Stay away!!! This is the McDonalds of Cuban food! My wife and I were excited to celebrate Valentine's day with some Cuban cuisine but this experience fell short of short. I asked the server for his recommendation between the pork and the beef dish (21-22 on the menu) and he said "I like 21 better because 22, for me, is dry". Well, the only thing drier than the pork (21) is the Sahara desert. We also ordered an appetizer and it came out at the same time as the food. The server came out, asked how everything was and we had not really tried anything but a bite of the tostones and the boiled yuca. We said "fine" and asked for salt and the yuca didn't have any sort of seasoning. My dish was dry, my wife ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was not only dry, it also had no mustard (who makes a Cuban sandwich without mustard?!). It also had a big blob of fat in it (you can see it im the picture), DISGUSTING. Zero attention to detail. I walked in, grabbed the server and asked for the check. When he came to the table I told him about the food and he said "I asked you and you said it was fine" so I had to explain that we had had just one bite. I showed him the plates. Apparently he didn't care. No apology, offer to speak to a manager or to do anything to make it right. Horrible experience, terrible service and even worse food. Stay away. I do not recommend this place at all.

This place was chill and their Cuban food was amazing. Our server was Sofia. She was so sweet attentive even though she was super busy. I ordered the pulled pork Cuban sandwich. It was so savory. I was very satisfied with the food and the service. Please try it! And a alot of areas to take photos too!

If I could give half stars, I'd give 3.5. It wasn't bad but I wished the experience could be better! Hubby and I went on a Saturday the weekend of Art Basel, so it was definitely busy as expected. We even felt bad it's just 2 waiters for the entire restaurant, with one of them literally RUNNING from kitchen to table and back. I was afraid he'd trip with stuff in his hands and possibly injure himself and someone else. But all that chaos was understandable. What brought it down a couple stars is the food. Their namesake Cuban sandwich was not up to par, with the pulled pork cold and lacking flavor. The sauce it came with, on the other hand, saved the entire dish but it shouldn't rely on the sauce that's actually more for the maraquitas. The ropa vieja tacos were okay, meat also a little dry but at least it had more flavor than the pork inside the sandwich. The saving grace of this spot are the drinks. Unfortunately the names weren't memorable but they were delish! And I absolutely LOVED the ambiance and vibe. Felt like we were eating outside Tia's patio in the Gables, but next door to the Dorchester to remind us we're actually in Miami Beach. Lastly, I did see before we sat down that one of the waiters was clearing out our table. He grabbed a napkin and it fell on the floor, but he immediately picked it up... and I saw him wipe our table with the napkin that touched the floor. I won't be a super strict stickler because let's be real, even in other restaurants, they use the same rags dirtied from table to table so it's almost about the same. But it's worth mentioning because if this restaurant wants to be known for quality, it needs to reflect it. Big hugs to those waiters though. Running and wiping with dirty napkins, you could imagine the immense pressure they were in to cloud their judgment. I hope they got more help on the floor later that day!

We had a really great experience at Morenos on our vacation. The atmosphere is fun and Cuban, and the waiter we had was nice and attentive. We tried a cuban sandwich and tostones pork that our waiter recommended. The cuban sandwich was perfectly filled with cheese, ham, and pickles. Easily better than another local chain we've tried. The tostones were surprisingly good and we were happy we tried them. We'd happily come back and would recommend it to people looking for some quality Cuban food!

First night in Miami Beach and wanted some yummy Cuban food without all the touristy hoopla. Moreno's is on the quieter end of Collins Ave and it was quiet in the restaurant. The empanadas were a pleasant surprise because they were made with more of a flaky pastry crust vs the thicker traditional crust. They also had plantains, picadillo, and excellent aioli. The only thing I don't recommend is the taco appetizer. The corn tortillas weren't that yummy and they were a bit boring. Everything else was delicious.

