Had a good experience with this company. They came and evaluated for a deep clean. Honestly, they ran a little late, but was communicating with me to let me know that would be the case - and since I was asking for a last minute thing I don't mind waiting for the extra work. On the day of cleaning after I accepted the quote a complete cleaning of my home was done, deep clean. It looked great, and since I was selling my place I needed it. I believe it helped me get under contract so quickly having a home that was very well cleaned. I did have some blinds that were damaged due to cleaning. However, I believe that was due to age of the blinds and nothing to do with negligence. Accidents happen - and Dustbunny did offer to pay for a new blind for me - which I declined since they did such a great job and the blinds were old anyways. This was my first time hiring a cleaning service, and I was so pleased with Dustbunny's results! Marlena responded quickly to my initial inquiry and set up an appointment to see my place to give an estimate for a deep clean. She was friendly and professional and we scheduled the cleaning appointment for later that week. They did a great job of cleaning and organizing my home-- even putting away items in logical spots, stuff that was cluttering surface area. I didn't have a lot of clutter to begin with, but they proactively reorganized a few things that made a refreshing change to my home. For example, in the kitchen they put spices away in a cabinet instead crowding the countertop; organized cook books; put snacks on top of fridge instead of crowding countertops. All in all, the place looked and smelled great after the Dustbunny team was there for the day. Floors, molding, ceiling fans, bathroom --all clean and dust free. I've been using Dustbunny solutions for a couple months now and couldn't be more happy. Marlena and her team always do an excellent job, and actually made me realize how the last cleaning service I used wasn't actually that great. Dustbunny solutions is also very accommodating and flexible, which I really appreciate. I recently got a new dog, and they didn't even flinch with the new work load. They also didn't mind working with her in the house, and she seemed to take right to them. I'd recommend this cleaning team in a heart beat, they do an excellent job, and make my life so much more enjoyable (no more spending my days off vacuuming). If there was a contest for cleanest home in Chgo., I'd win! Selena did an excellent job cleaning and organizing my large condo just in time for me to place on the market. I was especially pleased how immaculate she cleaned one of my showers. My only dismay, however, is I'd rather give 4.5 stars because she broke my kitchen faucet. I think maybe she was a bit heavy-handed turning it to do the dishes. I pride myself on being a great tipper, but I cannot this time and feel it's fair since I'll have to buy a new one then pay someone to fix it for me. Let me start by saying that I'm a little bit of a freak when it comes to defining clean. We moved into a new house a few months ago, and I just can't keep everything up to my brain's OCD standards. Don't fall for the "deep cleaning" push. I was in a bind and booked Dustbunny solutions 2 days before guests were to arrive. My contact there (don't remember her name, now) kept saying I would be paying for a deep clean at about 3x's the cost of a typical cleaning. I knew I would have to pay more than usual so I went ahead and booked. Long and short of it is after paying 3x's what my usual cleaning lady charges, the dust bunnies (the real dusty kind) were still everywhere. They did not dust my shelves or my stairwell railing/wood trim, etc. They basically charged me 3x's the going rate for a terrible regular cleaning job. I should have known better. Lesson learned: 1) never get in that type of bind again; 2) get a full list of everything they will be doing for that "deep" or whatever clean I'm paying for. read more

I was extremely pleased as was my tenant for the work Marlena did for my home. We hired her for post construction clean up, as we had some repairs done in the living room of my home in Berwyn that we rent out. She was very responsive from the beginning which was a huge plus, was able to come out and give her initial assessment and gave me a reasonable rate compared to others I looked into. My tenant was also pleased at the job well done on the day of the actual cleaning. They left it spotless. Easy to work with and loved that she accepted quick pay as a form of payment. We found Dustbunny Solutions via Yelp and reached out after reading the solid review ratings. Marlena initially met us to come through the unit to estimate the amount of time it would take to clean and what the potential cost would be. For a deep clean of the unit, I felt that it was a fair estimate for the cleaning. We were then able to connect on a date the following week to clean the unit. Surprised to see so many 5 star reviews, given my experience. Marlena came to do an initial assessment, I felt very pressured to do the "deep clean". I had given my previous history with housekeepers, what I was looking for, and the general price point I had paid. She suggested a price 3x that and promised that "every couch would be moved, top to bottom cleaning". Ultimately, I agreed, in due part to her making me feel somewhat badly about the cleanliness of my home. She and 2 others showed up and let me know that they would be in and out, as they had another site to clean as well. No big deal. She texted me when they were done and made no mention of any spaces that may have not been given attention. When I came home, I was extremely disappointed. For what I was charged, this was certainly not what I was expecting. The work done was completely amateur. Cleaning streaks left all over my home, as if they had used a dirty rag the entire time. Beds that were left partially unmade. Several items not put back in their place-the whole job felt like it was very carelessly