    Excellent shrimp Po 'Boy

We had to travel to Ft. Wayne from the Dayton Ohio area to pick up a dog my wife purchased. Being a born and raised Hoosier, my Buckeye wife suggested that we find a local restaurant that served tenderloins. After a quick search I ran across Morgan's, which was close to our destination. We both were blown away by the food, the very efficient and friendly staff, and owners and especially our waitress, Alyssa ( Who was awesome) and the beyond reasonable prices. My wife had the shrimp Po' Boy, which she said it was as good if not better than her favorite she had eaten in New Orleans. I had the Breaded tenderloin, it was great size ( not the classic big as a hubcap tenderloin, but that's what made this great) and perfect thickness, they do all the meat prep on site, one of the best I have ever had. In addition to this, we had the fried mushrooms, we never had any this big and were delicious and I had to try the pork rinds, once again awesome. We could have easily made a meal for the two us on the appetizers alone. I know it is a long review, but just a few words aren't enough to say how good Morgan's is, and we plan on making a trip back soon. Great job guys!

Food: Morgan's is known for their smash burgers, so I gave the Black Snake a shot! The jalapeños promised heat, but it was more of a gentle kick. The cheese curds tho were BOMB. Crispy, melty, and YUMMY. Service/Ambiance: The staff was friendly and greeted me right away. They let me sit wherever I wanted. Overall ambiance is very laid back, definitely divey. Felt like the youngest one there and maybe got a few stink eyes, but hey I came for the food. :) Might build my own burger next time and see what happens. Bottoms up Morgan's!

First off, staff don't treat you as simply another customer, they treat you like you're a lifelong friend stopping in for the umpteenth time!! Extraordinary service, totally committed to your experience being the best!! The (hand~breaded) mushrooms and pickle chips were melt~in~your mouth PERFECT! The homemade horseradish sauce and ranch dressing provided the most delicious combination! Our dinners, three delectable tenderloin sandwich platters and one perfectly prepared burger filled us all to just this side of all having to loosen our belts! Put all these together in a building filled with other 'friends' and comfortable surroundings you'll never forget about this restaurant! We were visited by what we are sure was one of the owners at least twice. Helping answer questions and bringing the 'beer' expert over for more detailed information (she actually is the person who orders and specializes in the beer selection)! Never did we feel hurried, rushed, only felt like they truly wanted us to know our importance to them.... We'll be back, just as soon as we can! (Even the bathrooms were fun!) DON'T MISS OUT ON THE FANTASTIC, FRIENDLY, and FUN RESTAURANT!

This little brewery and grill has some big flavor, the food that we ordered was outstanding. We were waited on immediately, the staff were very attentive. And everyone was friendly. This will become our must stop places when we visit Ft. Wayne.

I don't even know where to start...this place is amazing and I can't believe it took us this long to give it a shot! The servers and bartenders are so attentive and took the time to walk us through the menu and make recommendations - all of which were spot on. The restaurant itself is a love child between a dive bar and a family restaurant with live music and some pretty impressive made-to-order cocktails. We had to go with the smashburgers, the thing they're known for, and we weren't disappointed! Do yourself a favor and get the extra patty and swap the American for pepper jack if you like a little spice. The burgers are super fresh and come with fries that you can tell are homemade. The onion rings are sliced thin, lightly breaded and served with any dipping sauce you'd like (get the horseradish sauce and thank me later). We haven't stopped talking about this place since eating there last week, and are already planning our next visit!

My experience was amazing! When I went I actually got to talk to the owner who also works there. She told me she named the restaurant after her daughter. The business is family owned and very friendly. They made me feel very welcomed. Then the food was just too notch. Fried pickles are better than any place I've had and that smash burger!! That smash burger is the best burger in town!! I promise you. Get down to this place asap!!

