So here's the full story-- Called early morning Wednesday (7:09am), The mechanic that answered looked at the schedule and said he could take a look and to bring it in. It was towed and dropped off at 7:50am. They couldn't get to it (I'm a single mom so had to rent a car to pick up my son from school) They called me the following day Thursday at 12:40pm, telling me they didn't pull it into the garage or run a full diagnostic as I requested, but instead they tried starting it up and that the Starter Motor needs to be replaced. (We figured that much) -- Noticing I will need an oil change soon they added that in, for a total of $880.00 for the repair. I asked for the price without the oil change and she said $728. NEARLY $160 for an oil change is absurd. When I asked about the diagnostic and why I was being charged for a diagnostic when they didnt even give me any information we didnt already know, and they didnt run a full diagnostic, I was faced with an attitude and told "we could have charged you $140 for an hour of diagnostics, but we only charged you for a half-hour". I'm sorry does pushing the start button on a vehicle take 30 minutes? As someone that lives a block away and this is the most convenient place, I STILL wouldn't go back. They also performed their complimentary PCA tech inspection, which is advertised as a thorough inspection. I specifically asked that all vehicle fluids be inspected before the event. During the track day, my car suffered a power steering failure that left me stranded. I had to call my regular mechanic to the track to repair the car so I could get it home, resulting in a significant repair bill and a lost track day. They offered no support or reparations. When I first contacted the shop, their response was simply, "You brought the vehicle to a track. We aren't liable." It was only after multiple phone calls that they acknowledged the power steering fluid had appeared discolored while the car was in their shop all day, but they never communicated that to me. I understand that track cars can fail. My issue isn't the failure--it's the lack of communication. I specifically asked for the fluids to be inspected, and the shop later admitted they noticed discolored power steering fluid but chose not to mention it. Had they done so, I would have serviced the system before the event. I've included photos of the power steering fluid taken after the failure and during the repair. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop if you're relying on them to prepare your car for a track event.

Not to mention eternally relieved to have finally completed a state inspection. What would otherwise be classified as an innocuous, yet necessary tradition, you would be surprised how difficult it is to find a place to get a proper state inspection done IF you're new to the area and not quite sure where to go. Worse yet....if you happen to have tint on your front windows like I did, you'd be hard pressed to find a place that will even perform said inspection, as it apparently violates NH state law. Anyway, this place is fast, efficient, and the staff are very accommodating. They even have a spiffy little waiting area with coffee and everything. Also, they accept Apple Pay. Which....I didn't realize until AFTER I already paid them with my card. See, they have one of those scanners that displays the option as the total is presented. I told the lady at the front desk they should probably post a sticky on the front door mentioning as much.