Loved this spot on Collins it's kind of hidden ... there food Omgish so good it just got better and better. For sure get the sampler appetizer so you can taste everything. A little pricey menu doesn't reflect prices. But would recommend when down on south beach nice service and he was the only waiter serving all the tables so they could have used some help

Finding parking in South Beach is always an "aventura", and Moreno's Cuba is no exception. They offer valet for $10 an hour, but I decided to cruise around a bit and ended up parking at Collins Ave & 13th Street, where about $8 covered four hours--"una ganga" compared to valet. Municipal parking is limited, but arriving on a Sunday around 5:00 PM, with plenty of time before our 6:00 PM meet-up, worked perfectly. Just remember to follow the posted signs (head-in only, max four hours) unless you want to risk a ticket... or being towed! Moreno's Cuba sits right beside a hotel, and they share the restroom facilities. One big plus: it's pet friendly. I brought my chihuahua, who was quietly sitting next to me--until our fantastic Dominican waiter showed up, and suddenly Jazzy decided to assert her territory. Down to the floor she went, where she quietly stayed during dinner! We were a group of 6 hosting friends visiting from outside the U.S. Normally, for Cuban food, I'd head to Little Havana--not South Beach. But they picked the spot, and honestly, Moreno's surprised me. Our table ordered ropa vieja, vaca frita, and I went with the Cuban ceviche served with plantain chips. With Cuban roots myself, I had never heard of Cuban ceviche, so my curiosity won. The fish chunks were generous, the flavor bright and tangy, and the salty plantain chips tied everything together beautifully. Two of our guests had never tried Cuban cuisine--one ordered vaca frita and the other ropa vieja. When I asked which they preferred, they couldn't make up their minds; both plates were spotless by the end. That said it all. Portions were solid--not as hefty as Little Havana, but more generous than the tiny touristy servings you usually get in South Beach. I ordered a freshly squeezed lemonade, refreshing and perfect for a late Sunday afternoon. For dessert, I treated myself to arroz con leche that tasted like pure nostalgia--sprinkled with cinnamon and topped with cinnamon sticks, just like my Mima used to make. The rest of the group had coconut flan and loved it. Prices were reasonable for the Beach, and both the service and the food were on point. My only downside of the night: the little water container for my dog fell and cracked in half. Objects can be replaced; memorable experiences cannot. With the fall finally blessing South Florida, I can see myself returning to Moreno's Cuba.

I tried this place while I was in Miami. I will say the Cuban sandwich was excellent. The atmosphere is very casual but also very Cuba like. Definitely a cool place and great place for a Cuban sandwich and plantains! Service was very fast and super friendly.

Great food. Authentic decor. Sophia was a friendly and efficient server. We enjoyed everything from appetizers to entrees. I got the Abuela Chicken. It was very tasty. Husband got the fish and enjoyed it as well. Delicious plaintains as side. Yum.

Walked up to Moreno's Cuba and it looked interesting...but it was relatively empty at 7:30 pm on a Thursday night in May. I was thinking - I was tricked...this is bad...or this place is great, I'm so lucky. Thankfully, it was AWESOME. Jorge greeted me and took us to our table in a kitschy place that was ultimately comfortable with great lighting. Mojito was great - check. Empanadas - flaky as expected. Check. The Lechon with black beans, rice and sweet plantains - amazing. Flan with whipped cream - tip top. If you're in Miami Beach and do not come here for a meal - you're missing out on so many ways. read more

Visiting Miami while on a work trip. The reviews on this restaurant are mis leading. Wanted some authentic Cuban and Miami would be the perfect place for this. Sadly to say my food was not good. I order the rope vieja. It had not flavor and it was served room temperature. The rice was old and hard. Did not enjoy. Also our waiter was not attentive we had to wait several times for things we needed and it was not busy when we went. The ambiance is nice but it's not worth it for what they are charging. Wil not return. read more

MUST stop when in Miami. Morenos transports you instantly to Cuba. Half indoor and outdoor space makes you feel like you're on vacation. Fun lights and decor everywhere with bright colors and super friendly staff. Their food is top notch so everything you get will be delicious. I always opt for the sampler plate so I get a little bit of everything. Their ceviche, fried potatoes, Cubano sandwich and any other daily specials. 10/10 recommend! read more

Every time I travel to Miami(usually to get to the cruise ports) this is a must visit place every single time! I have had traditional Cuban food at so many different restaurants but Moreno's goes above an beyond when it comes to quality. My wife and I always get the Cuban sampler which comes which all the Cuban favorites including ceviche and a Cuban sandwich! Just a heads up, this place is somewhat hidden behind a hotel on a small alley way but worth the hunt!! read more

