Imma be so honest, it's been 3 days since I've been here and my god, I'm still daydreaming about their tirimisu latte. SO CREAMY. Also, I was amazed by how purple the ube latte was! This place deserves more hype. Most of the time, I go with matcha because I don't like how lattes usually taste, but I decided I'd give it a go because HELLO?! $10.99 for their latte and banh mi combo?! That's literally the price of a number 1 combo at Inn n Out. Of course, I had to try it. The banh mi bread was so crunchy, I felt like I was a foodie ASMR YouTuber. My only wish was that there was a little more filling inside the sandwich, but overall, can't complain. It's really hard to find prices like this nowadays with this type of quality in food in drinks. Best part? I don't have to go all the way to Mesa to get good matcha and coffee. Hopefully they put up some flags or other signs outside to get more attention because the building adjacent to them blocks their store sign on the way to the 202. I was informed they only been opened for a month. This place is so cute and GOOD! I would say this would be a perfect spot to catch up with a friend or even go on a lil solo coffee date. The Ube cream on my latte was to die for. It was so ube and I loveeee me some Ube. Once I mixed my drink it was the perfect combination of bitter and sweet. The tiramisu latte was so creamy. Oh my god don't get me started on the bahn mi. The bread was soooo crispy at first I tasted more pepper but then I went in for a second bite I was so wrong. It was the perfect amount and combination of meat, vegetables, and bread. I haven't had a good bahn mi in Gilbert since well... EVER. The pickled radish being perfectly crunchy with oh so juicy meat. We drive by this spot often and decided to stop by after school and so glad we did. We each picked a drink and the girls added croffles, which they loved as much as their peach and strawberry drinks. I went with the bánh mì and coffee combo which was amazing. The bread was nice and crunchy and I am so happy to have a spot for this nearby. This will be an after school spot for sure. Finally a good matcha/Viet coffee place in the east valley and closer to my house. Yay! No more driving all the way to Chandler! I've been here a few times already so I can say it's legit. I came during the soft opening week when everything was 20%, the Grand opening when everything was 50% and just last week. I was greeted each time I walked in and you have the option to order with one of the girls or the screen up front. Parking is easy and out front. There is a lil outside patio with a table and chairs. The inside is not huge with maybe 4 small tables with chairs inside so every table was filled during the grand opening. But that was expected so on a regular day I'm sure it's fine. I like the clean aesthetics of the place. It's cozy and cute. I love seeing pictures of what I am eating and drinking so I appreciate the big picture menu on their wall. I am not the biggest coffee drinker but I had to try the ube latte bc I love ube. It was good but stroooong, especially since it's Viet coffee. Lols The same with my friend's Mori coffee, strong but good. So it's great if you are a coffee drinker and need that caffeine high. Lols The girl who helped me was so nice to make it sweeter for me. The owner Sue told me in the future I can request for it to be on the sweeter side with less coffee so I'll do that. Sue was really nice too and answered any questions I had :) I tried the mango and strawberry matchas on my next visits, all good! I also tried the matchamisu and that was delicious. I recommend trying that. She only makes around 15 total of those and the tiramisus a day so once she's out, she's out. I also tried the banh mi and that was yum. So excited to see a matcha cafe close to the east valley! Normally, we'd have to travel to Chandler or Tempe for decent matcha. I picked up a my husband and I some blueberry matcha. I got the sugar adjusted to 25% and my husband's to 50%. Next time, we're moving up to 50 and 100. The matcha itself is legit and balanced with earthy flavors. I love how they offer soy milk! Service was fast! I was able to get my drinks within 5 minutes. I'll be back to try their strawberry matcha and ube latte! This coffee and matcha shop is still in its soft opening phase, so I'm keeping that in mind with this review. Service was a bit slow, even with only two people ahead of us. It also seemed like most drinks were pre-made- the matcha tasted more like a concentrate or syrup rather than freshly whisked. I did see them squeeze the matcha out of a bottle. I originally found this spot on TikTok and was really excited to try it. It seems like they're still working on perfecting their recipes. The Mori Matcha didn't really taste like matcha and was overwhelmed by foam, while the tiramisu matcha was slightly better but still lacked a strong matcha flavor. On the plus side, everything was 20% off during the soft opening. I'm definitely open to giving this place another try in a couple of months once they've had time to refine things. I saw this place on IG and had the urge to try it, but I missed the grand opening because I was working and it's pretty far from my house. I finally went this morning around 9am and ordered a combo bánh mì with coffee, a matcha tiramisu, a classic tiramisu, and two croffles. Everything