done. I let Marlena know of my disappointment, only to have her become defensive and then start to blame ME! She proceeded to insult my home, state that the job was much larger than she anticipated, and nearly left me in tears accusing me of bullying her. I'm telling you, NOTHING in my home was cleaned to a level that was promised. I have paid 1/3 of the cost and had better cleaning jobs. I feel completely ripped off. She let me know that they had skipped a few areas, in an effort to stick with the time that she had allotted for this job-though, again, never gave me a heads up that perhaps they had bitten off more than they could chew, if you will. She offered to come back and "fix" whatever had not been done, but there were just so many little things, it felt awkward, as it was such a poor job. I asked her for a partial refund, as I was really upset with how much I was charged to come home to a partially cleaned home-to which she never responded. No doubt, she will further try to bully me on this post, as she did in our text conversation. Never have I had a person pressure me into a service and then completely fail to deliver. read more

These ladies are great! They did an awesome job. I had them do move in and move out cleaning for my new and old place. They had me walk them through and show any specific things I wanted done. I had the pleasure of working with Marlena when moving out of my studio apartment this past December. She took me in as a last minute ordeal because the other company I had arranged services with did not show up. She is very personable, communication and responsiveness was super. The day I called, her crew showed up at my place to get an estimate. Next day crew showed up to clean the place. After I was informed that the unit was finished I went back in my unit to check out the quality of the service. Unfortunately, there were several things that were left untouched and dirty. Right away I called Marlena and told her. She explained to me that she recently hired someone new to her team. Acceptable and understood. She rushed there herself to wrap up the rest of the cleaning I told her that were still filthy. I was informed that the place was left finished, so I trusted her judgement never went back because I had already moved out of that unit for a week now. Overall, I was satisfied at this point and should've went back to check it one final time. However, today as I opened my mail I found a letter from my management team as they charged me an additional cleaning service fee of $100 because the move out cleaning did not meet the requirements. I was hesitant to leave a review because of the 5 star reviews other people have left, but I felt it was right to leave an honest review based on my own experience. I certainly know she wants to operate a team at a 5 star level, however, it just didn't mean that with my experience. :( I was going to contact Marlena for my boyfriend's unit, however I am quite reluctant to go back now. What a phenomenal job! I called last minute for a deep clean (and I've never used a cleaning service before) - I also had a hard stopping point because it was going to be a surprise for my boyfriend so I wanted it done before he came home from work. Marlena came out right away to check out the space and give me a reasonable quote, and then Salena and Patty came to clean. They were wonderful, respectful, and communicative. Did a wonderful job and were very conscientious of when they needed to finish by. At one point, Salena was petting my dog with one hand and expertly vacuuming the floor with the other! I also really appreciated that they gave me tips for how to clean things myself in the future. I tried a handful of other cleaning services before I was lucky enough to find Marlena, and I found her primarily because of positive Yelp reviews (which I must say are quite deserved). The basics: She's great to set up appointments with, is competitively priced, and does a bang up job. She doesn't take credit cards but does accept Quick Pay. She's quite accommodating as well - if you need something special done, or something done a certain way, just let her know. She also uses pet safe products (and is a pet fan herself!) so there's no need to worry if you've got fuzzies in the house. One thing that really sold me is that when I first talked to her she mentioned she would be at every job. For anyone who has tried more traditional services you'll find this a huge relief, as the constant rotation of new people can be both worrisome and tiring (since instructions and such invariably get lost between the people). I plan on using Dust Bunny as long as she's available. Nearly every time I forget she's coming and then open the door to a nice-smelling, shiny, bed-made apartment and let out a sigh of relief. Best work I've seen from a housekeeping service. I've been using Dustbunny for the past four months and they just did my move-out clean. It's been a huge stress relief for me to come home to a clean apartment once every couple of weeks. Marlena has always been quick with communication (even just to tell me she would get back to me later) and when I did point out something done differently than I expected, she got me an explanation from her worker and no harm was done. Usually I just leave a couple instructions for things that need attention, like shower mildew or grubby windowsills, and Marlena will make sure to hit those hard. The move-out clean was a lot more thorough than the last tenant had left for me, and she sent me detailed pictures to make sure I was happy with the job. Marlena, the owner of Dust Bunny Solutions, replied to my message within a half hour and was able to schedule cleaning my house within 48 hours. She and her assistant did a good job cleaning the first floor of my house. For an extra charge they also cleaned all the windows which was a big help. I was very satisfied with the job they did and it was a big help that she came on short notice. One negative is that they didn't clean the powder room!
