Now it's my son's turn for his first round and I'm so glad we have the option of Benson Orthodontics now that we are in TN! We had NO IDEA just how terrible our previous orthodontist was until we started treatment here. We have felt welcome from the moment we called to make our first appointment. Everyone is so friendly. Dr. Benson was very informative when explaining the treatment my son would need, and Rhonda is fantastic at explaining and working with you to figure out the financial aspect of it all. The welcoming environment is just the tip of the iceberg. We were greeted with a front row parking spot marked with my son's name and balloons for his first appointment, which made him feel a little less nervous. The young lady who placed his brackets and wires talked him through what she was doing, while she was doing it, so he wasn't so anxious. I love that I'm able to sit in the treatment area with him and that they have a brushing station and video games nearby, so I don't have to worry about making sure he brushes at school before his appointment if we don't have time. At our previous orthodontist, we felt like we were being herded through like cattle and never felt welcome. I love that at Dr. Benson's office, they have incentives for the patients to take good care of their braces. Being rewarded for such tedious, not-so-fun tasks is fantastic for a 9 year old! Another thing that I thought was great, was the bag full of items they send home with you to help in caring for your new mouth full of metal. They gave us wax, floss, flossers, a new waterpik, toothbrush, toothpaste, a Benson tee, a guide with a list of what my child should avoid eating, etc. and a really great laminated placard to stick to his bathroom mirror that has real photos of how it looks to properly brush and clean braces, with instructions. It also has photos of what broken wires and other problems look like, so he can stay aware if something doesn't feel right in his mouth. AND to top it all off, Dr. Benson, himself, not an assistant or other member of his staff, called the first night after getting the braces placed, to check on my son. I've NEVER experienced the level of patient care provided at this office. Which is very depressing given the amount of money we gave the previous office for my daughter's care. Also, I can't end this review without mentioning the coffee station in the lobby and fresh, soft cookies on the front counter for you on your way out. My son actually WANTS to go to the orthodontist. I can't wait until they start treating my daughter for her final round of treatment as well, because I feel like she missed out on a better experience by not having Benson Orthodontics as an option. I even apologized to her for it.

FFto 2021. lower plate denture was the procedure I agreed to pursue. The exam and all that. different staff from my previous experience. extraction of bottom teeth. some broken, all failing.i was sent to the office manager. I felt the cost was rather inflated compared to previous procedure. after Covid, still no toile paper and all. my broken teeth were being charged as surgeries even though the teeth had something to grab and came out like the rest. after care and waiting for my permanent plate was long and exhausting. The yep plate was so bulky so I was using cushion grip and fixadent and felt like I had deep jaw pockets. ff to my permanent plate. bulky as the temporary. rocked as I chewed. The office told me the bottom would never be like the top and any complaints were brushed off and I just did the I'll do my own adjustmenta rather than deal with the staff that I felt thought I was just a complainer. I have lost weight since then and called Aspen of lebanon tn to schedule a realign. all new staff etc, 2026. Had a feeling of dread for whatever reason and kept rescheduling. I would get the request for confirmation for a new patient comprehensive exam.... I'd call and tell them the same thing... same thing repeated multiple times. felt sickened that I would be sent to the financial manager after arguing with staff that I only needed a reline. I was assured by the customer service agent I spoke with that my fears were unfounded. But, yet again, new patient comprehensive exam. By this time, I was up to applying fixodent 3 times a day. My Appointment was scheduled for this morning at 11am. I hit some backed up traffic on the way into Lebanon so I called to inform a 5-10 minute delay. This was before 11. The receptionist was abrupt in telling me if it was going to be over 5 minutes later than 11 I would need to reschedule. The office had lunch at noon and no way to accommodate me. I told the staff I was moving in traffic so I would be delayed less than 5 minutes getting aggravated I said I just need a reline. After looking at all the appointments available every 15 minutes I was puzzled why a 5 minute delay would set them back over 55 minutes later. Oh! The staffer says, our lab tech quit, anything needing anything ilike that I'd need to call the gallatin tn location.?call me crazy but I expected something like, Im sorry about this schedule snaffoo can I get you the number for the Gallitin location? Not, well, when we found out what you needed we would've turned you away today. WOW.... Just the dismissive attitude. The way she came across was how dare I inconvenience her this close to lunchtime.... I will again praise, stand a applaud the staff of January 2021! I did get to see the dentist that was so helpful. No discounts or anything like that, just some much appreciated kind attitude. A sense of well being. Confidant putting my trust in Aspen dental of Lebanon. I was more than put off about this morning and realized I was correct having the feeling of apprehension. I don't give many bad reviews I just don't go back. Do your research and read all reviews before making a commitment to handing over a lot of $$ to a place that is in my opinion sub-par at the very least.

The last visit included work on my old bridge that I was not informed about prior and I was sent home with excessive bleeding and pain with no pain medication or instructions of any kind, then two days later one of the temporary crowns came out which caused even more pain. I called the office the same evening of my visit due to the excessive bleeding and no one from the office returned my call fortunately I finally was able to stop the bleeding after 3 hrs. I recently had another follow up appointment and was supposed to be sedated however the office waited to call in the prescription late in the evening before my visit after I made two attempts to pick it up so needless to say it was not ready, this has happened twice. I'm looking for a new dentist who actually cares about their patients.

You are greeted with a smile when you walk in, and they are extremely courteous over the phone. We've not experienced one rude employee.
