This means nothing fancy. Good people, good food, good prices. I think I can safely say this is literally the best corned beef hash ever. So over the top good with homemade corned beef. I wanted more. My wife had one of their Bennies. She loved it too. Next time we are in the area, we will try them for lunch.

The Culinary Institute of America. Our daughter actually graduated from their Baking & Pastry program in San Antonio, so we were already inclined to give the place a try. But I digress. The moment you walk in, the smell of bacon smacks you right in the face. In the best possible way. So. Dang. Good. We stopped in on a busy Sunday afternoon. The dining room was hopping. A few tables could have been bussed a little quicker, my chair needed a quick swipe-down before I sat, and there were a few chips hanging out on the floor. Normally I'd notice those things more, but then the bacon smell hit again and suddenly none of it seemed quite as important. I ordered two perfectly cooked over-medium eggs, sliced tomatoes (instead of potatoes), and a biscuit. I chose the biscuit over toast or an English muffin with absolutely no intention of eating it. My plan was to take it home for one of the kids. Then I took one bite. Friends, this was THE best biscuit I have ever eaten in my entire life. I don't throw around statements like that lightly. If you visit Banana River Cafe and order absolutely nothing else, order the biscuits. They deserve their own Yelp page. My husband got what I think was called the Power Bowl--a delicious-looking pile of rice, beans, carnitas, and all the ingredients that make a great burrito bowl. Our son absolutely housed his French toast. Our daughter ordered the Rosemary Chicken Salad Wrap with pasta salad. I sampled the chicken salad. It had a whisper of rosemary. A polite suggestion of rosemary. A rosemary cameo appearance. If you're going to call it Rosemary Chicken Salad, I'd personally vote for a little more rosemary. My daughter loved it, though. She also loved the pasta salad but wasn't a fan of the Parmesan sprinkled on top. If Parmesan must be involved, let's keep it to the kind that comes from a block and not the green plastic shaker. Just my two cents. The staff was friendly, service was great, and soda refills appeared before we even had to ask. I also loved the local artwork displayed throughout the restaurant. Every piece has a price tag, so if something catches your eye, you can literally take it home with you. Great food, great service, incredible biscuits, and enough bacon aroma to improve your mood instantly. We'll definitely be back.

The storefront is not anything special. However, the interior was quite nice though it was very small. There was capacity for perhaps 25 people or so inside and it was full when we visited on a Wednesday morning at about 10 AM. But there were also a couple of outside tables and we grabbed one of those to enjoy our food. In addition to bagels, they offered some enticing baked goods. Our grandson chose one of those items, a lovely, nice-sized cinnamon roll which he enjoyed very much. My wife and I both had the Breakfast Special "Eggle", which was an Egg, Meat and Cheese on a bagel. We chose bacon, though my wife skipped the cheese. My Everything bagel that I selected was particularly good. This was a great deal as the bagel was bundled with coffee for only $5. Overall, our expenditure for food, drink, tax and tip was about $20. This was a terrific deal by today's standards. The service here was excellent. The people working were efficient and quite friendly. If you are in the area and looking for a moderately-portioned cost-effective option compared to pricey hotel breakfasts, this is a pleasant choice. It's got a great local vibe with good food.

When I explained what I needed, she kindly helped me transition from phone conversation to an in person chat. I was fortunate enough to walk into this awesome bagel shop and not only fulfill the order but feel the stress melt away thanks to what is easily the best customer service I've gotten all year The bagels themselves were delicious and assorted ranging from Plane to raisin to blueberry varying kinds of melted cheeses and quality ingredients on the everything and everything asiago. Jerrica and Aaliyah greeted me and that everything I needed to purchase with exceeded expectations. It felt that they genuinely cared and were personable and amicable. This is the kind of customer service that keeps you coming back to support the business versus handing your money over to something random and faceless. The shop itself has a lot of personality and I love that. There's a lot of seating room and even first thing in the morning it's buzzing with energy with a welcoming feel that lets you know. People are choosing this place without hesitation at an early hour for a reason. I genuinely love Beachside Bagel World. I love the food. I love the service. I love the people there. I will undoubtedly be coming back and updating you all on more of the delicious menu options. This place has to offer. Don't think twice and come on in

Unfortunately today was a really bad day! I called and told the woman on the phone we want to eat under the pergola. She said we aint got that. I responded on your deck with the plants. She said we ain't got a deck. Have you ever been here? I said yes many times. I just want to eat our food on the patio under the pergola. She said I don't even know what that is. I explained, but then I said we would like to order an orange soda with cups. She said we dont do that on the phone. You can do that when u get here, we dont do that on the phone... Okay? We arrive i go in to pay. I ask if the bathrooms are available, she said no we don't let customers use them. I said Im sorry I know last time we were where here they were under construction, but we need to use the bathroom and wash our hands. She responded we don't let anyone use them. I told her thats a violation and you cannot deny a paying customer a bathroom. She said she would ask. I asked if the owner was around. She said I am the owner and my mom is here. She went to ask and never came back. I stood there for a few mins. Realized I never ordered a large soda for the table. Still she never came back. She went outside to talk to her man instead that was outside. I peered over to a familiar face (blonde lady, very sweet always). I told her I wanted to buy a soda. She came around. Then as I walked out I peered through the open door to the kitchen and I asked if her and the other lady ( who is also the owner, never met her. Only the gentleman who is probably her husband?).(male owner i have met handful of times is very nice). Anyway they told me like the daughter at the counter to use the restroom next door. (Same as a few weeks ago). I wouldn't have even cared even though annoyed about the bathroom like the last time if it wasn't for the daughter's crap attitude from the phone call to paying... plus the daughters boyfriend that was outside smoking a blunt look strung out! So yeaaa great experience of 50, 60 dollars!!!!!!!! And the plants are slowly dying. Sad bc it was gorgeous for a while. Not a great experience. Still have four stars for the years of a nice time til the last two and especially this last time! I will be there again in the future with the family but I will make sure I do the same time (early lunch) to not run into issues at hand this time.

The customer service is always so friendly and fun. The patio is by far our favorite beachside patio. And the live music is SO GOOD! Unfortunately, there won't be a fourth…read more The first two times I came in, I sat at the bar for roughly 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging me, much less taking an order. Both times, I finally gave up and left. Tonight I decided to give it one more try. It's beachfront, it's a beautiful location, and I really wanted to like this place. I ordered the salmon, which was around $30. It was so dry I couldn't eat it, and it tasted freezer-burned to me. The sauce tasted manufactured rather than fresh, the rice was fine, and the green beans were completely bland. I took essentially one bite and stopped eating. What made it worse was the service. My virtually untouched dinner sat in front of me for several minutes without anyone checking to see whether everything was okay....even though the restaurant was not remotely busy and appeared to have plenty of staff. I also ordered a spicy skinny margarita, which was surprisingly syrupy-sweet. I drank it because I wasn't about to let perfectly good tequila go to waste, but it wasn't a good margarita. To their credit, when someone finally came over and I explained that I couldn't eat the salmon, they removed the entrée from my bill. I appreciated that and think it's important to mention it. But three visits tell a story. Twice I couldn't get served at all. The third time I finally got served, but the food, cocktail, and attentiveness were all disappointing. For a beachfront restaurant at this price point, I simply expect better. Great location, enormous potential, but based on my three experiences, I won't be back. The best thing that happened tonight was meeting a fellow writer sitting next to me at the bar. Unfortunately, Tide & Tonic can't take credit for that. It gets a 1 star as bartender was so very sweet about it all.
