Morgan's is a small town cafe with Midwest charm and a home style menu. The cafe sits in an aging strip mall. Local sports photos adorn the walls. The mix of booths and tables give off a 1990's vibe. The place is cozy and comforting. Our server was attentive, friendly and engaging. She made menu recommendations. The menu is a mix of traditional breakfast and lunch items. Egg plates, pancakes, omelets, burgers. Prices are reasonable. There is an up charge for crust card use. I had a cheeseburger with onion rings on the advice of our server. The burger was huge with lots of toppings - I could only eat half. The onion rings are house made and delicious. My husband had the breaded tenderloin, which is prepared fresh in house. The huge tenderloin was thin with a nice breaded coating. He had the fries, which could have been a bit crispier. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. read more

I haven't been here in years. Why? I don't know, there's nothing wrong with this place other than it is not located right on the side of the road but set a ways back so I probably just don't think about them when driving by. So my granddaughter and I came here for lunch. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and she had the Buffalo Chicken. It was good food and we would both order ours again. I was impressed they had four kinds of cobblers on hand, peach, cherry, apple and blackberry. We both ordered cobbler, cherry for me and blackberry for her. They were both delicious. I can hear on Saturday the 24th of Jan - the day before all the bad weather hit. It was definitely a popular place to be that day!! There was not a long wait to sit though and as soon as I was seated my drink order was taken (coffee and ice water FTW!) there was a bit of a wait for someone to take my food order and for the food to come out but as I said the place was packed. I think the local sheriff was in there helping pour coffee too. No cap. I got a bacon and cheese omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast and a small bowl of grits. The small bowl of grits wasn't that small!! It was good sized. The omelette was big as well. I ate all my grits but only half of everything else and had to bring the rest to go. When the food came out it wasn't piping hot (the grits were but the omelette and hash browns is what I'm talking about here) more like warm as though it had been ready for a little bit and was waiting to be brought to my table. Again, the place was packed and I can understand a delay with getting things out. Maybe the sheriff's shift had ended and he had gone home or something, I dunno. After looking for my favorite one of a kind restaurants while in an area we don't frequent, I came across a family owned restaurant in Mooresville, Indiana called Morgan's Corner Cafe. It's not actually on a corner but maybe it was at one time. Once you arrive it's a seat yourself restaurant which makes it nice to get a booth or table of your choice. The menu was nothing surprising but they have great reviews for their biscuits and gravy. I ordered the Haystack which features hash browns, topped with biscuits and gravy with your choice of 2 eggs cooked to your liking. You have an option of a half or full order. I went for the full and I was totally full at the end. It was delicious by the way. The server was right to our table and very personable and pleasant and appeared to enjoy her job. This was refreshing and assuring we were at the right place. The other item ordered was a mushroom and Swiss burger that the restaurant said was ok to cook up before 11 am. This was also not necessary for them to do but they happily did it for us with no fuss. The decor was open and comforting and we were made to feel welcome from the time we came in and from the time we left. It was a great choice for us and I'm sure you will enjoy it as well. 10/10, two thumbs way up, 100% would recommend- just do yourself a favor and eat here. While visiting the area, my boyfriend and I had originally planned to eat at a nearby restaurant (which I won't name, but rhymes with shoeberry mill). We decided to pivot when we saw a member of the kitchen staff step out back for a smoke while wearing an apron that I can only assume hadn't been washed this decade. AND WE ARE SO THANKFUL! We had such a great time eating here. The only thing sweeter than our server was our pancakes and our only regret was not ordering more hash brown casserole. We randomly found this spot on Yelp and decided to check it out. It seemed extremely busy when we entered, but they seem to be a weekend breakfast spot and ended up getting a spot rather quickly. We chose a table by the kitchen and were immediately greeted by our server. My husband opted for the Ribeye, biscuit, and eggs and hash browns (special highlighted on the wall) and I went for the All meat omelette with hash browns. I was curious about the pancakes and did a Silver Dollar add on since they had run out of the Sourdough bread. We also got a couple of coffees, which had an option for free refills. The staff worked pretty well and efficiently since the cook turned out orders pretty quickly and the bussers cleared and cleaned tables like clockwork. We must have shown up during a breakfast rush but were served quickly. This also seemed to be a spot for those attending the Colts home games, post church, or just for the weekend. There were also other out of towners like ourselves (Michigan fans) that came by to grub. The food came out quickly and on point. The steak was cooked appropriately and biscuit melted in my mouth. Delicious. The hash browns and eggs were also pretty tasty. It was nice and family friendly, literally full of regulars and seemed to be a place where everyone knew everyone. I loved the Christmas decor and it made the restaurant a bit more homey and comfy. Definitely worth a trip back to try out more dishes, especially the sold out sourdough bread. Met up with old friends from out of town. Needed a relaxed place were we could just sit, talk and enjoy a good meal. Morgan's Corner Cafe was the perfect place. You will not find a elegant fresh meal or exotic Asian. Instead, you will have the feeling of sitting around your own kitchen table without having to cook, serve or do the dishes. We had some time to spare waiting on a kid's baseball game. Although I was torn between here and a pancake house that offered mimosas, the reviews were so good we chose here. Also, my daughter is named Morgan so I had to check out her namesake. This was a Sunday around 9:45 am. The line was out the door. The ladies in front of us insisted the food was worth the wait and the portions were hardy. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to know each other, which is usually a good sign that the food is good enough for a come back. We waited awhile to be seated and it took a pretty long time to get our food. We had heard a 14 top and 7 top get seated before us, so the wait was expected. Our waitress was friendly as was a few of the other employees. Our food was good & decent- nothing bad and nothing to rave about. I could make it at home, which I think is the point of the restaurant... to get food that is homemade and not from a conveyor belt or heating lamp. The gravy was my favorite and the eggs were tasty. The potatoes were only browned on one side- they were not undercooked but I would have liked crispy all over. If you have some time to waste this spot is fine, but a mimosa, Bloody Mary or even just a fresh squeezed juice would have helped me enjoy my time a little more. read more

