I recently received some BOGO coupons for Morning Belle at a Rise volleyball game, so Nate and I stopped in for brunch on a Saturday. There are a handful of Morning Belle locations around town now, and they seem like they are continuing to grow. I consider this a local chain, and can appreciate the consistency and continuity of the brand. I like that the menu includes some healthier options (fiber! veggies!) as well as boozy drinks (spiked cold brew with your choice of alcohol!). It's called balance and I'm here for it. On my most recent visit, I got the truffle mushroom hash: roasted and sauteed Pebble Creek mushrooms, twice cooked redskin potatoes, caramelized onions, baby spinach, goat cheese, white truffle oil, chilled cherry tomatoes, and local microgreens, served with two eggs and choice of toast. Nate got the Morning Belle breakfast burrito: bourbon glazed shredded pork ends, sauteed mushrooms, roasted red peppers, twice cooked redskin potatoes, provolone, fried eggs, smoky chipotle aioli, served with a citrus arugula salad. Our food was very tasty and I especially loved the burrito! I will say I didn't notice any truffle flavor on my dish, which was okay, but since it's included in the name, I was expecting more there. The burrito was a large size, and we probably could have split it. We also got a couple of brunch drinks - a spiked cold brew and a beermosa. They were okay and a fun treat, but at $8-$10 not something I'd get every time. The vibe inside is airy, bright, and colorful, and our server was very kind and helpful. I've dined here for breakfast twice, both good experiences. Service was particularly good especially the first time as we had a large party with kids but they were very accommodating. They have seating both inside and outside on the sidewalk when the weather is nice. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time since it seems to be a popular spot. Overall, I like their food options ranging from classic staples to unique twists and usually they have a seasonal specials menu as well. We opted to split the farmers omelette, which was very good, and the French toast, which was just ok. I was disappointed they don't have hot espresso drinks (e.g., latte, cappuccino, etc.) just cold ones and regular coffee. But everything came out relatively quickly and our bill was reasonable. A $70 tab for one of the greasiest egg white omelets I've ever had with a cold and very dry cinnamon roll. Husband added the chicken to his omelet and maybe received 2oz which was the only topping on his omelet so was very disappointing. Daughter enjoyed her Belgian waffle but if you're looking for healthier options, go somewhere else. This place rocked, everything from the service to the fresh and natural atmosphere, to the fabulous food, I really struggle to think of any complaints from dining in her with my son and wife the other morning. I got the salmon toast which was phenomenal and a lavender lemonade and I got my son some fruit and a side of cheesy grits that he literally couldn't scarf down fast enough. I had the pleasure of trying brunch at Morning Belle and it was a lovely experience! My family and I had to wait about 25 minutes on the waitlist, but since it was downtown we decided to explore world of winter while we waited. As soon as we sat down, our waitress got our beverages. Even though they were busy, the waitresses were attentive to refilling our drinks. The food did take about 30 minutes to come out, but it's understandable since we came at a busy time. I got the morning belle omelette, my dad got their ribeye sandwich and my brother is basic so he got a cheeseburger. We all enjoyed our food and it was noticeable that they used fresh ingredients. I'm not much of a greens person, but I loved the way they seasoned the arugula on the ribeye sandwich. The decor was beautifully decorated with art and hanging wall plants. I also want to point out that they partnered with Kids Food Basket to raise money for the organization! They are also the first place I've been to that offers a free beverage if you paid for parking which is such a helpful feature especially parking downtown. read more

Morning Belle is a nice addition to the restaurants on Bridge Street. They have an option on their website to get in line so I would recommend checking that ahead of time if you don't want to wait for a table. We got there around 10 on a Sunday and there was no wait but by the time we left there were several groups waiting for a table. We were able to find free street parking just down the road but there is also a dash lot nearby for cheap paid parking if you prefer that. The waitress poured our coffee as soon as we sat down which was nice and I ordered a big glass of chocolate milk which was super tasty. Always so good with a Sunday brunch. I ordered the farmhand omelette and my mom had the morning belle omelet. We both liked our meals. Mine was listed as having shredded corned beef in it but it was just like slices of corned beef which was not as expected. The peppercorn gravy in it kinda overwhelmed the flavor of everything else but it was still good! The food came out extremely fast which was a plus and the servers were super nice. My mom kept commenting on how cute the place was. I would definitely come back here! My wife would have gone five stars but can't get past three being generous. My eggs were rubbery, the sausage seemed like under cooked premade grocery store sausage. The potatoes were amazingly good. Morning Belle has recently become one of my