I had some work done by his brother and boy was that a mistake. He kept changing me different amounts each day. Wanting more and money. What finally broke the camels back was when the the work was over he wanted another $150 for work he didn't do and he decided to hide his garbage in my truck and tell me. When I confronted him about it he pretty much said ohh well. Now he's demanding I pay him the $150 for work he didn't do. Yes this the landscaping company but this guy is part of the landscaping company. So stay away from these guys.

After finding Ricardo on yelp with his three reviews and calling him at about 2 in the afternoon that Sunday, he came by an hour later and gave me a super reasonable estimate. He was there Monday afternoon at the time we had agreed upon with a helper after giving me the requested 30 minutes heads-up call so I could zip home from my office. They worked for about 5 hours straight and did every single thing we had discussed the day before, exactly as I had imagined: Hedges, trees, grass, an overgrown walkway and yes, that evil pampas grass! The result was a a pristine front yard with everything he had cut down, chopped off and swept up loaded on his truck and hauled away. He even swept the garage floor in the short period of time that the door was up between me and my wife getting home... what a treat that was this morning (Wednesday) when I finally noticed it! He also gave me a reasonable quote for bi-weekly maintenance so I'm officially off the hook for keeping my yard in shape, ready to turn in my hedge trimmer.

When he bid the tree that I needed trimmed he explained lacing- the technique to keep the tree beautiful while trimming it back. It's a lot more of an art than I realized!! His price seemed expensive until I got other bids. I'm glad I went with him- my tree looks great! I love driving around and seeing his truck all over the community because I know he does a great job for all of his customers. I guess he does sprinklers, too. I never received a callback. I did receive a call from another tree service and scheduled with them. I needed to get the work done and never got a response to my message for Atlas. I scheduled with the other company and the work was completed. They did a great job. I received two calls on 4/21/25 from Jeff at Atlas wanting to speak with me. (This was a few weeks after the work had been completed by the other company.). Also, Jeff's call came long after I had originally left the message for Atlas about scheduling the repeat service call. When I connected with Jeff, I found out he wasn't calling me about scheduling anything. He was calling me about an employee he apparently is having a dispute with. He wanted information about what had transpired and my scheduling with the other company. I explained how I scheduled with them as I never received a return call from Atlas. I needed to get the work done and didn't have time to wait for Atlas to call me back. Atlas' disputes with their current or former employees are absolutely none of my concern. In my opinion, it was completely inappropriate and out-of-line for Jeff to call me to dredge up information regarding Atlas' employees and alleged disputes the company may be having with them. Bottom line: Disputes between a company and their employees should remain between the company and the employee. Customers should never be pulled into the dispute. In my opinion, Jeff of Atlas Tree demonstrated extremely poor judgment with his decision to call me and dredge up information regarding their employee and potential issues. I won't be considering Atlas / SaveATree (their new name) in the future because of this interaction with Jeff.

Each time it seems that they were not spraying the crown and that the systemic didn't do the job or hadn't made its way to the crown. Recently they had been treating my grandpas 70 year old very rare Chilean wine palm. Apparently they weren't spraying the crown and it died. It is so sad and disappointing. The new homeowner said they just were there prior and that the crown was collapsing and that they still didn't spray the crown. Also from multiple people that I recommended atlas said they had to switch to another company because they wouldn't return calls and wouldn't show up when they were supposed to. It's so sad driving down the street seeing my grandpas iconic palm dead.