Hubby and I ate here for lunch one day while in South Beach for a wedding anniversary. We loved the decor and the service was A1. The food and drinks (we had the Mojito & Sangria) were both delicious! I could have eaten another order of the Maduritas and the tostones habaneros (I had the Cuban sampler) it was so good. Our experience at Moreno's was excellent. I couldn't believe there weren't more people in the restaurant. I had a great Cuban sandwich and the wait staff was very nice. It felt very authentic, with lots of interesting decor that made us feel very at home. I know some people are upset about the additional charge for using a credit card or service fee...have you eaten in Miami before, LOL? Those things are not out of the ordinary and not a reason to take a dig at the restaurant. Food, service, and ambiance were good - just bring some cash and you'll be fine. This friendly staff deserves that extra tip anyway! read more

Good place for decent Cuban food close to the beach. The place is at the bottom of the Dorchester. It is decorated like you'd imagine a Havana cooperative restaurant. Lots of furniture and home items from the 1950s, mis matched chairs, old school Chevy in the front. We ate indoors (good choice, as it started raining soon after we ordered). The air conditioning was very strong, which my husband appreciated, but my kids complained that they were cold. They have some great cocktails. I had a Cuban Cigar and also a white sangria, and both were strong and tasty. My husband had a golden mojita and a strawberry mojito, and he enjoyed both. Our friend had a golden mojita and a Cuban Cigar. I had the lechon asado. I like that rice and beans come with all the entrees and then you also get a choice of platanos, yuca, or salad. My lechon was well seasoned, but I found most pieces to be dry. The beans were heavier on the cumin than I prefer, but adding some hot sauce (they use Tabasco -- fancy) helped balance things. My son enjoyed his vaca frita. My daughter got the shrimp, and she thought they were too fishy. I thought they were okay, but not the best. My husband got a Cuban sandwich, and he enjoyed it. Our friend had a great time eating here and threatened to return for all remaining meals during his stay in South Beach. Service was very pleasant but a little slow. read more

Came in for some excellent Cuban food; three of us so we each got to try a beef dish, chicken dish and of course the pork Lechon Asado. Sweet plantains were amazing but the garlicky sauce that came on the yucca was addictive. Jorge took excellent care of us, helped packing us a to-go order and giving excellent recommendations on everything. The cocktails Jorge recommended for each of us were perfect. read more

We came for the beautiful, quaint atmosphere. The patio/backyard setting is so festive. Even the inside is really uniquely decorated. The food and drinks were just OK and highly overpriced. Even though I didn't enjoy my drink at all, I would recommend coming for just drinks and maybe apps to enjoy the lively setting on a nice day. You can certainly get better Cuban food elsewhere in Miami. read more

Got here about 30 minutes before the kitchen closed. Ordered a Cuban sandwich with sweet potatoes fries. Delicious! The bread soft and fluffy. The pulled pork was moist and flavorful. The sweet potatoes fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very cool patio seating area outside. Cool vibes. read more

We had a wonderful time eating and having cocktails at Moreno's Cuba! I had ceviche and Amiga Frida cocktails and a mojito. We also shared the flan. My friends had the Cuban sandwich and an order of rice and beans with shrimp. So tasty. Our server, Omar, is pure sunshine! He was so good and we loved him. Really made the experience amazing! Cute Cuban little eatery Oh hello Miami! Check in through Yelp and get 15% off your meal. Located in South beaches! Walked in and seated right away but service was slow. Lots to choose from on the menu, and when visiting Miami it's a must to get a cuban sandwich. We ordered the ceviche as an appetizer but they ran out of chips. And my friend ordered the lechon asado which was dry. My sandwich was good! I can't compare to anything accept Portos in So cal but this trumped my experience in Los Angeles of courses. I felt the restaurant can work on customer service. Idk just because we were Asian we were served slower than others but who knows. read more