favorite brunch places! It's hard to say because of the location, or the spiked cold brew hehe;) This location is so close to where my boyfriend lives we've walked her a couple of times now because it's just too easy to get to and delicious! Each time I've been in, we've ordered the spiked cold brew! Love me some coffee with alcohol in it! Cannot go wrong:) They give you an option for alcohol and also the rim of the glass. I enjoy the Rumchata a cinnamon sugar rim to mine. Seriously run, don't walk for this! I've had the salmon Benedict and also a classic breakfast here and have not been disappointed. Everything is cooked well and each time we've ended our breakfast with a glazed cinnamon roll and it's perfect to split in two. The service has always been great here! Our hotel recommended this brunch spot when I asked about gluten free options in the area. My friend has Celiac, so I want to make sure the restaurants I choose are safe for her. We went at about 11:30am on a Monday. Plenty of metered street parking was available. The atmosphere was light and airy, with good music - not too loud. We were seated immediately and our server was incredibly responsive. When my friend mentioned Celiac, he said they would use all the precautions in the kitchen, including gloves. He brought a carafe of ice cold water so we were able to serve ourselves. I had the Oats and Toast, minus the bananas because bananas hate me. Today I tried the smoked salmon Benedict which has a gluten free option. This dish was absolute perfection!! Not only was it pretty, the eggs were poached beautifully and the yolks were oozey, there was a perfect amount of hollandaise, smoked salmon, and capers which can have a very overpowering taste but this was just right. The salad served with this dish was light, fresh, and slightly sweet from the balsamic reduction. A fine pairing for sure!! Service was great, food was great, but the coffee was extremely disappointing. It's advertised as an "ice latte" but it's actually cold brew concentrate and not espresso. As a former barista, it can't be an iced latte without espresso. So we paid money for an overpriced coffee that was advertised falsely and tasted like caramel milk instead of coffee. If you're looking for a good place to eat with good service, I'd go here. If you're looking for a coffee I suggest going somewhere else. read more

We came in for an Easter lunch and we're not disappointed. I used Yelp to sign us up via waitlist, but it was unnecessary. Staff was friendly and attentive. There are so many options on the menu, especially for those of us that LOVE breakfast food. I ordered The Gardener's Benedict. On rosemary focaccia bread was sun dried tomatoes, goat cheese, smashed avocado, basil (I think), a poached egg (more like a hard boiled egg), slathered in hollandaise sauce. Side was either a salad or the potatoes, obviously I chose potatoes. I only had two "issues" with my order - the egg was more like a hard boiled egg cut in half (which is on me for remembering to ask for it to be runny) and there was a LOT of hollandaise sauce, like a lot. But, it was good because I ate the whole dang thing (and I was hunnnngry!). They offer sriracha or Cholula - I went with cholula (no regrets!) My Gram ordered the Hummingbird Omelet. She really enjoyed it - took home half of it. It was full of ingredients (meat etc) and topped with smashed avocado. Her only "complaint" was that it needed some kind of sauce on top (she doesn't do hot sauces, so that was not a viable option for her). She loved the bread that came on the side, and they were nice thick slices. Decaf coffee was great. The vibe inside is fresh and bright, definitely a mood lifter. You can either scan your receipt to pay, or go up front and pay. Next time I'll have to try one of their brunch cocktails, they all looked delicious. Parking is what it is on Bridge, so I dropped my Gram at the front door (still hunting for handicap parking for Bridge Street eateries if the spots in front aren't available...). Morning Belle is a recent breakfast/brunch entrant to GR's west side and it fits the gentrified Bridge Street boutique scene perfectly. There's a sizable outdoor seating area, too, if al fresco breakfast is your thing (a pandemic inspired change, sure, but one that I hope restaurants are able to hang on to). We joined their waitlist online ahead of time, so we were seating upon arrival. Brenda brought water and took drink orders--she was great. Plenty of cheery chatter from the patrons at nearby tables. Coffee arrived soon after, and we were off to a great start. It was the kind of go-out-for-breakfast experience you want when you go out for breakfast. My major ding was the food I ordered. I'll admit this was my first visit, and I sampled only one entree. And it was a basic entree at that: their Classic breakfast #2 (two eggs, bacon, and a pancake). There were lots of more complicated options on the menu that doubtless are MB's bigger hits. But the eggs were over cooked for over-easy, and the pancakes weren't my jam. They were more like crepes--thin and lifeless and almost wet inside. Perhaps this is exactly what MB was going for and I'm simply not the target audience. I prefer pancakes that are light and fluffy and moist inside (e.g., Anna's House). Next time I'll try MB's fancier dishes and get pancakes and eggs elsewhere. Props, though, for using real maple syrup. I really looked forward to eating here, but I think my brain hype outstripped the experience. I really wish I loved this visit more.
