They have every thing you need the price are high. To me they are Price gouging for example a bag of range cubs i can get at tractor supply for 12.00 they want 19.00 and there baby chickens i can get for 4.50 and they selling for 7.00 or higher. I no there other places in San Antonio were you can get feed. unless they go down in there prices I don't recommend going here. Your paying double read more

I've been to a handful of feed stores and I drive far just to get to this store. Theres a young man there with curly short hair that always helps us and is just so polite and very knowledgeable. The fact that he remembers what feed we get and asks us about our silkies we purchased is just so impressive. He always gives us advice and leads us to the right direction when purchasing items. Best feed store in San Antonio hands down I've been going here for almost a year now. It's now our go to feed store. read more

Moore's seems to have been around forever. I remember coming here as a kid with my mom. The building looks like an authentic farm shed with silos on the property and the cluck of various birds coming from inside. There's animal food galore here. Tons of large bags of feed for your dog, cat, rabbit, and chickens. I even spotted powdered goat milk. There's an aisle dedicated to lawn care and pest abatement and bins of bird food. I come here to buy rabbit food and ever since I moved back to Texas I wanted my daughter to have the South Texas experience. So, when she got straight A's on her report card I brought her here knowing she would just die for the baby chicks. I already had in mind getting a couple so it was the perfect set-up! She fell in love with the Buff Orington's and we've had such a blast raising them for 3 months now. They are super healthy and just gorgeous with their golden feathers. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable about animal care and management and will haul the bags of food to your car. If you love furry animals, don't come here. You'll fall for the rabbits, baby chicks, guinea pigs, and worse . . . they have the cages and feeding bowls you'll need to take them home. read more

Only feed store in the area, really small but has what you need, the gentleman who helped was nice but the lady at the counter was very uptight, she did not help me once and made the checkout very awkward for not only me but the gentleman helping me. If you don't trust your fellow employee with what they are ringing in then maybe update the checkout system. read more

Needed to come on here and say that there are some very knowledgeable individuals at this Feed and Seed store. Glad we came across them. We have a Tshitsu who started feeling sick all of a sudden. Nathan helped my husband and recommended a few items that would help aid in getting "Diesel" all better. What a Big Blessing. You can tell that this place has some serious history. It looks like it's been around forever. The store kind of meanders around the tin shack building. They do have all kinds of dog food, horse feed, you name it. The place wasn't exactly the cleanest, but I guess your horse probably won't mind. They've got stuff to feed the animals, and stuff for the yard too. If you need fertilizer, or other lawn care stuff, they've got it, in huge quantities. read more

I should have reviewed this place a long time ago - they deserve recognition for their fantastic service and selection. I drive a ways out of my way to go here despite much closer feed stores in our area. It's one stop shopping for supplies for our chickens and higher end dog food (like Taste of the Wild, among others), and the employees are very knowledgable if you ever have questions. They'll also load things directly into your car if you need the help. I've been a loyal customer for over a year now and have never been let down! read more

I had bought two baby ducklings 2 in a half weeks ago I was so excited. The lady at the store gave me a mix of chick and turkey starter food. I started to notice that one of the baby ducks was sleeping on its side or on his back. I would pet him and put him on his belly. I was concerned. So I call the feed store and the lady said come in and buy a antibiotic that you can put in their water . So I did. The ppl at feed store said it was weird. And they never heard of the ducks doing that. But I think it was too late for that. I was heart broken when one of my baby ducks had died. And I went back to buy another so the one I have wouldn't be lonely. But now the older one is starting to act the same as the one that died. I'm giving them straight chick starter , Instead of that mix. I don't know if that mix has anything to do with it or not. I get very attached to my pets. I'm worried that I may lose another. IF ANYONE READS THIS AND KNOWS WHAT ELSE I CAN DO PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!! AND NO IM NOT PUTTING THEM IN WATER. The lady said not till there 6 weeks or older with supervision. So it's not that.
