Great place for breakfast.., I recommend any of their egg dishes, good food, quick service, friendly atmosphere

For 16, 17, $18+ prices you expect 16, 17, $18+ food. I personally had the chicken and waffles with scratch gravy and eggs, and my girlfriend had the skirt steak benedict thing. They got her order wrong and we were served a different meal with skirt steak. That steak was pretty good actually, would've been better if it was the right order. Besides that I want to talk about the chicken and waffles, priced at like 17$ so just know I'm not making a huff out of some fast breakfast restaurants food. The plating on that meal was inefficient, plated in a way that makes the waffles soggy fast, not to mention they don't crisp up the waffle at all so it didn't take long for it get soggy, basically by the second bite I took. Now the chicken; while full of good juices the chicken was cooked very well yet lacked so much flavor. There wasn't much seasoning on it so it was pretty bland, I only tasted the oil it was cooked in. Lastly, the gravy, the greatest atrocity from our order. It was flavorless, if you were to scale the flavor of a typical biscuits and gravy at a "First Watch" for example, this was only 50% flavor, maybe even less. It didn't help the chicken elevate the flavor or create new combination flavors, it was a weak plate for 17$ give or take a dollar. The worst part honestly is that if this was bad I wanted the biscuits and gravy, however after trying the gravy I saw that getting another meal wasn't necessary for me. It's like between 2.5 and 3 stars, I hope they improve because they have the capabilities to be a really good place. Was nervous to come here for breakfast after having read a lot of the reviews. I got the Cali eggs Benedict and was not impressed. My food was a bit cold. It was absolutely a delight to be here on a Sunday morning. It was vibey afternoon, the city and the weather were beautiful. And the food was absolutely delicious. Great selection on Arizona egg dishes, all of which are really good. Pancake was also very good. Portion size was large. Incredibly, I couldn't finish mine. Went here for breakfast while visiting Phoenix!! Wanted to try the Chilaquiles but wasn't sure if it would be too much food. Went with the OG French Toast and side of bacon. The BACON was Fi! The FT was okay, nothing spectacular but okay. Service was fine, seated quickly, food out in about 10-15ish minutes. This is definitely as shareable meal. The only complaint, which the manager took care of was I had "lip prints" on my water cup/glass, yep, they were NOT mine as I use straws. The waitress and manger were nice about it. My wife and I came to meet some friends who had brought their dog, so we sat on the outside patio. The heater didn't work, so we spent the whole meal freezing (it was December and 50 degrees outside). The place was not busy at all, but the wait staff only came out to take our order and 30 minutes later to deliver our food (a long wait considering we were the only customers). We all had ordered coffees yo keep us warm and no one came out to give us refills or to check on how we're doing. We had to get our second choices because they had no avocados! What? What do you mean a restaurant in Phoenix has no avocados? Maybe this is a great place and we came at a bad time, but we did not have a good experience. read more

Cool, fresh and bright. Really enjoyed the aesthetic of this joint. Our server was upbeat, friendly, and attentive. Cappuccino and coffee arrived quickly and our order was delivered efficiently, as well. My husband enjoyed his chicken and waffles. The gravy on my biscuits was decent but unfortunately the biscuits were dry, slightly overcooked and the potatoes lacked heat and flavor. I just had breakfast there for the first time. I arrived around 8:30 on Sunday morning and was seated promptly. Service was top notch. The stuffed churro French toast was OMG incredible! I had a side of turkey sausage which was also really good. You would not believe it was turkey unless they told you. The cold brew was also very good. The only "negative" was they did not have simple syrup for the ice coffee, only flavored syrups. I used sugar and it was ok. If you are looking for a really good breakfast spot in downtown Phoenix at reasonable prices this place should be at the top of your list. read more

Got a Bloody Mary which was very tasty and good! I loved it. And for food I ordered the eggs Benedict carne asada. It was a tad too salty for my liking but overall not a bad meal. I came in one time and saw a rat run across the restaurant. I didn't know want to make a big deal about it until then my food was cold, no flavor in the omelettes and slow staff I asked for my check immediately. this place just isn't what it used to be. it has to be somewhere in ownership or management. however I did think the bald guy in black who stared me down while spacing out into abyss had something to do with hospitality because that was super unpleasant. it's also sad to watch management be so obsessed with their business be in complete and utter disgrace. To know you're not making money constantly but is unwilling to make changes. I've been here twice this month. After brunch with a girlfriend, had to bring the whole family. Lattes were amazing, food was delicious. Cute little vibe. The one star is for the food. While the food was delicious, there is no way I would come back to this place because it just isn't worth it. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out there was a complete lack of customer service. One of the hostesses couldn't be bothered with helping to seat us. Our server while friendly enough basically never returned after taking our food order even after being asked for more napkins and coffee. No we never received either. When our food was delivered, we had no silverware so I asked the hostess stand if they could possibly help us out and I was informed that they knew that and the dishwashers were working on it, even though there was silverware sitting right in front of them clean. I had to explain that we had food and needed silverware so we could eat it before they would give me some. As we were leaving what's happening at the front? Approximately four employees sitting and chatting while the few servers are running around like crazy. Seems to me there's a lack of understanding of how a restaurant works.
