Before you know it, it was time go to pick it up! Arrived and they were Very busy! Small wait, greeted by kind worker and let him know the of order, grabbed some crushed pepper packets to spice it up and received it with thanks! Lunchtime! 1 order is easily 2 meals or to share. Setup more for to-go/delivery, although there are a couple of tables inside and outside on the patio. Every time I come here, I've been welcomed with a smile. Lots of options on the menu, but I've stuck with the calzone (I think the best in town), Stromboli, or as of today the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I've enjoyed each entree every time. I ordered the Mediterranean pizza (a vegetarian option) and oh my goodness it was one the best pizzas I've ever had! The combination of the toppings created such a delicious flavor, the cheese and sauce were not disappointing and added great taste to the pizza as well. The crust was crispy on the bottom but soft in the inside. I would definitely come back many times just for this pizza alone. My boyfriend ordered the sausage sandwich and was not disappointed. They have a big menu with plenty of things to try and the customer service was very friendly. Our food was made promptly and delivered to our table kindly. We usually order from the Olive Ave location in the Tower district but I wanted to pick up on my way home so thought I'd try this Bullard/Palm location (NE corner) for pick up after leaving the office. I ordered online which was a breeze. When I arrived, I was shocked at how small it is inside! My co-worker always raved about picking up their delicious burgers on the way home and never mentioned how tiny it is in here! They have tables to eat in but I don't know why you would. Customer service was friendly. Anyway, my order was ready within minutes of my arrival. After I checked in, they got several people picking up orders to go. They are busy at this time! By the time I got home, combo pizza had slightly soggy crust. The wings and mozzarella sticks were really good. Probably next time, I'd stick with picking up from the tower location since it's closer to home. read more

I absolutely love this place and have been coming for at least 20 years. Mike and his team do such an amazing job on everything they put out! The baked pastrami has always been my favorite, but the calzones, the pizza, everything is top notch! I had moved to Nashville Tennessee for 14 years and every time I came back to visit I would stop here at least once for that nostalgic taste of home and memories growing up here. Tiny, funny place. Not bad funny, just quaint. Staff were helpful and fine. Food was ready on time. I was having a routine spaghetti craving I have yet to satisfy. That's right, the spaghetti was mid. The meat sauce wasn't very meaty, and I think it needed more salt or something. That said, I did love the roll it came with. Nice to break up into pieces and gave lots of variety of soft and crust bites. Three stars for the spaghetti. I tried a pizza slice and now that was good. The slice was huge, and luckily I had a knife in my car so that I could cut it to be manageable lol. Very nice NYC style and pretty good in that regard. Good amount of pizza for the price... but it really would be nice if they gave the option or just pre-cut it? I can't imagine eating this without two hands. Still, five stars. For almost two years, this has been our favorite pizza, a delicious pizza with fresh, high quality ingredients. Something had changed when we picked up a medium veggie pizza this past week... Ordering and service are still high quality, and with high quality ingredients, we expect high prices. A medium veggie pizza is now the price that a large one was a couple of years ago, and that would be okay, EXCEPT the cheese has changed and the sauce had a "canned" flavor, as if it had been in the can for too long. It's not fresh tomato season, so I get that, but the tomatoes were really not very good. I detached the tomato slice from the pizza slice. Good sauce and excellent cheese on a thick crust are what makes a pizza for me. The crust is still the high quality from past years. I'm hoping this was a one-time glitch, but I really missed the high quality from previous years. read more

Although Mama Mia has the best pizza in the Central Valley, this review highlights the necessity of hiring a professional cleaning service to address the restaurants unclean and unkept front section. There's so much dust and grime everywhere, it makes me worried about what the kitchen, where our food is being prepared, looks like. I am a FAN for sure. Just moved in the area and this is walking distance for me so I LOVE that. Ideal, take out Italian food. I have had the pizza and loved it (HUGE slices, $6, can't beat it) before but decided to branch out and try the pasta this time. I did rigatoni with spicy Alfredo sauce and was not dissatisfied at alllllll, no regrets. Huge portion, even just the single sized serving could easily feed two. The rolls are to die for and the perfect addition to the meal. Only took about 15 minutes to be prepared and ready for pick up. Busy, small place. They have a couple small tables inside but I feel like it's not the place to sit down, definitely a to go kind of place. Although they do have seats outside wouldn't mind eating there on a nice day. We picked up our order and drove home (west Fwy 99). The Stromboli was burned and not edible. We called to get refund but because we ordered on line through their "preferred app" Slice, the restaurant cannot refund our money. The manager said we could get a free one if we returned; we live far away and can't tonight; so next week they will let us order one at no charge. My advice is to call in your order and don't use a 3rd party. Also, open your order before leaving to be sure it's right & cooked properly. (A 2nd chance review will come next week) read more

This place is a dump. It looks like they haven't spent $.50 on it in over 30 years. There's dust on everything. Every surface is covered with junk. It's packed with ancient equipment and devices from a failing RadioShack in the 80s... The surroundings, equipment and fixtures cast a pall.. perhaps a small order of McDonald's fries from 1979 Lays scattered under some of the equipment...with other goodies? Not hard to imagine here! On the brighter side customer service is always pleasant. And the food is delicious. But $32 for a large pizza seems a bit pricey. Everybody can blame it on Covid these days..lol And the sausage is delicious I think they make it in the house it's got a wonderful spice to it.. they are connected to several pizza parlors--a large Italian family in the area. Glad to see they're doing so well but wish they'd put a little of those excessive dollars we're spending there in sprucing up the joint. Gut it and update everything or better yet, expand. It's a small location and could only benefit with a good cleaning, throwing out most of what's there, and upgrading their equipment.. Ordered the large Bianca pizza and garlic cheese bread tonight 09/30/23 Bianca pizza was as usually great. Garlic cheese bread was disappointing for its price. Barely a hint of garlic And the cheese seemed to stay afloat of the bread, not melted into it. If not for the wonderful taste of the bread itself it would have been a complete disaster. My favorite pizza place in town. Closest to real NY style that I've been able to find. It's a small place and a bit gritty, but this what I'm used to when it comes to pizza joints. People have always been friendly. Slices are huge and it's a great value. Sauce is a tad sweet but everyone has their preference. Fave location is the one on bullard and palm. The ppl are always friendly. They do not rush you when you are trying to order. They even explain what the dish is and everything. I love it.
