

I love this coffee shop with its myriad sandwiches, drinks, froyo, and snacks,, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I've been here three times and each time was either ignored or forgotten about for unreasonable amounts of time. I try to be patient but I'm normally pretty hungry in the morning. I just figure if I'm dining in I shouldn't have to wait for the next ten take-out customers to get served before I have to remind the staff to even just START preparing my order. Personally, I don't have two extra hours in my mornings to waste waiting on a single underfilled panini sandwich and a coffee. I think they charge enough to provide competent staff... won't be returning unless I'm desperate. read more

Went here on a whim, because I grew up in North Haven and remember the amazing bagel place they used to have in this location when I was growing up. The inside is very clean, but rather dark. Many dark colors actually... Anyways, the staff was friendly and my bagel was delicious. I love that they have numerous tea's that you can choose from- I haven't seen that anywhere around. We asked her for a bag for our food at the end and she said "everything isn't going to fit into one bag" and stares at us. So give us two bags? The whole time we were there our encounter was like that. The one girl in particular acted like she hated her job and that anything we asked for was a chore. A great selection of coffee and panini. The bagels looked great, a friend enjoyed the egg and cheese one. I chose the buffalo chicken and blue cheese panini, caramel apple latte - then opted for a small frozen yoghurt. Everything was great. Staff were friendly and attentive - food was tasty and the expresso used for my coffee was superb. The choice for frozen yoghurt was immense, I opted for a mix of salted caramel and cookies and cream...with a lot of toppings on display, the customisation available is huge. What a great "find" on Yelp. The name "Moon Rise, Coffee and Yogurt" doesn't do this place justice. The outdoor signage makes it look like a Baskin-Robbins, but It's more like a homegrown, upscale Starbucks. Eclectic interior furniture and food and coffee made to order. Our breakfast sandwiches were hot and FRESH. I watched the owner grind and press our organic plain coffee, and you can taste the difference. Very cool vibe here, needed to have a quick meeting with a local distributor and didn't want to try and find a table at Starbucks. Coffee was very good, also had an egg and cheese on a bagel which was solid. Not the biggest fan of microwaved scrambled egg but understandable since they don't have a stove or the room for it, at least it was cracked and whipped up fresh. Young girl behind the counter was very friendly. Great spot for a meeting business or friendly, definitely a good date spot, did not try the frozen yogurt but they seemed to have a great topping selection and most importantly it was spotless. read more

Great place. Stopped here due to high Yelp review rating. We drive by this area often. Coffee is fresh and full of strong aroma as high end coffee should be. Place is designed fresh and has a very comfortable ambiance. Menu is very different than the norm coffeehouse and has a small variety of panini.
