Yelp recommended three businesses to me but Lacey reached out first and even on a day when the shop was closed.

Not anymore. I went to Dave's because his shop was always the one mentioned the most on our local Facebook page when someone was looking for a trustworthy mechanic. I'm so glad I did. They will tell you honestly, in layman's terms, what is wrong with your car, why it needs to be fixed (and the repercussions if it's not), and breakdown the cost. They won't pressure you and try to add on "oh yeah, this doohickey gizmo also needs to be replaced at a cost of $2000". If there's something that can wait/isn't urgent they'll let you know that too. Literally, everyone there is super nice and friendly. From Cassie and Caroline at the front office, to the service staff I've met, Dave himself and even Glen who gave me a ride home. If you need car work done, please don't hesitate to go to Dave's. Like me, you absolutely won't regret it.

From the moment I walked in, the team was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel like a valued customer from start to finish. What really stood out was how they went above and beyond by providing me with a loaner car while mine was being worked on. That level of care and convenience made a stressful situation so much easier, and it's something you just don't see often these days. I can't recommend Kyle Auto Repair enough. Honest, kind, and genuinely customer-focused--this is the kind of shop you want in your corner. I'll definitely be coming back for any future car needs! Thank you again!

In regard to your response Frank I'll expose again why no one should use you. To start I used you…read moreafter the break issue we resolved to give you a shot. I bring up that brake issue because it eventually became a pattern of dropping the ball, and repeated issues 1. My car had to be towed because basic logic well known issue for GMC/Chevy 6.2 liter V8 engines have a lifter issue which requires engine replacement. The car wasn't in bad shape as you say. Cadillac dealership said I should have it towed due to the knocking sound. My car has always been kept immaculate. Yes you quoted a fair price, it was Lambs in Lakeway that was ridiculous and most people know they are. The engine took long because they sent the wrong engine and in regards to my finances it wasn't I couldn't pay . I was at the mercy of you and I was nothing but polite every single interaction with you. Your dropped the ball so many times and you actually asked me for advance payment at one point because you needed to pay your taxes . I didn't want to pay you UPFRONT Frank. You fix then pay, that's most every way it's done . You didn't have the money to cover costs which is a concern regarding running a business. I had also just spent money on another car repair and boat repairs . The car sat as I decided what I wanted to do. As far as stating you could have charged me storage you never once mentioned that and I have every phone call that proves that. Pretty shady of you to pull that out on your reply here. Again not on single time did you ever mention storage fees. So please don't act as if it was some favor you did. The car went in for an engine replacement. As you confirmed the day you put the engine in to test drive you call me telling me I need steering column replacement. Yes I have you on recording Frank stating that indeed the lift and big tires were the culprit. The steering was completely fine and it had not been driven once per you as we waited for the engine issue and replacement to be resolved. You now understand why I recorded you. You can't remember what you told me. I didn't struggle to pay you. I had a boat in repair and another car a Range Rover in repair. I communicated to you very professionally. By the way let's remember you had me pay up front on everything. It was the engine that was ordered that was delayed. 2. Regarding the transmission line. Let the public see this post. I pick up my car from Frank and I make it about a quarter to half a mile or so down road and what becomes the problem is the transmission line. Frank I have that call to you recorded as well and your claim that I accelerated or false and blew the line is total BS. It had nothing to do with big tires. I'm saving all my facts, statements from GM certified techs , and video of your guy coming over to "fix" it. Within a day or 2 it went out again and I made you tow it for free. It was your guy that you sent and had him do what he did and sent me on my way and that all was fine only to have it sent back to you. By the way on our recorded call you tried to lead me to believe with certainty it was one thing when in fact you were wrong and called me with another reason. Again grateful I recorded both those conversations. The reputable mechanics I discussed were my brothers out of Houston. My brother owns a professional garage and luxury and collector car biz for 22 years. The other reputable people was a connection I had out of A Cadillac dealer in Dallas. I mentioned this to you and so logically my car stayed locally with you. 3. The whole issue about you spending 200 for the detail I will just say to anyone reading this look at the pics of my Escalade left in his care. Never should have happened Frank. By the way I took a time stamp video of my car before it went back to you. I didn't spill the oil. That's a regular engine oil. Why would I need engine oil to leave in my backseat after you just repaired and did an engine replacement. Again shady of you to blame that on me. And by the way I had to waste 3 hours of my work day sitting there waiting on a detail. Completely unprofessional. 4. I asked you you fix my windshield wiper motor while you had it. You never did. I kept asking you very time you had the car and I have your texts alone that show you forgot several times. same thing Frank regarding the transmission thermostat. I asked you several times, you came out to fix my running board and forgot to get the transmission thermostat and windshield motor. Again pretty crazy you fixed my transmission yet our texts show you dropping the ball on the thermostat. I have lost count on the amount of texts I have that show you never show up on time. I'm done with my response. I'll update this post after claims court.

Well, this is definitely a mom and Pop shop! And a grandpa shop, too! My Prius is in great shape but it's a 2008 model. I regularly change the oil and get it inspected. Nothing too dramatic or challenging, so I figured I'd give them a try. As soon as I arrive, I fell in love with the place and the folks. They treated me like family and we were on a first name basis immediately. Karen explained their daily work routine and their limitations on hybrids. She was a one person show in the office and kept very busy. I was so impressed by her professionalism that I was inspired to bring my other vehicles for things like window motors, front headlight bulb replacement, battery check, and spark plugs check. All accomplished with a "got it done " with a smile attitude! Each time they look for the simplest fix first then go on with your approval. My, oh My! As a woman, I am not inhibited in entering this auto shop, knowing the typical mumbo jumbo is not part of their routine!