Not at all pleased and certainly not impressed with this restaurant. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy that came out COLD. I has the ultimate meat and CHEESE omelet, I capitalized the cheese because there was only a small amount of shredded cheese on top of the crepe, that was supposed to be my eggs, that covered the sprinkles of meat inside the crepe. With my crepe omelet I ordered the hash browns that tasted so awful that I couldn't eat them no matter how I tried to flavor them. The only edible thing on the plate was the wheat toast. They do most food pretty good here. Reminds me of food I often ate growing up in Mooresville. Generous portions and typical sandwich items. They usually do not have soup, but today they had chicken tortellini soup which was not very remarkable. Most sandwiches come with potato chips for $6 to $8, add on about $4 if you want fries. My family and I decided to visit Morgan's Corner Cafe on Sunday for breakfast. It has that warm and welcoming down home feel. The food was awesome and you got a lot for the money. Morgan's has a new location and it's great! Same great food and service, now in a more spacious location. Plenty of parking and two new private banquet/event rooms. Their biscuits and gravy are my all time favorite, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I had a sausage and egg biscuit sandwich. My grandpa gets the oatmeal. The coffee is hot and plentiful. Everyone is friendly and service is pretty quick, even when they're packed. Morgan's has moved into a much better, much cleaner location! This was my first time visiting their new location. We were told by the lady at the cash register to seat ourselves wherever we wanted. We chose a booth by the wall. It had an outlet near it, and I was thinking that they would have something cool if they turned those outlets into USB hubs/outlet upgrades. Then people would chill and charge at the same time while taking advantage of their free wifi. Our server was nice and sassy. You could tell she was comfortable working here. Hubby and I both ordered unsweet iced tea (brewed, yes!!!!) and the special of the day: Chicken pot pie in a bread bowl. Despite the entree containing TONS of peas, it was actually really good. It was creamy and chickeny, so I didn't notice the peas as much (peas aren't my favorite, in case you couldn't tell). It was a large portion of food, and I finished it in its entirety. There is a new restaurant coming in next door any day now, so I would strongly suggest that they upgrade those outlets! read more

Was terrible. The service was just as bad. My server was just talking to the table in front of me for 5 mins before asking me what I wanted to drink and eat. And when I finally ordered. The food wasn't good. None of it. The pancakes were beyond extremely large, and the eggs were like they cooked them first. Almost cold and undesirable. I don't see how this place is always packed. Despite the sterile colors of this new home for the restaurant, the staff made us feel welcome on our lunchtime visit. There was plenty of room to grab a chair (seat yourself style). Our hostess/waitress swiftly brought out menus and our drink orders. We even got to place our orders quickly. However, there was a longer wait than expected for lunch. But the food was reasonably priced and the taste was really good! My wife ordered a low cal plate and opted for tuna salad as her main item. The large plate came with a sliced hard-boiled egg, tomato slices, a cup of peaches, another of cottage cheese and some cheese slices with crackers. She said it all tasted fresh and was quite filling. I ordered the lightly breaded cod (sandwich) and was able to pick the toppings I wanted. I also got a side of onion rings. The cod was cooked just right and was moist with just enough flavor in the breading to complement the fish. It was served on a fluffy white bun that managed to keep all my toppings held within. The onion rings were lightly battered as well and although a little "juicy" inside, the flavor was sweet and yummy. They could have gone just a little longer to crisp the outsides more, but I preferred these to being burned. The onion itself was very tender. Terrible. We watched a bunch of food put up on the counter by cook. I thought "I hope that's not ours because it was up there a long time". It was ours and everything was cold. I can't eat eggs that are dry and cold. Toast was dry and not fresh. Only time our waitress came back was to drop off our bill without even stopping at our table.