was honestly so tasty--no complaints at all. When I looked at the receipt, I was shocked. In this economy, you really can't beat those prices. I'll definitely be coming back to try more. I am always eager to try new matcha places in Arizona, and Mori Cafe is definitely one i'll be coming back to! I have come twice now for their soft opening. During my first visit, I tried their earl grey matcha and banh mi. Earl grey is typically my go-to, and their earl grey tea was very flavorful paired with the matcha! The sweetness of their drinks is on the less sweet side, which is perfect for me. You can also adjust the sweetness level to 50% or no sugar if you prefer. Their banh mi is traditional Vietnamese banh mi and is a great snack paired with their drinks. The second visit, I tried their strawberry matcha and Mori matcha. My SO tried their blueberry yogurt drink. They came out relatively quickly considering the line ahead of us and only one barista working. All 3 were delicious, and I really liked that the strawberry syrup in the matcha and blueberry syrup in the yogurt drink were freshly made (you can taste the fruit bits)! Other than the drinks, the cafe space is very cute and has a few spots for people to sit. It is a bit on the small side, so large groups of people probably won't be able to sit together inside. I look forward to trying the rest of their menu in the future and what more will come from them for their grand opening! read more

I'm always excited when a new coffee shop opens, and Mori Cafe did not disappoint. The space is super cute, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and the menu really stands out. What surprised me most is how innovative their drinks are. I tried the Cococano (a really refreshing mix with coconut water and espresso), and my wife had the matcha latte with oat milks both were excellent. You can tell they put real thought into creating something different from the usual coffee lineup.We loved it so much that we've already been back three times this week. They also had a bánh mì on the menu, and I honestly expected it to be an afterthought but DAMN! it was so, so good. I was genuinely impressed by how well it was done. I can't praise this place enough. I always root for young businesses that take the time to build a menu that actually excites the community, and Mori Cafe is doing exactly that. So happy to have Mori Cafe in the Gilbert neighborhood! Stopped in today and ordered their combo which is a banh mi sandwich and drink for $10.99. I ordered a jasmine lime iced tea to go with my banh mi and everything was delicious and refreshing! The banh mi was a good ratio of meat to veg and the bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside side and soft and pillowy on the inside! So yummy! I am beyond happy that I don't necessarily have to drive to Mesa or Chandler to get my banh mi fix. They also had a nice variety of matcha drinks, teas, and other drinks. We were so excited to try this place out but our experience fell short. Upon arrival there was a kiosk to order drinks. However it was a bit unclear what each drink meant and the staff was busy. We ordered the bahn mi combo which was a great deal for ten dollars and came with a coffee. We also tried the salted Carmel coffee. We waited a really really long time for our drinks. When we saw people behind us get their drinks I went up to ask what was going on. Apparently they were holding our coffees until the sandwich was done. This made no sense as the ice was melting and we wanted to drink our coffees fresh. When we finally got everything the sandwich was crumbly! The drink that came with it was okay and ended up being a Vietnamese coffee and the salted Carmel was in drinkable. Nothing special just the usual syrup flavors you can buy at the store but this coffee was just off and not fresh. The two drinks and a sandwich was around twenty dollars. read more

I'm so happy that they finally open. Went to the grand opening today and was definitely not disappointed. I ordered the tiramisu cake and Jamine lime tea. This tiramisu is the best tiramisu I've ever tried, and I had a lot of tiramisu everywhere, even in Florence and Rome. The lime tea is so refreshing which goes wonderfully with the tiramisu. Mori Cafe is a new cafe in Gilbert. The waffle and the prices were the highlight of this experience. The matcha, as another review mentioned, was pre-prepared and then poured into a small clear cup without measurements and then poured onto the drink which made the volume of matcha inconsistent across drinks because of the guesstimation that goes into not having a scale to accurately measure. I wish they did whisk the matcha fresh because I feel like it would elevate the drinks. My matcha was bland, and my coffee was also not very strong. Many of their ingredients are store bought and it seems like only their strawberry puree is fresh. The waffle was very yummy, but once again I could tell that it was made with store bought likely hersheys sauce and also rediwhipped cream. I hope they can find their footing after the soft launch because there seems to be a lot of potential and the employees are very kind, but I don't think I'll be coming back. Also, the employees were inconsistent with wearing gloves and I noticed the male employee touch the opening sip part of multiple drink lids. read more
