I loved absolutely everything about our experience here. First of all, the beer: Phenomenal. Quite the range of options and everything we had was fantastic. The Henna is seriously the best beer I've ever had. So smooth and deceptively drinkable. The Black is Beautiful breakfast blend was also fantastic (this brewery has not one but TWO BiB options). I'm not even an IPA fan but the Blackberry Marbles was something I could drink all day. (They also have a decent selection of liquor.) Second, the food: Oh my gods. The best samosas I've ever had. The truffle cheese curds? *makes unintelligible noise indicating orgasmic enjoyment* seriously wasn't expecting the food to be so damn good. The customer service was fantastic. Easy reservation system, everything was clean and felt safe during this pandemic. They had the garage doors open for added airflow. The decor is great, kind of industrial and steampunkish. The brewery tanks are right there in the taproom. We were there so long we had two bartenders and both were friendly and prompt. The front desk person was quick and helpful. And there's a great selection of merch! I can't believe this is in Villa Park, of all places. Wish it was closer but it's so good, we will definitely make the trip back out again. read more

First things first. The burger I ordered was not the best burger I've ever had, but it was a good. It was a solid burger but the patties were a little dry and the entire thing tasted like it needed a little sauce to help it out. The reason why this place gets a 5 is because other than the meat being a bit dry, the burger was great. Simple and delicious. I ordered mine with pork belly (always better than crispy bacon) and an egg. The best thing out of the meal, however, were the fries. These fries are double fried and according to the bartender, are lightly battered to give it an extra crunch. And it absolutely made a difference! I feel like a lot of times, fries are given enough attention to. But these are definitely worth getting. Also the drinks here were really good. I ordered the triple IPA (citrus and honey) and the Popcorn. Both were outstanding. I also really liked the openness and brightness of the entire brewery because it made it feel homey somehow. Not to mention, this place played some funky 80s music while I was chowing down and I'm down with that. _______________________ Came back and ordered the hot chicken sandwich: Yay! Easy 5/5! This place left me wanting More! (Dad joke?) -- But really, I loved it and so did my super critical husband! We live about 20 minutes away but adventured out on a Friday to try a new restaurant. I was drawn in by the reviews and the menu, and was far from disappointed when we arrived. Although the place was packed, we only had to wait about 5-10 minutes for a table - and their waiting system is great (cell phone texts.) The building itself is very cool - modern and true brewery feel. And the menu was the best part! I went in knowing they offered *some* vegetarian dishes, but little did I know this place was a vegetarian heaven! They had one dinner special, and it happened to be an Impossible Meatball Sub. AMAZING GUYS! AMZING! I was torn with so many good options, but ultimately decided on that. For an appetizer, we could not pass up the Impossible Sliders, and you shouldn't either. The toppings they put on those things just makes it. Oh and I didn't even mention their beers? Very delicious and would definitely want to order a flight next time so I can try more. What a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Villa Park. Villa park is definitely trying to improve their smaller downtown area, and this place is a welcome addition to the area. We were instantly greeted when walking in the door and seated promptly. The atmosphere has the industrial feel to it, but very warm and inviting. The waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful with the beer suggestions. We both like the beers that we tried. There were 5 variations of their beers, but they also had other beer/cider on hand as well which I though was very nice. Beside that, there was also a full liquor menu. The old fashioned I had was great. The food is where this place really takes off. We were shocked how good the food was for a local brewery. We started of with the pretzel which comes with 3 dipping sauces. Don't hesitate, order it. Heck, order 2, because we almost did. Buttery salty goodness that was just hard to stop eating. The Nashville chicken sandwich and burger were both excellent. The burger itself was loaded with cheese and was just melt in your mouth. The spicy fries and sweet potato waffle fries were nice add ons. Although we do think they are starting to get a little high with the additional cost of each. We will definitely be back here to grab a beer and some food. The food itself outshined the beer in my opinion. Especially since the focus was on IPA's and it's not my most favorite type. These beers are great. You should expect mostly IPAs here. The merch is actually desirable so check that out too. So far the burger is definitely worth it, but the chicken sandwich wasn't juicy nor flavored enough. I'd bring friends here for the drinks, the decor, and maybe a few apps or that burger. But I don't think I would recommend waiting more than 20 minutes when it's cold outside. There is a nice system in place where you can track your reservation (made on location) on your phone though. So really 3 1/2 stars. Gave a 4 because most will either be impressed by the quality of the limited selection or underwhelmed; far be it from me to push people away from a place that they could really enjoy. I would go again for the beer and may be a couple of appetizers. Met a buddy of mine here, haven't seen him in about a year and he and his family live close by. I'm a huge fan of dark beers, and MORE BREWING, I found one of the smoothest coffee stouts I've ever had. Hush of Night, is a coffee stout that lacks the bitter off the tongue initial flavor, with a very smooth sweet creamy finish. After 2 pints, I'm a huge fan. More brewing also has a nice lineup of food, mostly bar foods. I had sliders and spicy fries. Both had very good flavors and complimented the beer. The 3 sliders had a nicely seasoned beef patty, a special sauce and garnish. Overall, this place will always have a special place in my beer travels, as this is currently the top ranked stout on my list...great job. I have had over 100 dark beers, and ive found a favor here... Next time I'm in Chicago, MORE BREWING will be on my list. read more