What an adorable place! Looks like you're in gramma's house in Cuba! Very nice outside courtyard but it was raining! Prices were pretty normal for south beach. Food quality was excellent! Tucked away in a courtyard next to a hotel, Moreno's Cuba is a gem of a restaurant with an international cafe feel. A+ atmosphere and aesthetic. Worth the wait to sit outside! I visited Morenos for a quick dinner by myself on a Thursday evening. The place is tucked behind a hotel, but not too hard to find. I was probably only here for about 30 minutes from ordering to eating and paying my check. Everything was very speedy. I ordered the ropa vieja and the meat wasn't tough, but I could have used just a tad more seasoning. PreCovid times I can imagine salt and pepper would have been on the table, but that wasn't the case now. I did not ask for salt (disclaimer--I'm heavy handed in the salt typically). The service was speedy and friendly. A good authentic Cuban experience. read more

We loved the ambiance--sitting outside listening to music. Our server, Jorge, was excellent. There to advise when we asked questions. I had Sangria and then Mom's Ropa Vieja with rice, beans and plantains. My husband had shrimp on garlic, parsley and olive oil and both were delicious. We wanted to experience a Latino vibe and that's what we got. There's even a 57 Chevy parked there to add to the ambiance! We'll be back the next time we're in Miami Beach. read more

The only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the servers are trying to work with what they have in this establishment. Ordered empanadas as an appetizer & they're out. Ordered a Mojito & our server is also the bartender so had to wait a long time to enjoy it. Ordered a Cuban sandwich & returned it because there was way more bread than meat. Didn't even have a slice of ham on the other half of the sandwich. Forgot to take a picture of it because I was so angry and this failed attempt at a Cuban sandwich. They "fixed the sandwich" however the bread feels stale. Waiting on mayo & mustard now- it has been 10 mins while waiting on condiments. Beyond disappointing. Ropa viejo along with rice/beans was good. Salad is not even worth serving, see photo. Again, waiters & waitresses are really trying but kitchen is falling way short. read more

The colors, the greenery and the feeling of otherworldliness is one of the reasons that people come to Moreno's. It's sense of belonging elsewhere is a key characteristic that makes this a fairly newly formed landmark in Miami. A lot of places serve good Cuban food, but few are able to provide a feeling of an alley in Havana. Yet, it does feel a bit like Disney land during certain moments. There is Cuban style beer, there is the juicy and flaky lechon and cheese empanada, there is ropa vieja on the table. The ropa vieja was unfortunately pretty dry and likely a shortcut in the cooking time was taken to soften up this rough cut of beef. The beans were meh. The empanada stood out deliciously. Moreno's salad should not even be on the menu. The tomatoes must have been picked so far before ripening, that the taste was reminiscent of eating a mushy water soaked roll of paper. The cabbage wasn't particularly fresh either, but decent. With all of that, Moreno's came out as a strange mix of a very cool atmosphere, pleasant people and a general disappointment on the food front, despite some exceptions. Moreno's is a place to come for a great drink, a cigar, some coffee and perhaps, an empanada. It will be an enjoyable experience in a neat atmosphere, just remember to skip the rest of the menu. read more

The ambiance is nice, especially on the outdoor patio in good weather. The service was inconsistent, where the person who initially sat us with menus and took our drink order was friendly and attentive. But I guess his shift ended - we saw him walking away with a backpack out towards Collins. The server who took over our table was very inattentive, and acted as if he really didn't want to be there. The worst part of our visit was the food. It's pretty mediocre as far as Cuban food goes, and the portions are small. The roast pork was somewhat bland and dry. Sides were subpar. I came to realize that all the good reviews of this place were from tourists who have never had real Cuban food before. My advice for anyone staying in South Beach looking for good Cuban food is to head southwest over to little Havana. Trust me, there isn't any good, authentic Cuban food in South Beach. Whenever I visit South Beach, we seem to find a way to get to Moreno's Cuba. They've been consistently good to us.. Ambiance and Service: There's indoor and outdoor seating in their patio/courtyard. The Cuban inspired decor throughout the dining area makes for some cool social media opportunities. Our server was very friendly and attentive to us. She kept the drinks coming and the waters were always fresh. There was some live music with an acoustic guitar and some singers which provided nice background music. Moreno's Cuban: This is not your traditional Cubano sandwich but it was still tasty. The bread was sourdough but the pork was moist and delish. The fresh plaintains were the perfect compliment to this contemporary Cubano Empanadas: These were delicious and packed with flavor! This was a great appetizer and highly recommended. This was my first dinner experience at Moreno's Cuba and they came through like they have during all my lunch visits. I was so happy to see that they were still open during this Covid-19 period. History

Established in 2013.

