Gr8 place to hang out, chill out, shoot some schtick, talk to some beautiful babes. They have a burger person stop by on occasion to offer up some scrumptious burgers at a reasonable price. All staff is chill, friendly and helpful. They got a jukebox to help pass the time and a good selection of beer & tequila. Cruise by and say hey

I believe this place qualifies as a "dive bar". As such, it gets a 5/5 (that is, if you like dive…read morebars!). It has a great vibe that I can't quite describe. Happy customers (sometimes a bit too happy!), happy employees, very old school decor inside and out. Fun outdoor seating along Kettner, so you can hang out and watch the cars go by if you get bored. Plus, this place has been around FOREVER (in San Diego terms at least). We go there quite often, and it's usually packed when other nearby bars are empty. There is usually seating available in the back booths if the front of the bar is too crowded. The drinks and bar food are very well priced, even outside of happy hour! So this is a good place to check out if you're getting tired of the $25++ cocktail circuit! Their breakfast/brunch menu is worth checking out too- not fancy chef stuff but pretty good for a dive bar. Lastly, free parking in the area might be tough, but the trolley stops nearby at the Little Italy station.

The drinks are strong and well priced, which is not a combination you can find many places these days! They don't serve food, but they are fine if you want to bring your own, which many folks do. This place was exactly the vibe we were hoping to find. The second we walked in, I loved the vintage feel of the decor. It has that authentic old-school saloon energy that can't be manufactured. A genuine neighborhood watering hole with personality - a little worn in, full of character & packed with stories. One of the best parts of our visit was the bartender, who also happened to be the third-generation owner. He struck that perfect balance of being super friendly & welcoming without being all up in our business. You could tell he genuinely cared about the place & its history. He shared some great stories that made the experience feel personal. We settled in for some drinks & soaked up the atmosphere.
