My HOA entered into a seasonal snow removal contract this year with Morfin. Our terms specify that we upgraded to "zero tolerance", meaning we paid $1725 up front for them to come as often as required, regardless of snowfall or accumulation. If we receive even a 1/4 inch, they are supposed to come and clear it. I'll add that we also upgraded to pet-friendly snow/ice melt, but that seems moot at this point because they have not shown up for a single snow/ice event this entire season. Have placed several calls to the owner (Jacqueline), and she continues to apologize and offer assurances, but they have not been to our property. Today we have had several inches of accumulation and they are nowhere to be found. Left a vm and no response. Strongly recommend against using them for snow/ice removal. Total SCAM. read more

Used Morfin for a move-out clean recently when turning my condo over for some new tenants. Was a little disappointed in the job the attendant did (or didn't do) but after I sent a few pictures to my contact Jackie she without question scheduled another tenant to come out and finish the job a day later. The second attendant that came out did a much better and after she left I felt the place was move-out clean appropriate. Even though both attendants were late, I'd say between the $180 price tag and thei overall attentiveness when i was unsatisfied, I'll probably give Morfin another call if I have similar needs in the future. read more

What an awful experience we had with Morfin. As a company that claims to pride themselves on customer satisfaction, we could not be more dissatisfied. We hired them for a residential cleaning at an empty home, specifically asking for a deep cleaning of the property. They assured this was possible and quoted me 8 hours of cleaning at $45/hr. (Please note, this was actually 2 cleaners for 4 hours, at $90 per hour, which you have to pay upfront.) The cleaners arrived on time and were polite, but were ill-equipped for a deep cleaning, having no tools other than a stick vac and a backpack of basic cleaning supplies. At the end of 4 hours they told me they needed another hour to clean (again, a vacant property - no furniture to move or clean around, few surfaces to dust, etc), so I paid another $90 for a total of $450 for two cleaners for 5 hours. For $450, there should not be dirt anywhere, floors should be swept, cabinets dusted, and carpets vacuumed. None of these basic services were done: cabinets were filthy, baseboards dusty, and floors covered in dirt. When I reached out to provide feedback and sent photos, they offered to refund one hour of cleaning only, and then sent me $45, which according to their formula, should have been $90. They insulted me by asking if I understood the basic math, and then stopped responding altogether. They did not deliver on their advertised promises, were absolutely NOT worth the money spent, and they have not properly equipped their employees to deliver on the promises their company has made. It was an all around awful experience and I absolutely do NOT recommend them. There are many, many cleaning services available in Chicago. Don't waste your time or money on this one. read more

First couple experiences with them were good. They cleaned decently, charged a reasonable price, and mostly show up on time. We then hired them to do two move out/move in cleans (one for our new home and one for the apartment we were leaving. They did a fairly good job on our new home with move in cleaning, including deep cleaning appliances. For our move out, they were almost an hour late before I had to call them (no call from them), only to be told that the cleaners were running late. I told them we had some time, if they needed they could clean the following morning. We moved it to the next morning--however, again, by an hour past the expected time the cleaner still had not shown (again, I had to call). Finally came and started cleaning about 3:30 that afternoon (over 24 hours past the orignal scheduled clean). She did an OK job but not great- we were still charged a cleaning fee by our landlord, which is frustrating when you PAY someone to professionally clean. Decided to give them another chance though-- scheduled them to clean our new home a few weeks ago at 8am. No one had showed up at 20 minutes past the scheduled cleaning time, and I had no contact from management, despite contacting them myself. We had to leave and lock up the house as we both had to go to work, so we couldn't have the house cleaned. Received a phone call from the manager (Jaqueline) almost an hour past when the cleaners were supposed to show stating that "they were running late from cleaning a previous house". One last time, we rescheduled for the following week. They showed up on time, which was nice- however, they left after two hours and didn't clean our bathrooms. Contacted management again to have them come back and fix their mistake. My husband had to instruct the lady two more times to please clean our bathrooms before she was finally done. To top it off, they overcharged us for the clean, and then still overcharged us after I emailed the manager to request a correction. By the point, it wasn't worth arguing even more with them so I decided to drop it. However, we will not be using them again. I would give them one star, but there were a few ladies in there for a few cleans that did a good job for a good price. Not sure what happened lately with the communication between management and staff, but I will not use them again. read more

