I would not use this company as they are not very reputable. I spent almost $10,000 to get my RV repaired and have the top replaced. Two weeks into my journey I hit a rain storm in Nevada and my leak roof leaked. I took it back. They said they sealed it again. I went back out in another rain storm and it leaked again. I took it back. They said they fixed it again. I brought it home. I put it in storage for winter. I went to get it out of storage and the roof had leaked again and the interior of my RV was trashed. It cost me almost $5000 to fix the interior and and another $3000 to fix the roof again when I contacted bear, they agreed to reimburse me $1000 for the roof repair, after some talks we agreed to $1500 for the interior damages. Then I am told they will only reimburse a total of $1500. This was a total letdown and slap in his face. I would not recommend this company to anybody ever read more

The rear bed on my Sprinter stopped retracting, and he quickly identified the problem being related to a faulty switch and a faulty motor. He could have charged me more but he didn't. Our black tank valve/sealant broke completely, called a few places that only had appointments 2 weeks out. They are busy for good reason: I came to Bear Collision from a referral of my RV mechanic. I had some body damage due to renting out my RV so I was a bit upset. Michael Gomez here at Bear walked me through the insurance process and what to expect. He was dead on with how it all worked and kept me from going insane with the process. He repaired my RV back to new and you can't tell anything was ever wrong. The door that was torn off works perfectly with no weird sticking spots when you open or close like I would have expected. Seems like previous reviews are not real. I called them after reading all these previous reviews about good customer service and what not. I told them about my RV and what are the issues with it. I also send pictures of the RV which needs fixing so they can provide an easy estimate of the cost. This estimation was for me to understand how the pricing is of different fixes. It would have given me an insight on how much the expenses would be from my end in case insurance company doesnt agree to fix completely. Their replies are shocking. Sam and BEAR did a great job on repairing crash damage to an older RV, keeping the price reasonable. RV crashed nose into an overhang, bent aluminum frame loop, cracked fiberglass, broken wood interior paneling. Checked around for estimates (using a good set of photos) including RV shops in South San Francisco, Novato and Sacramento, got a wide range of estimates from $2000-$10000+ including corporate ("its totalled, we can't be liable for hidden damage, need to take the whole thing apart") and several flakes (if a shop is flakey on returning calls for an estimate, how hard will it be to get the work complete?). BEAR offered a good price, understood the job, explained how they would do it and the tradeoffs of fixing older and faded fiberglass. Work was done on schedule, solid, they even matched texture and fading. Nice people. read more

Not only are the folks at BEAR super-friendly and proactively honest about everything to do with managing a repair case, they do so whether you're having them do work with or without insurance coverage. (I initially thought I wouldn't need to file a claim, but changed my mind, so I experienced both mindsets while working things through with them.) Most importantly, they do nice work! The damaged area on my motorhome looks just like new. Steve, who managed my case, even voluntarily arranged (no prodding on my part) to pick up my RV at my house in Berkeley so I wouldn't have to use Uber during the pandemic or have a friend come down to Hayward to bring me back home (or drive me down there for pick-up). I have a 2012 Ford Mustang that i wanted to have stripes painted on. When i went to BEAR i knew I wanted Silver stripes. But the painter (Elton) showed me so many different shades of Silver paint samples that when I left the shop I was unsure of the shade I picked. He must have given me two books of little paint samples with just silver paint. It was extremely difficult to tell if the silver I chose from this tiny paint sample would look good on the whole car? So they taped off the car and were going to start painting on Monday. But they asked if I wanted to go down to the shop one more time before they painted my stripes so i could make my final decision on the shade of Silver. When I went back on Monday, Elton had some large pieces of metal painted Silver. So it was much easier to compare shades of Silver with the bigger paint samples. So I ended up going with a different shade of Silver. While I was there on Monday, I was looking at the car after they had taped it off. I originally told Elton that i wanted the two outside stripes to be an 1 1/2". But when I was looking at the car, I started thinking that an 1 1/2" were too wide. So I talked to Elton and told him what i thought about the stripes being too wide. So he asked what size I wanted? So after discussing it, I decided I wanted them to only be 1". So Elton had to redo the tape on the stripes. I felt bad that I didn't have a clue about what shade I wanted or that I told him the wrong size on the stripes. But Elton didn't make me feel rushed and he didn't seem irritated at the fact that i kept changing my mind. Everyone at this shop is very friendly including the people in the office. And they finished my car pretty quick. I was very pleased with the overall service of this shop. And I am so happy with the way the stripes came out, they look GREAT!!! read more

A rip off company. Asked them to work on my 56 F100 custom. They said ~2 months. A YEAR later they burned me for $9k. The work was good enough but If I had known that they would also lose parts (which I had to prove they had) in addition I could have bought a rolling chassis with all brakes ,suspension, rearend for the price of them doing some welding and paint stripping! I personally think they could rip me off for my custom by skyrocketing the cost. Paid the bastards and took my shit away. Go to Hell BEAR!! If they give you a done by date and you need it then then have them agree to a penalty e.g. per week because they are liars! Although the present owner probably didn't have it 6 yrs ago I'm still pissed, obviously. read more