We were in the area and stopped by More Brewing for drinks and a bite to eat. There is plenty of parking around the restaurant (side and behind the building). The restaurant is pretty large inside with plenty of seating and a good size bar. As usual, my fiance ordered a flight of beer. We sat at the bar, so his four little glasses were just lined up on the bar for him. I noticed that people who sat at tables had their flights served on this cute little glass holder. They have a full bar, so I got wine and it was very reasonably priced. He tried the Brown Ale, Gold Simcoe Gold, Strange Behavior and Fermentation Wars, which was his favorite. We ordered the warm house pretzel and I must say that the beer cheese was delicious. I think I could eat warm pretzels every day of my life and not get sick of them. We also split a burger with truffle fries. It's weird but the burger tasted a lot like a Big Mac. And I'm not saying that in a bad way. I don't know if it was a sauce or how they cooked the burger. It was really good though. I would definitely recommend More Brewing to anyone in the area who likes good beer and good food! read more

More Brewing had been sitting on my 'to visit' brewery list for far too long. It's not a long ways from my home, but it is off the beaten path. Then a couple of friends said they'd tried the Huntley location and wanted to visit this one. Okay, let's check this one off. More is in small downtown Villa Park near the old Ovaltine building that was renovated into condo's. If you're on the Prairie path it's a block north of that. They have around 25 crafts on tap and/or in can, a large number to choose from. It's summer so they were fruit, wheats and IPA heavy during my visit, which isn't my bailiwick of beer choices, but completely understandable. The New Aesthetic shandy looked like a good choice and I enjoyed it. They have a nice food menu here with a little bit of everything. The turkey bacon club was pretty damned good, maybe a bit greasy (and maybe that added to the goodness!). I've heard great things about their porters and stouts so the idea is to come back when those are in full tilt. We enjoyed our visit and I'd recommend More wholeheartedly. Cheers! read more

I wish this place was closer to the city. A really great brewery! I came here with some friends on a Saturday night, and ordered a couple of beers and some appetizers. We had the house pretzel, cheese curds, and the poutine. Now I HATE IPAs, but I tried my friends and, while I despise the bitterness, I could taste the notes of orange in it. I had their ale, and it was quite amazing. The poutine was probably the best I had since I last had it in Toronto. The pretzel was super soft, appropriately salted, and the beer cheese that came with it was phenomenal. The cheese curds were great as well. From what I've tried, this place has really great beer and food. The venue itself is spacious and clean. If you're looking for a good quality brewery, this is your place. read more

We had a great experience here this weekend ! Came for the first time and our waiter was super friendly . Helped us pick some beers to try. The restaurants owners are Indian so some of the menu (definitely not all) as an Indian twist. I got the tikka masala and it was very very good. My husband got the Nashville hot chicken with spicy fries and said it was fantastic as well! All of the employees seemed super friendly and the music was a lot of old school taking back Sunday kind of vibe. Um, wow. I came for the beer, left thinking about cheese curds. And beer. I thought about a lot of things, all of them overwhelmingly positive! I have never seen a brewery that was so welcoming to kids. The had a kids menu, crayons, even milk for purchase. That made my life so much easier while I sampled brews. You can order 5 oz pours of beers if you just want to grab a taste. It's not cost effective but I was able to try 4 beers without becoming a hot mess. So yea, worth it. The guava beer (Double Frooted) could have passed for a guava nectar; I have never encountered a beer like that before. The Nighttide was my favorite though because I am a sucker for stouts and porters. So delicious. Yes, food is available too. We only ordered the cheese curds, which were fantastic. Made me very curious to try other things. Parking was easy on a Monday midday. We grabbed a spot on the street and many more were available. I don't live near this area but I truly hope I can come back to More Brewing again. It's worth it! read more

I love going here for the variety of brews. They have their staples but the rest of the drink menu does change from time to time. They brew seasonal beers too. One of the best parts is that they stock ice cold brews in huge coolers. There is always a nice variety. My daughter usually has their burgers which she says are amazing. I stick th the healthier chicken sandwiches and they are equally amazing. Different types of fries too. Most of the time the service is really good. Stopped in opening weekend to try things out. Quite busy with a wait but lots of space so things moved quickly. Limited food selection but everything we had was excellent. The sliders were shockingly a nice medium rare...not the typical grey pucks you'd get most anywhere else. The fries/potato wedges were great and the wings were a nice portion and come in several sauce options. The in house beer was all very good but pretty similar to each other in styles, looking forward to trying some other styles and maybe something a little darker. They also serve a few guest taps (a couple from Lombards near legendary Noon Whistle!) and spirits as well. Everything was pretty well organized for an opening weekend...though they definitely need a bar order line for people grabbing a beer while they wait for a stool or table. There's plenty of room to stand in the entry but people clogging up the path for the servers coming out of the kitchen is an accident waiting to happen. read more

