Hands down the strangest, most glorious fever dream of a bar I've ever walked into. Picture this: the floor is literally covered in hay or wood shavings (so basically, you're drinking beer in a giant hamster cage). Then you look up, and BAM, gambling machines blinking like Vegas' dirtbag cousin just moved to town. And the beer? Cheaper than bottled water, colder than your ex's heart. Then, plot twist, out comes the pizza. Not just pizza, but one of the top 3 pizzas of my life. And yes, I used to live in NYC, where pizza is basically its own religion. I felt like I was committing a spiritual crime by admitting that this barn-casino-hamster-habitat served a slice that holy. The crowd? Everyone knew each other like it was the world's rowdiest family reunion. Only instead of Aunt Carol yelling at Uncle Frank, it was strangers buying me beer and peanuts. I nearly ordered a second pizza, but then I remembered airplanes have seatbelts, and those seatbelts do not negotiate with fat boy belly bloat. Final verdict: This place is chaos, carbs, and community spirit rolled into one. A bar, a petting zoo, a casino, and a pizzeria walked into a barn, as if God spun a wheel of random nouns and said: "yup"

Listen. This place is an institution for a reason. It's darker than the blackest night inside. I don't recommend showing up in Tevas because there is in fact sawdust on the floor and it will get on your feet. The pizza is hella good but whether or not it comes out in a timely manner is predicated upon the time of day. The staff is a real mixed bag--the gentleman bartender was not personable, but the woman who came on after him was a real gem and very sweet! I've only been in the area twice now and have stopped both times--I plan on making it a tradition. Drinks are hella cheap too. And if you don't have time to go in, they have a gift shop with great staff inside! So you can still get yourself a shirt or hat or sticker or all three! Get your buns down to Moose's!!

This place is very different from other pubs I've been to. Firstly the ground is filled with straw?! I can't make out what it is as it's quite dark in there. The music is good, atmospher is friendly, staff are also friendly. The bartender directed us to the order window at the corner - clearly we looked lost. LOL. Anyway, we ordered a 12" combination pizza and a house salad with dressing on the side. The edges of the pizza came out crispy, oh so good. The base was also very thin but also crispy. The side salad was a good size. Love the atmosphere. Because leaving this place - your eyes might get a shock when you open the door. LOL

The veggie pizza and the cheese pizza were both very very good! Third time at the Moose & it never disappoints

Honestly, not sure what's so great about this place. Dimly lit is an understatement. I guess the best thing about it is the cheap beer ($3) sold in frozen schooners. My wife and I each got 10" pizzas. I got pepperoni and sausage, while she got cheese. It was lunchtime, so we waited our 25 minutes for the pizza. Of course, her cheese came out with pepperoni and had to be sent back to be remade. You'd think they would've put a rush on it, but no, I was basically done with mine before hers eventually came out. The pizza had ok flavor, but the toppings are buried, and the taste all kind of ran together. The crust isn't cracker thin, but it was real thin and kind of spongy in a weird way. Kind of like an upscale frozen pizza. Bar service was a bit snarky on one of the trips to get beer as well. I get that there's history here, so if you want the dark saloon feel, fine. But if you go in expecting the best pizza, you might be disappointed.

Beer tastes better in a goblet. It's scientifically proven (probably)

Hands down the best pizza in Montana. Anytime I come to the Flathead, I stop by for a pizza, a beer, and some peanuts.

Wonderful time here. Great to visit if you're traveling in the area. Beer is incredibly tasty and inexpensive. Friendly staff

$2 local beers. Pizza that is greasy, priced well, and has a unique crust. Sawdust on the ground. Great local crowd. Love it

Pizza was good but be prepared for a loud bar atmosphere. A bit confusing to newbies but the pizza made up for it.

As always, Jersey Boy's was fire. The pizza is so good... This place honestly has some of the best pizza you will find (and not just in NW MT). The pizza is thin, crispy, tangy, and always cooked perfectly... It's no kidding as good as anything you'll find in Jersey or NYC. Plus, the food is really well priced (the lunch special is two slices, two drinks, runs $12 w/ tip). The pizzeria is clean, the staff is friendly/accommodating, and it's just a super chill place to come get high quality NYC-style pizza and cold MT craft beers. Be advised... The pizzeria recently moved (last year) so they're no longer in downtown Whitefish... They're now located on the outskirts of town on HWY 93 headed to Kalispell. It sucks they moved from downtown, but their new location is bigger and nicer. You will not be disappointed with Jersey Boy's.

Like a lot of other places we've been to in Whitefish you grab a table and go up to order. The menu looked great...lots of interesting pizza and sandwich options along with some salads and sides. I had an antipasto salad and it was HUGE and so tasty. I loved the artichokes and all of the olives and the house dressing was also really good. My kids had a cheese pizza, so I had a slice of that too. It was really good, but I think I would have preferred one of the other options. My husband had a slice with sausage, mushrooms and onions and he said his was awesome and much better than the plain cheese. I definitely recommend this place!
