I brought my Winnebago Solis to Leales in June 2025 in prep for a long trip to Alaska starting in…read morelate July. It had been a very busy year and I still had many demands on my time that were not related to the trip, and I was stressed. I asked them to do routine engine maintenance and to find out why the dashboard AC had stopped working. They did as I asked and found and fixed the problem with the AC right away. I wanted new tires plus a spare for the trip. Savio referred me to Ramon's and they did a wonderful job with the tires, including locating a rim for the spare. The Solis has no space for a spare. I ordered a mounted from Landed Gear and had it shipped to Leales and Leales followed the instructions for the installation so that the spare stayed put even when we drove the famously rough Alcan Highway there and back. The road is built on permafrost and its reputation has not been exaggerated - we encountered one car with two flat tires - but with good tires and slow driving, we never needed our spare. We also did not experience the problems I've read people have with other brands or improperly installed back door mounted spare tire racks: broken window or warping of the metal doors.

AVOID LEALE'S RV -- Misleading, Frustrating, and Unprofessional…read more I had a really frustrating experience with Leale's RV, particularly with Michael in their service department. I brought in my 2024 Thor motorhome for a battery-related issue. Michael incorrectly told me that my coach does not support Group 31 AGM batteries and insisted I would need to spend nearly $2,000 to upgrade to lithium. He was adamant, repeatedly citing his past experience working at Thor (from years ago) as the basis for his claims--even though the coach came from the factory with Group 31s. He had a condescending attitude and loves to talk on the phone explaining how experienced he was. Meanwhile, he keeps sending me photos of their posted $239/hr labor rate as if that justified the misdiagnosis or poor service, rather than addressing the actual issue. It felt like a deflection rather than a solution. Thankfully, Savio his manager was able to step in, confirm the unit was indeed compatible with Group 31 batteries, and help me get the right battery installed immediately. I bought the battery myself and dropped it off for a quick, proper install--something that should've happened from the beginning. Although I'm having to pay for the diagnostics even though they have the authorization from the manufacturer to cover the diagnostics! To make matters worse, I was told they wouldn't cash the reimbursement check from the manufacturer (Thor), but they cashed it anyway, leaving me out $700 and damaging my relationship with Thor. I had to chase down Thor myself for clarification and deal with the fallout. Despite talking to them on June 26 and then explaining that they closed the case and zero checks would be cashed. July 16 and Thor confirms the check was indeed cashed. This whole experience left me feeling deceived, ignored, and frustrated. Between the incorrect technical advice, the lack of accountability, and the poor communication, I cannot recommend Leale's RV to anyone looking for honest, competent service. I'm just glad that I did not pay for them to upgrade my batteries at $1,800 because the coach already supports lithium batteries.

We don't expect white-glove service from an RV repair shop, all we care about is that the job is…read moredone correctly and on time. Unfortunately, this shop failed at both, and the consequences could have been deadly. We brought in our mobile surgery RV to have the air conditioning system repaired. They told us to rush the vehicle there so they could get started right away. We made it clear from day one that we needed the RV on Mondays for our clinic days, and they acknowledged and agreed to that timeline. We were told the AC would be fixed in a single day, that the part was on its way and would arrive promptly. Instead, the part was delayed with no updates, and the repair dragged on with no clear timeline. In the meantime, we also asked them to check the brakes and suspension. The RV was left sitting there, again, nothing was done. We had to bring it back multiple times, each time hoping for progress, but left with no answers and no work completed. And then the worst part: when we finally got the RV back, not only was the rooftop AC unit still broken, but it had been left completely unsecured, something we didn't discover until after we had driven in on the freeway multiple times and notice it shifted. Had it fallen, it could have caused a serious accident or killed someone. They also left exposed live wires in the cabin. Because we perform surgery in this van and carry oxygen onboard, this created a massive fire risk. It was more than just poor service -- it was negligence. Yes, we should have double-checked their work. But is it unreasonable to expect that when a vehicle is returned to us by a professional repair shop, it's at least safe to drive? When we went back to the shop to address our concerns, the owner, Chris, showed no remorse and inconvenienced by us declining further service. He didn't apologize or acknowledge the risks we had been exposed to. Instead, he was bothered that we no longer trusted them to continue the work. He made sure to charge us for the time they spent diagnosing the RV, despite delivering it in an unsafe condition and not completing any of the work we originally requested. We can overlook poor customer service. But we cannot overlook negligence, especially when lives are on the line. We strongly urge anyone, particularly those using their RVs for professional or medical purposes, to think twice before trusting this shop with your vehicle.

I had a great experience working with Duane at California Camper Repair…read more I originally brought my Winnebago in for body work related to what I thought was collision damage. During the process, Duane identified a structural issue that I don't believe a typical RV service center would have caught -- the passenger-side wall was separating from the floor near the entry door due to a missing bracket tying the wall to the chassis. He designed and fabricated a custom heavy-duty bracket to properly secure it. The repair completely resolved the issue and even reduced a significant amount of noise in the coach. Duane takes a true problem-solving approach and is willing to go beyond standard repairs to get things done right. That's hard to find. Once parts were available, the turnaround was quick, and I also appreciated the flexibility -- he allowed us to take the rig and use it after part of the work was completed while waiting on the remaining parts. That made a big difference for us. Overall, very happy with the work and would definitely recommend California Camper Repair, especially for more complex or hard-to-diagnose issues.

Repair and paint job look like new. Water heater works like new, my wife is very pleased. The inverter was a bigger problem, he checked and measured according to the manufacturers help line and eventually they determined that a tiny switch in the converter had been left in the wrong position. Charging works well now, just have to return it to have it load tested as I needed it for a couple of days. Dwayne was great to work with, knowledgeable and he likes to explain things as they were happening. The cost was a very pleasant surprise, it was much less than I expected for all the work that was done. I am very satisfied. He is now my new go to guy.