Moreno's Cuba officially opened in October 2013. We began modestly by offering delicious Cuban coffee and Pastellitos - Cuban flaky pastries filled with guava marmalade and cream cheese. After seeing growing excitement of our patrons, who simply adored our ambiance, vibe and music, we decided to open a full kitchen, expand the menu to include classic Cuban breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes, as well as a full bar featuring our signature mojitos. We were extremely excited when New York Post voted Moreno's Cuba Classic Mojito one of the top ten in Miami. We feel that Moreno's is always in the process of transforming and improving. Due to the feedback from our guests we changed our location to provide our patrons with more comfort and space, as well as an indoor dining option. We reopened at the Dorchester Hotel, just around the corner from our original space, in July 2017. We welcome any suggestions, which can make the experience of dining with us even more amazing and memorable.

First off let me begin to say how much i enjoyed Morenos Cafe, felt like i basically visited Cuba!! I came here at least everyday to experience breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Although it was pricey (which i expected in south beach) the staff and quality of food made the stay absolutely worth it. The cuban sampler was the smartest choice since i was able to sample different appetizer, the employee Jose highly recommended the Ceviche and suggested I add the tabanero sauce on top. It became my starter everytime i went to eat. The Ropa Vieja with platanos maduro and fries was like eating back at my grandmothers house. As for the customer service, after staying for 3 days, i seen Jose working almost everyday either setting up some event, running back and forth doing almost everything. I even seen him hop onto the bar for happy hour and still serve me and my lady friends. As i paid for my tab i gave him $25 tip and said "i know you're not supposed to tip managers but here you go" and he laughed pretty loud and followed it with a "i appreciate it but im not a manager, does that mean i get more money" and winked at me!! Jose is beyond exceptional and honestly even if the food sucked and the hotel was atrocious i would've still enjoyed it just because i knew i was gonna get excellent service not because he HAD too but because he genuinely enjoyed making people smile. We came to this place as it was recommended by some friends whom are staying at the Riviera hotel for Basel. Almost as soon as we walked in it started pouring as if someone dumped the bucket on us. Since the restaurant is located in the courtyard of the hotel and the seating is mainly outside, rain cause chaos. Everything was getting soaked. This sounds like a perfect recipe for disaster, however it was the exact opposite. We had an AMAZING time. Staff was extremely attentive and was trying their best to make sure we were fine. They gave us towels, kept making jokes and trying to make us laugh against all odds. I felt that they really cared. Since we were trapped, we got a chance to try few appetizers and one entree each. My personal favorite was empanada sampler with chicken and spinach and feta empanadas which came with 2 different sauces. I also liked avocado and tomato salad with grilled Mahi. Fish was amazing - seasoned and cooked to perfection. I kept wondering how they managed to deliver my food dry and intact. We also ordered pitcher of Mojito, which is a good deal. Mojitos were great. We were told by our server that the secret is that they are made with love lol I need to add that the bar is beautiful. I love the design concept. Thank you Jose, Jorge and Gabriel for making this night memorable. We will be back to see you again. read more

I had my birthday party here in May and I cannot say enough good things about this place!!! If you're wondering why it's taken me so long to write this, well it's cause I'm not a yelper, but today I came back for a tomato and avocado salad (love!!!) and I realized I just had to say something. This place is one of Miami's best kept secrets, tucked behind the Rivera Hotel. Live music every night, the staff is friendly and if you catch Jorge on his guitar, well you're in for a real treat. He can sing anything off the cuff, and he takes requests! Pedro the concierge of the Riviera hotel was also very friendly and welcoming, and made sure I had my every need taken care of, even though I wasn't even staying there. This is a great place for the local crowd, it really feels like home here, just make sure it's not raining, or bring a raincoat. Twice I've been here in the rain, and well being an outdoor bar it was probably one of the most fun times I've ever had in Miami. Get prepared to have a garbage bag thrown at you so you can stay somewhat dry! LOL. Everyone makes room for each other huddled under the roof of the bar so you actually don't need to worry, more rain just means more rounds of drinks with more instant friends! Great experience, great food, and very friendly staff. I highly recommend it. read more

