I was visiting a friend at their new house and we decided to order pizza. None of us were super familiar with the area but More Than Pizza was nearby. I'd had it once, some years ago, and suggested we order there. It was Saturday evening and they were listed as temporarily closed on DoorDash, so I checked their website and found you can order online for pick-up (with payment via Square). It was around 6.30pm and it said the order would be ready for pick-up at 8.05pm. Although it was a longer wait, their estimation was right on the money - my husband said they were packing up our order as he walked in the door. There's nothing worse than waiting a long time to find your order still isn't ready, so props on their timing. We got a large combination, a small cheese pizza, pizza bread, and 14 hot wings. The total was around $60. Everything was hot and fresh. They cut the large pizza into squares which is a nice change of pace. Good doughy crust, quite heavy on sauce and lots of stringy cheese. It has a good cheese pull. It's not my personal favorite but it's solid and a thousand times better than Me n Eds. The wings were the surprise hit - they're not crispy but there was a good amount of meat and skin on there and they were juicy and well seasoned. Each item comes with one choice of side dip in a generous sized container (I think 4oz?), and you can add another for 75c. We got a couple of ranch, blue cheese with the wings, and marinara with the cheese bread. It's a little far from home for me but we'll likely order here again when we're in the area. read more

So i'm still on a quest to find good pizza here in Fresno/Clovis and still no luck. My parents had a craving for some pizza today and thanks again to Yelp it let me down again. I decided to try More than pizza located at Clovis today, because of the ratings 4/5 and yummy looking pics on Yelp. So for almost $40.00 for 2 pizza's a Med combination with pineapples and a XL pepperoni wasn't worth it. So here is my break down for my disappointment visit at More Than Pizza in Clovis. 2/5 Med size combination pizza for almost $20.00 the veggies here is very skimpy and not cheesy like some yelpers mentioned. Their crust is similar like BHOP (boston house of pizza) which i didnt care for at all. 1/5 XL pepperoni pizza for being a "special" for $16.00 this was very disappointing because it was over cooked and so dry and i'm not a fan of the crust. Service 3/5 it was ok nothing over the top. Im not sure if it was a off day or something but today pizza is no where Yelpers describe "cheesy" it's "cheesy" alright for not tasting good and somewhat overpriced. I'll stick to my $10 pepperoni pizza at Costco and even Pacifica Pizza on Olive gives way more veggies for their combo pizza. So again my quest continue to find good pizza and it's no where to be found here at More Than Pizza in Clovis CA. read more

We really do love the taste of pizza here and I really hate to leave this review. I'm really disappointed with their online ordering. I ordered the extra large 1/2 pepperoni and other 1/2 pepperoni and FRESH mushrooms. First, I arrived 10min earlier than the pick up time and my pizza box is sitting on a open shelf rack. Needless to say my pizza was already colder than i wanted. Please update your business to include a warmer to hold pizzas for your customers. We come here pretty often. I would have to say hands down one of the best pizza I have ever had. I would recommend white sauce, it simply tastes better. I definitely prefer this place over any of the other branded pizza. They are inexpensive and they serve delicious and large portion pizza. They never disappoint us with the quality of the pizza, it's almost very addicting. I do prefer the west location over the Clovis because they have better service. The Clovis location took a while to give us our drinks, we got our pizza first and we had to remind them the beer and cup we never got. I love the fact that why also give a big bottle of ranch. The pizza also comes out piping hot with the cheese still melting. The crust is on the soft side and I think just perfect in my opinion. Apparently they raised their prices, for breadsticks, by A LOT. We have been going here for years. These past few months have been very inconsistent. We called our order in at 1623 and was told an hour for pick up. It wasn't ready until 1750. Sat in the car for an extra 30 minutes which normally I don't mind I just wish they had said they were late. When we got home, both orders of breadsticks were burnt... like badly burnt. We were staying in Fresno and looking for an Amazing Pizza Spot to Deliver. Didn't want to go to the old spots like Me n Eds and Mountain Mikes, so we started looking for something new. We both love the mom and pop eateries and wanted to see what Fresno or Clovis had to offer. It came to a point where I reached out to fellow Yelper, my CM "community Manager" and friend Nicola to see if she had a great spot in mind. In doing so I also noticed a review she had posted of this location, glad I reached out! Her review was awesome and she even messaged me about this spot as well as a few others I'd have to try out for next time! We ordered a large half pepperoni and half cheese. My wife likes her pizza cut in squares, granted only one place in our town "Visalia" does this and it's Boston Pizza. So when we noticed that some of the large pizzas here were cut like that we opted to ask them if they would do it for us too, they accommodated us no problem and did. Thank you More Than Pizza for doing that! The moment I opened the box and got the glorious smell of cheese, sauce and meat; I was in pizza heaven! It wasn't overly greasy, it had the right amount of cheese pull and it was so flavorful! Had I not eaten from another establishment earlier that day I would've completely devoured my half of this pizza! My wife put a great dent into it but sadly we couldn't take down this entire pizza in one sitting and we had some left overs for the next day. My father in law devoured it! Been coming here for over a year. Like their red sauce as it has a delicious flavor to it. Usually pick up here about once a month or so. They're always busy phone is usually constantly ringing, really every night of the week. There have been nights I'd call and could never get through. All that said, must mean they're doing something right. However tonight was unfortunate, what I ordered wasn't what I received and unfortunately didn't realize that until I got home. I understand they probably don't open the pizza to check due to COVID precautions and I understand. I was only offered to bring the pizza back down and they'd remake it. This is my go to neighborhood joint. I don't quite know where to begin. When you first walk in here you see how they wear their hearts on their sleeve . It is plastered with pics of local school team that they support. It is an self serve unassuming place. They have great beers on tap that they serve with a great iced mug. I have tried just about everything on their menu and there is nothing I don't like. The impressive thing about this place is how it is run as such a well oiled machine. I have been here over 20 times, have rarely seen anyone older working than mid 20s and they are extremely nice and well trained. I remember a few months back on a very busy Friday night with the line out the door when I picked up a wrong order. They offered to correct the pizza immediately and initially even refused payment but accept a fix $10 for a large 3 topping. If I owned a family pizza place, I would want it run just like this place. More than pizza, less than good. Longing for restaurant food after months of enforced cooking for myself, I decided I wanted pizza. Good pizza. Despite its mediocre ratings, I decided to order from this place. It was a truly disappointing experience that left me wishing I had just kept cooking for myself. I called and learned they were only working with DoorDash. That would normally be a deal killer, but I was desperate for restaurant food after so long without. So I reinstalled DD, only to find a super limited menu. Like three pizza offerings and a few others that accounted for the More than Pizza name (though plenty of pizza places offer wings and sandwiches). Planning to make a couple meals of it I ordered: - the xl chicken pizza - a small order of wings - a beef sandwich. The pizza was probably the worst pizza I've tried to eat. That's including school cafeteria pizza. The dough was thick enough to make the whole pizza taste doughy and undercooked. The sauce was overly sweet and under flavored. The chicken was bland and unseasoned. After a single piece, all I could do was look at the rest and mourn. In the end I left most of it uneaten, picked the chicken off, and fed them to my dogs, then tossed the rest. Then I tried the wings. They were at least edible, though they weren't crispy or saucy or anything much other than salty. It took me three days to eat the eight pieces. The sandwich was the best of the three, though only relative to the other two. It was basically a skimpy beef au-jus sandwich without the jus to choke it down with. Still, between sticking it in the air fryer and adding veg and condiments, I did get a light meal out of it. Bottom line: don't bother with this place, consider anywhere else. Dominoes would be a clearly better choice. read more
