This is a wonderful practice with caring staff members and veterinarians. It has been a few months since we had a "quality of life" visit for our very old cat. They compensated for the urgency and uncertainty that we felt and provided time, empathy, and understanding. I recommend watching "The Cost of Caring" for anyone who wants to learn and understand what a veterinarian practice and its staff experiences on a daily basis. It certainly gave me a new perspective. My pets WERE patients here for 20+ years. Since before Covid, MVC has been going downhill and continues to do so. They were bought out by a corporation and the vets keep changing and then the staff kept changing too. In late 2020, l l had to get angry and rude and demand a different medicine that does not cause seizures for my poor pet. My baby was not going through that horrific experience again. Gabapentin has a huge side effect of causing seizures. The vet did not want to believe me. Also, the staff continually confused and messed up appointments as did the online booking tool once they had one (this was from 2020 up through 2024). And then I was made out to look like the one who booked incorrectly, no their online software is set to the wrong time zone. I'd come with my pet at the specified time and be turned away. Really? Thanks for not caring about my pet's needs. They lost me as a customer forever. I nowadays go to a different vet's office around town. There are many others that do better than this corporation. And I know all prices have gone up but not as much as MVC. It's all about big $$. Just pass and go to one of the many others around this town. Your pets will thank you. read more

I have taken my pets here for over 11 years! We have Dr. Taylor as our main doctor, while he can lack in small conversation, he cares so very deeply for our pets and thier health. All of the staff are so polite and friendly, even during peak hours. I have NEVER had any complaints in the 11 years I have gone to this vet. I have had a variety of pets over these years 2 cats, a dog, 2 ferrets, and a gerbil! All lived (cats and dog still living) very long and healthy lives. read more

My cat was a stray and escaped before he could be seen, and the staff did everything to help, setting up traps etc and got him in 2 days! They checked him out, treated him, returned him to me, and even called the next day to check on him, the ultimate combination of professionalism and compassion! read more

We have lived in Morgantown for five months. Our family is been blessed with seven dogs. Two of them have several health issues due to breed and age. The MVC staff has been extremely helpful in treating and caring for our pups. The prices are reasonable (definitely less expensive than many of our previous vets) and Dr. Taylor is super sweet. We move often and it means so much when we know our fur babies are in good hands. read more

I was really shocked to see such negative reviews on here! I've been taking our family dog here for years and they've always been so great to us. She's now almost 12 and still gets so excited to see the vet (especially Dr Kinny). Since I moved to Morgantown and now have an epileptic cat I've still been coming here and receiving great care. Both Drs are very kind and I really appreciate the time they take to explain things to me as a first time cat owner. The desk staff is always very patient with my questions as well. My only complaint is the wait time but I think they really just have more business than they have room for. read more

I've brought my dog here for over 3 years. I've never really felt they have truly provided good service. The staff isn't helpful or friendly Dr. Taylor has no bedside manner and really seems to struggle with his interactions with humans. He is great with my dog but that is about the only positive. The vet actually over vaccinated my dog so they could make extra money off us. They've also done things like said "here is a sample of ear medication try it and let us know if you like it" except when I went to pay I was being charged for medicine? Long wait room times and small cramped area for wait is almost inexcusable. Bottom line cheat lake or paw prints is probably a safer option when it comes down to overall care for your animal. read more

To be honest, I didn't actually bring my cat in here for a check up but the staff is amazing! I had my first flea infestation ever and I was a wreck! I am panicking and the staff was extremely helpful in assisting me get the care I need for my cat and my apartment to make it flea free. I was full of questions and they handled each one very well. I had a gentleman help me on the phone and when I got there, a lady named Michelle went above and beyond the call of duty. I really appreciate there strong knowledge of their products. If my cat needs a check up while I'm in Morgantown I will definitely go here :) read more

I have been taking my dogs here for 5 years. Overall both DVMs and the vet techs are friendly and I can tell they care about my boys. The prices are sometimes outrageous, but I have Bulldog breeds and they are my susceptible to health problems so things can add up. They always call and check up on my pets a few days after a visit. The only downer is that wait times can be long. I've waited up to 45 minutes past my appointment time to get in. I usually spend over an hour there every visit. read more

Dr. Kenney and staff are great and love the animals I their care. My dog had serious injuries caused by another vet and they were so good at taking care of her. They also free of charge cleaned up a lost dog I found and helped me find the owner. They are kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. As for the previous "over vaccination" there are vaccines that are suggested that you are not legally required to do and it depends on your situation if it makes sense. I have never had a wait time problem and Dr. Taylor while not as chatty was great with my cat. read more

We have been taking our animals to Morgantown vet care for several years. I recently scheduled a neuter for my 9 month old Yorkie. I called to ask for a price so that I could be prepared and was told $250 all inclusive. I called back a few days later to ask if they could remove 4 of his baby teeth that had not fallen out yet since he would be under anesthesia already for the neuter procedure. I asked for the price on this and was told $100. When my husband picked him up that evening my bill was $450- $100 more than quoted. Looking at the break down they charged us for a dental block to pull the teeth- RIDICULOUS- considering he was already under general anesthesia. They ran an expensive blood panel which is not needed for a dog his age. They gave him intravenous antibiotics which was also completely unnecessary. I emailed the office addressing each of these issues and was told that my husband signed off on this. Since he was on his way to work and had no idea what my conversations were with the secretary, he was oblivious to the situation and taken advantage of. I requested a refund, but the office manager tried to say these procedures were explained to my husband. I don't necessarily doubt that they were, but I am positive they convinced him these things were medically necessary and he fell for it. I can assure you that if you're a patient there, they are milking you for money. Take your pet elsewhere. If these are their up front business practices, I would hate to see what it looks like in the back. read more

I have never been overcharged for medication. The bloodwork to refill medication is necessary to ensure that all vital organs are properly working, as many medications adversely affect vital organs, and damage can occur very quickly. I have never experienced an hour wait time. I do know that new staff members have been added. Dr. Kinney always takes time to discuss my pets' issues with me. read more

ONE OF THE WORST BUSINESS EXPERIENCES I'VE EVER HAD. My daughter and I arrived on time for our appointment, and were the only ones in the waiting area. We sat for one hour, while the staff did not say a word to us. No "Sorry for the delay, it won't be long" or anything. The entire time, no other customers came or went. When we finally got up and told the two ladies in the reception area we were leaving, they stared at us and did not say a word. A truly creepy experience. They are just incredibly incompetent and rude. read more

Everything about this place is very unprofessional. The staff does not seem to know what they are doing, and after waiting for almost 2 hours I was finally taken back into a room. When FINALLY taken back into the room, The assistant acted like she didn't know what was going on and kept asking me what shots that my dog needed. I'm pretty sure that they have record of that. It took awhile for the doctor to come in, and when he did he kept pushing himself away from my dog like he didn't want to be around him. Yes I know my dog can be hyper at times, but it is very unprofessional that a VET would be scared of my dog. When going to check out, they said they needed my chart before they could check me out.. I AGAIN HAD TO WAIT an additional 10 minutes. Let's just say I will never bring my pet here again and will not recommend them to anyone else. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE ALL DAY TO WAIT FOR A FEW SHOTS. read more