As an experienced foodie, with a goal to discover gastronomy from every culture, and not having tried cuban cuisine in the 3 years i lived in Miami ( the blasphemy! I know! ), I had to look for the perfect place to correct this mistake. And I must abide that Morenos does the most brilliant job at introducing this savory asset to my precious collection of multicultural tastes . Indeed when it comes to Cuban, Morenos does it as good as your Uncle Carlos, at Sunday family bbq on a Havana beach, but with the elegance that comes with experienced refined cooking. So i had the pleasure to test this expertise in an epicurean and cozy atmosphere, right at the line hipster-y if it wasn't for its authentic hospitality and decor. The service was impeccable. David, a charming and helpful waiter, help me pick out a dish, despite my dietary restrictions, he pointed out the perfect one : the Mahi-Mahi . A fish with a great F (or M depends how you see it) . No wonder he was smiling so bright when he brought me the plate! A dish crafted with care for design and a perfect balance of aroma and spices , just love from the first to last bite. A must try at an affordable price! Needless to say that I will come back to Morenos whenever I crave a little piece of authentic Cuba having to go there! A must try! read more

One of the best places to eat in Miami! This place is awesome, the servers are super nice and the atmosphere is very welcoming plus the decor is very unique and in good taste. To my absolute surprise, I had the pleasure to have met the owner, Jorge Moreno, whose music has meant alot to me through the years. He was incredibly down to earth and friendly which is very admirable considering his many accomplishments in the music industry. Its also important to note he really seems to care about the customers and is very personable and welcoming.The food is simply AMAZING, really well made/well thought out Cuba inspired food with a Miami flair. Every dish I ordered was brought in a very timely manner and was was very very good. The guava cheesecake is soooo goood! The drinks are great too, I recommend "Despeartare" which is a exotic fruit fusion drink with a refined pesentation. This place is a gem, there simply isn't another place like it near south beach. If you haven't been here yet or even if you have or have simply thought about it... You should! You won't be dissappointed! read more

This is Cuban done Miami style -- that means with glitz, bright color, and ultra-chic decor. Young Cuban-Americans and trendy folks of all colors, creeds, and ages make this restaurant a must. If you want to dine on Cuban specialties in relative peace with a beautiful atmosphere this is the place to go. The beans and rice and Abuela Fina's churrasco is flavorful as is the paella. The Cuba Sampler was a great way to get a bit of your favorite appetizers. The Mojitos ARE A MUST ESPECIALLY THE STRAWBERRY. As befitting a place owned by Jorge Moreno the prices are about the same as many other Cuban eateries, but the party crowd says the ambiance and hip clientele are worth every penny. We had the pleasure of Mr. Moreno's company as when asked if we could meet him, he amorously came to our table. I LOVE THIS PLACE AND WILL RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE AND I WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING. read more

Amazing place in pretty much the heart of south beach but hidden in the doorchester hotel The Cuban vibe is amazing and the food is nothing less than outstanding Me and my girlfriend came out for my bday October 8th and we are here again for my gfs bday weekend for October 15 and we can honestly say the ambient atmosphere combined with the music food and staff and all the Cuban memorabilia is something no one ever wants to miss out on I highly recommend this spot to anyone I care about and know I actually recommend this to anyone out there to come and visit this nice spot! 5 stars on food taste and service!! read more