Update....they have liability insurance for slip, trip and falls...NOT if they ruin something. We were contacted by their insurance company, who indicated that most cleaners are not insured for breaking things. After the claim was denied, we never heard back from this company for restitution. Morfin Cleaning, and Norma Vera in particular, did a wonderful job of cleaning our apartment. We recently moved into a much larger place and had let things slide a bit, especially in the master bathroom. One visit from Norma and everything is shining again. She even took the time to clean out the grates on our air vents! Beds were made, every surface was cleaned, and she clearly paid attention to detail. I've been able to book with Morfin on reasonably short notice before, so, while not guaranteed, they are definitely able to accommodate quick requests. Needed a deep clean to move into a new condo. There was literally nothing inside, no furniture, nothing in the drawers and cabinets, and no need to vacuum because we are having the carpet replaced. Walked in and I saw dusts in the vents, drawers that still have dust and stuff in them, not cleaned. Walls that still has smudges and finger prints on them. Very disappointed. The only thing that actually looked like it got clean was the inside of the oven. Again, we had nothing in the apartment. Nothing in the drawers. Nothing in the Fridge. It should have been a semi easy clean. I now have to clean and DUST more this week while I should be packing and actually getting ready for the move. I picked this company based off the yelp reviews. If I could give 0 stars I would. I took the morning off work to allow the cleaners to come to my apartment. Sandra arrived over a half hour late for the appointment, which was the start of a terrible cleaning. She broke my new vacuum cleaner which was more expensive than the cost of a 4-hour deep cleaning. On top of that the hardwood floors are still dusty and the carpet was not cleaned at all. This cleaner did not touch the blinds or any of the corners. She could not be bothered to sweep the carpets or under the furniture. She didn't bother to clean the vanity mirrors in the bathroom or the dresser mirror. This certainly is not worth the cost of a deep cleaning and 4 hours out of my week. Please, please, please, please do not use this company. I called Morfin Monday and Jackie did return my request quickly. She even had a team ready to come at 9am on Thursday. (They arrived at 9:10). I wonder though if they threw a team together that wasn't their best. Don't get me wrong...they seemed to be working their tails off when I was here. They cleaned the oven, the shower and bathtub, the toilet and vacuumed...The main thing I wanted was to come home to clean, dust free floors. I took pictures when I came home and sent them to Jackie. The floors in the bathroom, dining, and kitchen were dirtier than they had been. Chunks of brown stuff must have been stuck to the broom or their shoes from a previous clean maybe or maybe from when they cleaned the oven? Not sure. Jackie replied and arranged for someone to come the next day, as I had guests coming in that day. They sent another person who seemed much more thorough, )ex. even she took a picture of the sink spout and how dirty the previous team had left it). But when she asked if she was done, I pointed to more dust and dirty spots on the kitchen, bathroom, and dining room. I thought I was going crazy! I took a pic of the dustpan that I used to sweep up after them. Now, two days later, I used a rag to clean up a noodle my kid dropped at dinner and a dirty handprint was left behind. I continued wiping and there was still more handprints and dirt on the rag. I paid $265 for a "deep clean" I had extras added for windows, refrigerator, oven, and inside cabinets and exteriors. The cleaners came and didn't even lift up a small mat I had in front of the kitchen sink- THEY MOPPED AROUND IT! They didn't take magnets off the refrigerator, yes they cleaned around them- really?!? They didn't clean mirrors in the bathroom. And they didn't clean the windows, cabinets and fridge. They left and I realized this and chased after them, when they came back in they wiped one shelf in the fridge, and took out what was in the cupboards and left it all on the floor- I could have done that myself! They used a cleaner that made the shower doors look worse. To top it off, when they made my bed they threw the pillows on there and clearly didn't arrange them or care in the least. I let the owner know and she refunded me $45 for the extras, but I still paid over $200 for nothing. I desperately needed the help and now am just out the money. I am so upset as I type this.
