These guys were great. I called a few places and they refused to even look at my phone after I described my problem. One of them referred me to More Than a Fix. They give free estimates. They seem to work on the even the most difficult cases. They replaced the badly cracked bad cover and it fixed my issues. Didn't need more complicated internal repair. These guys seem to be honest, have most supplies on hand, and definitely appear to have the technical expertise. Also super friendly and helpful. read more

Fast response I was looking for someone to fix an antique light fixture that had some old, worn-out solder joints. It was a unique problem that needed professional eyes on it. Other companies dismissed me before even seeing a picture of it. When I'd brought it in, they gave me some options that I got to choose from. This is the place to go for all the "fixings". The guys are super nice, responsive and helpful. Quality of work is amazing and my iPad left in much better shape than when I brought it in. I shattered my screen and it looked brand new when I came to pick it up. Drop off and pickup super easy, they text you when it's ready, estimate wait time was about 2 days. The short of it. Amazing shop! Fixed my expensive graphics card in no time. The long of it. First, I reached out to these guys late on a Sunday night not expecting to hear back until at least Monday morning at the soonest which would have been more than fine. Nope, James responded right away that night, man, hopefully this post doesn't put them on the spot to always respond late like that but most of the other repair shops I reached out to still haven't responded and it's late Monday Afternoon as of this writing. So in the morning I drove down to San Clemente with a graphics card that had these microscopic bent fan header pins that I messed up. I walked in and James took the card out of my hands and sat down. He estimated $20 dollars for the repair and went to work and fixed it right then and there. It was done in no time plus he answered a ton of my questions. He was so pro I made him double the price! In 2022, to find a business who not only answers the phone when you call but who also delivers timely and reliable repairs is outright fascinating. We've used them to repair two iPhone screens and also a battery replacement in an iPad. I've also purchased a used iPhone from them. A little before 1am (yes, I'm a vampire), I reached out via the web for an iPhone repair quote to 3 different companies. #MoreThanAFix prompt responded saying it needed more information about my problem. At 10:30am, Guy from MTAF sent me a text following up on my request. I brought my iPhone in, Guy diagnosed the problem immediately. As well as an issue I was having with my other iPhone. He said the repairs would take about 1 1/2 hours. When I returned, both phone were fixed. He even had the Apple accessories I needed. Super reasonable prices, knowledgeable friendly personnel - one & done in less than 2 hours. Plus a discount! What more could one ask for? WOW. What a setup this company has. If you are hesitant to trust them with your phone or comp repair, just walk into their shop. they have EVERY tool to do the job right in there. I have an iphone 12pro and the back glass was cracked bad. top right corner had a full hole in it. they were SUPER quick to reply through Yelp messenger and followed up with me on any questions I had. the actual job is flawless. you would NEVER know i had it fixed. so not only is their workmanship SUPER good, they are SUPER friendly, SUPER knowledgable, and an all around great shop. You're in good hands here. dont hesitate and head on over. read more

Timely response to messages. My husband's charging port on his IPhone was acting up so we contacted this vendor. He responded quickly. He gave me prices and my husband went to his shop the next morning. Turns out the charging port needed some cleaning and not replacement. Only $10. These guys are my legit, go-to pros to fix any cell phone. In the past, they miraculously retrieved the photos and data from a bricked LG phone that another company here in San Clemente said was impossible. They had my computer for a week to diagnose a problem. They told me the issue was a faulty fan and the dust. I got it back, the problem was still there and they never took the front pannel off to clean the fans. I brought it back two more times and they weren't able to solve the issue. read more

More Than A Fix was founded in 2015 by Guy and James, two experienced technicians who had worked at other electronics repair shops before deciding to build something better. Frustrated by poor quality and lack of transparency in the industry, they set out to create a shop where integrity, expert workmanship, and fair pricing came first. Starting in a small suite with just the two of them, the business steadily grew through word of mouth. In 2019, they added their first technician, Monse, who became a key part of the team and officially joined as a business partner in 2024. Dishonest, Unprofessional, and a Complete Bait-and-Switch Experience…read more I don't usually write negative reviews, but my experience with Pros Phone Repair was so frustrating and dishonest that I feel the need to warn others. When my daughter and I first walked in, we were quoted what seemed like a fair and reasonable price to fix her phone. She had saved her own money and was so happy to finally get it repaired. The employee clearly stated the price multiple times, and we left feeling good about the decision. We dropped the phone off and came back later to pick it up. The repair was done, but when it came time to pay, the price was suddenly much higher than what we were quoted. There was no prior call, no explanation, and no attempt to honor the original quote. I immediately questioned it and asked to see the video footage of our initial visit -- with sound -- to verify whether the price had been my misunderstanding or theirs. I made it clear that if the video proved it was my mistake, I was more than willing to pay the difference. Instead, I was given an excuse that it "takes time" to access the video from their Ring camera system. Days passed, and despite me calling multiple times to follow up, no one ever returned my calls or provided the footage. It became obvious they had no intention of resolving the issue or being transparent. To make things worse, we later discovered that the phone's camera stopped working after their repair. I called again to try and address both problems -- the price discrepancy and the new camera issue -- but no one ever answered or got back to me. At this point, it's clear this business operates with zero accountability. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic: quote one price to get the customer in the door, then change it afterward and dodge responsibility when questioned. Adding to the concern, many of the so-called "positive" reviews for this store look suspiciously fake -- vague wording, no details, and profiles with no other review history. After my experience, it's easy to see why they might feel the need to pad their ratings. If you value honesty, integrity, and basic professionalism, stay far away from Pros Phone Repair. There are plenty of honest, reliable repair shops that stand behind their word -- this is not one of them.