Santiago and his staff did an amazing job putting together a private event for my husband's 50th birthday! Trays of Mojito's and yummy appetizers being passed around with the backdrop sounds of LIVE salsa music! A family-style dinner table set just like grandma would do it was lined with the best offerings from the menu. The ambience was perfect with dimly lit strings lights and warm candles. The service was on point and attentive and the food was delicious. I HIGHLY recommend this place for dinner and even more so for private events. The reason it's not 5 stars is the waitress Elizabeth. If it wasn't for my good friend and bartender Santiano I would've blasted her name and this place to my social media followers for the terrible service she provided. She's lucky Santiano is a great person. Great food, great environment, avoid Elizabeth at all cost. She thinks she owns the place. She rudely came up to me and told me to leave cause I was finished eating and working on my laptop even though I was here a couple days ago while THE OWNER and his wife was there doing the exact same thing. Wow! What a place! we were looking for a nice place to go out to eat something yummy and to show to my boyfriend's brother a little of Miami since it was his first time here so we choice cuban cuisine and we all loved it! Plus to our surprise they also had live music which is rare to find in south beach. the food was very good, we had tomato avocado salad with mahi-mahi, spinach empanadas, chicken quesadilla with amazing house sauce which i could just eat plain! the ambiance was so nice and cozy, lovely live music, food, drinks and we just didn't want to leave. I think most of the pics are from their old location. The food was pretty good, but the menu was much more limited than it appears here (and in fact it says "limited menu" on it?). The pineapple mojito was good but very sweet and didnt seem to have much alcohol. The new location is in a weird hotel parking lot type space and it detracts from what could be a cozy atmosphere. Also the service is insanely slow. We were the only people in the place by the end and ourbwaiter disappeared for like 40 minutes. Tl;dr: go here if youre staying in the hotel or want a relaxing drink. read more

One of my favorite authentic Cuban spots in South Beach, the ambiance is always on point, Jorge the owner is always soo hospitable. It's great for an intimate dinner, birthday party or large group, you will always have a great experience! The food is a must try, it's like You stepped into Cuba, the empanadas made fresh daily. They have live music and if it rains as it does in miami am the time no fear, they have a large inside dining area. Relocated on Collins Ave, a must stop on your miami adventure! Best Cuban food in Miami Beach by far! The Pan con Lechon is ridiculous. Get it with French fries, ask for it to go and walk 2 short blocks to have the best lunch on the beach. For dinner it's fantastic too, you can hear live music every night by the coolest bands and enjoy creative and unique cocktails. My Favorite is the Cactus Colada made with fresh squeezed orange and pineapple juice, cream of coconut, midori and best for last, Don Julio ! If you want something that is not your every day restaurant, EAT HERE! It is a Cuban restaurant with a great ambiance and great food to match. My partner and I order two entrees and shared: pollo de rosisserie and ceviche cubano. Both meals were great! The chicken was moist and the seasoning was on point. I am normally hesitant with ceviche, but after my partner's encouragement I was hooked. I definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great time with the live bands and a great meal. Oh and try the sangria!---to die for! read more

This is a great place for a quick meal and entertainment as well. If you go from 7-10, you will find live music offered by the restaurant. The bartender Gabriel was awesome. He was attentive and offered lively conversation. I had the ropa vieja; which is by far the best entree they offer. The meat was tender and juicy and the sauce was to die for. For dessert, I ate the guava cheesecake! My mouth is drooling talking about it. Love this place and I loved the vibe. The entire restaurant is outside; which is great so you can enjoy the weather. read more

GREAT FOOD AND FANTASTIC SERVICE Our server Claysha (the kindest I've ever met in Miami) was very welcoming and attentative. There was so much to choose from on the menu so we went with her reccomendations. Our food came out in no time and we were amazed by the generous portions. We enjoyed The Pancake Burritos and the Cuban French Toast was delightful! Throughout our meal our coffee cups were never empty and our server always approached our table with a friendly smile. Best Cuban food I had in years . I'm shocked that this is not the number one Cuban restaurant on south beach. I ate a pan con Lechon , can you say delicious !? The atmosphere is great with friendly staff that I met throughout the whole day. Ronald and Rick cracked me up in the afternoon when I went to grab some lunch and at 7 (when happy hour starts with live music) met three beautiful girls named jasmin, Amanda and Estefania that were great help on deciding what too eat. Went here for dinner with a big group for a bachelorette party. The owner brought us shots (they were delicious) while we looked over the menu. The drinks were delicious--we had the red sangria and the mango mojitos--which were amazing. We had the best waitress. She was so nice and helpful. I'm vegan and I ordered the avocado tomato salad with a side of rice and beans. Everything was delicious. Especially the plantain chips! After visiting Miami for holydays we must write about these magnificent experience we had at Moreno's , these is a small restaurant with amazing staff our server was Alexandra a very nice and professional waitress that recommend different items from the menu, we had never ate Cuban food so these help a lot!! We get lechon asado and the churasco, was beyond expectations, she recommend the guava cheesecake as well and we love it, next time any body goes to south beach please don't forget to visit these place. read more
