This place has been on my To Try Next list since I moved back to Indiana four years ago. I never could quite get around to experiencing this small business but I always wanted to. Today, I did, because I didn't have to fast for a blood draw right down the street. The inside is a lot bigger than I expected. There is plenty of seating. I counted 18 tables with two seats each (for a total of 36 seats) but arranged in various combinations of 2, 4, 6, and 8 seat groups of tables. The service is super friendly. Well over and beyond any expectation you may have, I'm sure. They make you feel like a member of the family and that you have been coming here for years. I ordered the Grilled Philly Steak Sandwich which comes how ever you want it fixed with a choice of six different cheeses. The sandwich was excellent. I had a bag of plain Lays chips with my sandwich. For dessert I had one Chocolate Chip Cookie. Paying is super easy and totally informal (they explained it to me earlier). No waiting on a check, just mosey up to the register when you're ready and settle up. read more

First and foremost, the woman woking here are very friendly and welcoming. They are some of the friendliest that you will find. I felt as if I was eating at their kitchen table. They host bible study twice a week and you can tell that the restaurant is faith based. The restaurant is located at an odd intersection and has a small private parking area. The restaurant/cafe/coffee house has a small dining area (with what looks like an overflow area to dine) and a typical cafe style menu that has burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and breakfast food. I went with the chicken salad sandwich with fries. The sandwich was surprisingly good. I had never had chicken salad with raisins and grapes before. But it was very flavorful and delicious. The fries were different too, And also in a good way. I cant put my finger on what made them different, but they were just good. The prices are reasonable and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I am glad that I was able to make it here and I recommend that you check this place out if you are looking for good food and the friendliest service that you will find. read more

The House is nice, little family owned restaurant with big flavors. The owners of this little establishment are just as courteous and friendly as one can be and the interior really gives it that real, small-town diner feel that used to be a prevalence in America. The House has the BEST homemade soups! We had the cream of mushroom soup and it was thick and chock full of mushrooms! (NOT vegetarian as it has a tiny bit of roast beef pieces/juice for flavor- DELICIOUS!) We also had great sandwiches. I really enjoyed my chicken salad and my husband liked his grilled chicken sandwich. The star of the show was the soup! As my hubby said, "It's so good, you don't need crackers!" Staying in Plainfield for the weekend and decided to get brunch here because of the reviews. What a great little spot. It kinda has a hole in the wall feel but it is very inviting. Staff was friendly as could be. The food was amazing. I had the country fried steak and it was melt in your mouth good. The blueberry pancakes were very fluffy and tasty. Even the coffee was perfect. The House is a convenient cafe for stopping by to get soup, sandwiches, and a few treats if you are in the Mooresville area. The folks who run the place seem really upbeat and want you to have a positive experience dining here. I stopped in on a rainy winter day and wanted to try some soup. Lots of choices, but I went with the broccoli cheese, a bowl of chili, and got a chicken salad croissant (two smaller ones, actually) to go so that my wife could share lunch with me. The highlight of the selections was the chicken salad croissant (s). The two small pastries were light and sliced with a decent helping of a sweet chicken salad with sliced grapes. The salad was moist but generally stayed within the sandwich. No dripping here! The chili was a very mild style. I had them add onion and shredded cheese on top and recommend adding those. It could use a bit more seasoning for my tastes, but was still pleasant. The broccoli cheese was VERY cheesy with small bits of broccoli. I would prefer a little higher ratio of veggie to cheese, but again, it's a matter of taste. (I like to pan sear my broccoli before adding it into the cheese soup at home.) Small and a limited selection but.... The people here are really friendly. They check on you every step of the way. From the moment you enter the facility, to assisting you with the ordering process, and finally making sure that you are satisfied with your meal before you even pay. That is good service! They are limited to soup, sandwiches, and chili dogs from what I could tell. Hubby and I each had one of their combos which consisted of a sandwich, cup of soup, drink, and chips. I had chicken with uhhhhh....some sort of cheese....y'all know me and my memory. It was either cheddar or colby-jack. After seeing my order (you fill out what you want on little slips of paper), the gentleman verified that I didn't want anything from the garden on my sandwich. Our sandwiches came out nicely toasted. The soup was very tasty. We both had the chicken noodle variety. They take in local soup recipe suggestions, and if they use your soup, you get a free serving of soup. This place is religiously-themed, although they were not pushy with us. The only thing that was mentioned at the end was that we could feel free to look over and sign up for bible study classes that they offered. I met a friend here last week and while here had a coffee. The owners are Super Nice and what I remember about the Midwest feel and Comfort. Ordered the grilled cheese and fries and it was like being at home. Met another friend again today at this restaurant and again the food and coffee was what I needed. My daughter wanted to try this place vice the usual places along Hwy 67...I said sure why not. Parking lot was pretty full so .....Place was a little bit hard to find as it doesn't look like a restaurant from the road! Had my breakfast usual....B&G topped with scrambled eggs, some hash browns and coffee. Took a little bit of time to get the chow; but it was worth the wait... Everything was fresh, I think they just cooked the biscuits for me as they weren't even room temp on the inside and cooked perfectly, the eggs - fluffy and evenly cooked...not slapped on a too hot grill and "quick fried", the gravy was tasty and NOT microwaved, hashbrowns just the right crispness and...the coffee was even great. These people know how to cook!!! From now on this will be my go to place for breakfast on the Northwest of Mooresville and anytime I'm traveling IN-67, I will be making the trip here for breakfast or lunch. Do yourself a favor and experience how food should be prepped and served...Staff was friendly and answered questions completely, place was nice and clean......from now on this is my go to place!!! Myself & some girlfriends enjoyed our dinners at The House very much.