Spoke + Ivy (west Main Street, FW) - another locally unique dinning experience that deserves a try…read more Spoke + Ivy is located on west Main Street - across the parking lot from Redwood Inn restaurant, if that helps. This restaurant is set in an old building that used to house a pharmacy. It retains the character of the building via the hardwood interiors, tall ceilings, large window views of the street and concrete/industrial ceilings. The interior is nicely decorated with inviting green, brown wood and black accent colors. Table settings were very attractive as well. You can park in the small side lot or on the street. Reservations are easily made on line. The team is very friendly and welcoming. All set the stage for a fun and relaxing dinner experience. Spoke + Ivy has a very small food and specialty cocktail menu. This is the second time we have been here. Each time we found the food to be delicious and the cocktails are uniquely designed. Here is a run down on the food items we ordered: -Focaccia Bread: a mildly sweet, dense/firm bread, slightly airy with a touch of herbs to accent. It is cut into blocks so it is easier to share. The vodka sauce is thin in consistency with a smooth Italian seasoned tomato appeal. Both make for a deliciously simple starter. -Lobster Roll Rangoon: decided to give this a try. It comes out as one large Rangoon - not individual pieces. This means that you must awkwardly cut this shareable into pieces. The slightly crispy & oily wrapper is similar to most crab Rangoon pieces. It has a nice crisp. The inside has shredded pieces of lobster. It was not filled with creme cheese sauce like traditional rangoons - just plain. The green lemon parsley sauce was simply outstanding! It's very fresh, moderately thick and has a slightly tart taste. This added "the sauce" to what the inside of the Rangoon was lacking. -Milanese: nicely breaded chicken that was very moist. The breading is slightly sweet. The fresh bed of arugula salad is a nice add -Prime Rib Pho: this sounded really interesting. It's a smaller/healthier dish. The medium rare prime rib was sliced thin and tender. There wasn't many pieces of prime rib in this dish. The add-ins were fresh and much like you would expect from a Pho dish - just not as much volume. The broth has a chili oil base that gives it a spicier flavor. Overall we really enjoy this relaxed atmosphere and character of the building. The delicious food and cocktails are excellent.

We were seated in a very awkward corner table for two where the tables were really close together. Since it was our Valentine's celebration, I would have been uncomfortable with the tables next to us having people at them because it didn't give you any privacy or space for private conversation. We did not get drinks or appetizers. Our meals were very good (salmon and chicken). The server was good but didn't refill my water and that' a big deal to me. Also, it's supposed to be an upscale place and they were out of paper towels in the bathroom. I feel like that is just basic service they should check on regularly.

The staff here was very friendly and helpful for us first timers. pasta di Guy is a step up from mall food and a step below an Italian dine in restaurant that specializes in Italian food. It's not Fazoli's...but it's not Casa's, Ziano's or Salvatori's either. We started with the breadsticks. You basically get two 6" sticks for $2. The bread was soft on the inside and has a slight crunch/crisp on the outside. There was a slight butter and garlic taste to the outside. Overall...okay. Only six inches of breadstick left you wanting more. My wife really liked her Caprese Wrap. This mirrored the Caprese salad quite a bit. The salad was fresh with plenty of arugula. The balsamic vinegar drizzle was very tasty - dark and rich. The tomatoes were foreshadowing like the cheese and lettuce. The cheese had a nice mild taste but I found it very difficult to cut. The salad bowl shape makes it difficult to eat the beautifully presented cheese, tomatoes and drizzle without cutting them into pieces. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. I love spaghetti and meatballs and get this about every where I go. This entree ran about $13 for a medium portion of pasta. There were five small meatballs in the dish. I found the pasta to be perfectly cooked. Easily cut with the plastic knife and tasty. There was not enough marinara sauce to accent the dish. It was thin in volume and made it difficult to bring out good Italian flavors. There wasn't enough Parmesan cheese to give the sauce some added flavor. However they will give you as many packets of cheese as you like. The meatballs were moist and cooked about right to give them some firmness. They weren't out of the Hormel meatball bag...however they didn't have much spice to give it more flavor. I was pleased that I could cut them into lots of pieces and have a bit of meatball with most bits of pasta.