My first ever Yelp review goes to More Brewing Company! WOW! Definitely recommend stopping by here if you are in the area. Their beers are superb, the staff is great, and the cheese curds are to die for. Even if you are not in the mood to drink, this is definitely a place that you can still go to to get lunch or dinner. The food is great quality and tasty, not like most bars or breweries that solely focus on drinks while serving frozen drunk food snacks. I recommend getting the spicy chicken sandwich and as I have already mentioned, the cheese curds. I grew up in Villa Park and when this brewery opened it really improved the town and sense of community. I feel that More has brought a lot of people together who were already in the area and has opened the door to invite new people to come visit for a reason. The location of More has also seemed to create new business opportunities around them, multiple new restaurants have been opening up in the area - including a bar/ice cream shop that sells boozy ice cream. We used to only have crappy (still fun) bars, but More is a lot more upscale and the atmosphere makes me feel like I am in the city - it almost seems too good to be located in Villa Park, but I am not complaining! read more

After enjoying some of their beer, I was able to go here for lunch with my wife. First of all, More puts out some of the best NE style IPAs in the Chicagoland area. They rival Hop Butcher and Phase Three. So if you're into the style, make it a point to go here. Usually, great breweries have lackluster or no food at all. However, More is also a full service restaurant. The food we had was typical elevated bar food, but it was very good. The beer was top notch, and they have all kinds of styles to suit whatever you want, but the hazy IPAs are their specialty. Our server was slightly slow, but he was friendly and provided good information. I was on the fence about giving this place four stars, but the great food and great beer is a combination not seen too often with all these microbreweries coming up, so it's worth the 5 stars. There are a couple of issues, though: -the music when we went was VERY loud, and it was fairly divisive hardcore punk type music. I listen to pretty heavy stuff, so it doesn't bother me. But my wife wasn't a fan, and it looked like some people were there for a business lunch (it was 1230 during the week.) Maybe turn it down a smidgen during the day as it was pretty intrusive. -limited crowler availability. There were cans to go, but I really enjoy taking home a crowler or growler from new places I visit. I understand a bit since a lot of their beers are big ABV, expensive hazies, but only a couple of beers were available for crowlers, and no growlers from what I could tell. A bit of a downside as a lot of breweries have more availability for this. That's really it as far as negatives. It's a beautiful place with good food and top notch beer. More Brewing Co. is a hidden gem in the suburbs where you normally only find dive bars, chain restaurants by the dozen, and your typical family restaurants. It has all the feels of a fun brewery in Milwaukee, with the exposed brick and amazing cheese curds. I loved the industrial but cozy decor, exposed ceilings, and brew tanks right there in the dining area. To find a small craft brewery, with food that actually tastes good is rare around these parts these days. You can tell they aren't just a brewery that sells food on the side - but that they have quality food to complement their standard in brewing. Between my husband and I, we got the Villa Pork (pulled pork sandwich with pickles and American cheese and sweet bbq sauce), and the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich (crispy/crunchy chicken sandwich with coleslaw and American cheese), both with an upgraded order of truffle fries (yes, they are worth the extra $2...get them), 2 Frooted raspberry/blackberry beers and the Karma Cup and Mintstachio desserts. Total bill $72. Yikes, we weren't set out to have an expensive lunch, but we couldn't help it. Everything was so tasty. Only issues: my husband's Karma Cup dessert was probably not worth $8. The brownie inside wasn't like a true, chewy brownie. And the ice cream was so frozen, he was struggling to scoop it out. I'd suggest either bringing a jackhammer...or ordering it early so it can sit and warm up. Also, his chicken was dry - and not hot (but if I ate it, I'd probably die...) I was ENAMORED with the frooted raspberry/ blackberry beer, that I couldn't stop talking about it. I can't wait to try their other frooteds. They apparently brew with hundreds of pounds of fruit. LOVE love love this place. I'm a huge fan of breweries & I've been to quite a lot of them. More is definitely very high on my list of favorites. It's served with 2 sauces (one tangy and spicy, the other cheesy and salty) & all of the flavors together were a perfect marriage. Since we couldn't decide between the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (as seen on WGN's best) & the burger, my fiancé & I got both so we could share them. The chicken sandwich is HOT, like forehead sweating hot. But we both enjoyed it. The burger was the winner for us though. They have many ingredients you can add on for $1-4. We added bacon and fried onion straws. From the soft buttered brioche bun to the mounds of melty cheese on top of 2 patties, it's to die for. Definitely get the burger if anything. We also ordered a flight of beer (my favorite for trying beers at a new place) & all of the beers were delicious. I even ventured out of my comfort zone & tried the strawberry milkshake stout..... never thought I'd say this but YUM! Super cool that you can get 5oz. pours of any beer too. It's the perfect size. I was not going to post a review originally because More's Manager came to our table and comped our meals and handled the situation perfectly, regarding being served raw chicken. But after mentioning this to my friends, this is not the first time this has happened. Recently, More has served raw chicken salad and today it was a raw chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, I am not one to complain but this has happened twice in my small circle of friends.
