Extremely disappointed at the quality of service at Morningside Nail Bar and cannot recommend to anyone. Came in one morning looking to get SNS and although it wasn't busy at all, I was rushed into picking a color. I wasn't able to see all of the colors that were even available?? This was only the beginning of my unpleasant experience. My nail tech cut my nail bed so bad I am still in pain hours later and she did not clean the wound at all when it happened. Not to mention I asked for a little trim and she chopped my nails down as short as they could possibly go. Im really disappointed because I waited weeks to grow them out! This experience from beginning to end was uncomfortable and the nail tech continued to ask abrasive questions like where I get my nails done, why I don't come here, and how much i paid for SNS elsewhere? I feel as though getting nails done should be a fun treat yourself moment but this was far from it and I will not be back. $64 down the drain. read more

Terrible experience. All the length off my natural nails were aggressively filled down, to the point where it was painful. Same for my toes. Then my cuticles were clipped and the guy drew blood! There's a chunk of my nail bed gone and it has been sore all day. The only positives are the color choices and cleanliness of the salon. Never again. read more

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!?! GOT THE WORST gel pedicure I have EVER had in my life. He did not push back cuticles or clean around or under edge of nails. Gel polish was THICK AND GLOPPY and all over my cuticle. He only put each coat under one round of the UV light and so it did not harden. I can literally push my fingernail into it and make a dent. The best nail salon in the south buckhead Lindbergh area hands down! I moved from the west side area to buckhead last year and it was extremely hard to find a good nail salon! You would think buckhead would be upto Date on the latest trends but that is so wrong. Most nail salons in The area are extremely outdated and unexperienced in the latest nail trends! If you're looking forward to getting the gel chrome nails offered here DO NOT waste your time or money! The chrome applicate is an additional $25 up charge for a full set ($5 a nail if not) on top of whatever service you're getting done and automatically requires that you get a black gel base color ($21 no manicure) so a minimum charge of $46 for a full set of chrome nails. Now that you've decided to pay a million dollars for these be sure to make you actually get the color you requested, they will legitimately paint your nails the wrong color and when you question it Jennifer will lie to your face and say that it's the right color the sample nail color is just "old and faded". Really told me I didn't know my colors :l Okay I'll accept that you don't have the right color but don't lie to me. Cool so moving on I get a different color, which now doesn't match my toes, and they look good Day 1 approximately 5:30PM... Day 2, 6:42AM the paint on my right hand thumb has already chipped off significantly, to the point that you can clearly see the black gel polish and I'm looking ratchet all day after paying $50+ with tip on my hands alone. So of course I go back, they fix it, stating that the wrong top coat was used and they should be good to go and of course Jennifer chastises my technician who has obviously done a poor job and wasted everyone's time. Cool cool cool, so your girl heads off to Bonaroo redo Day 2...1. I run into someone with the exact nail color I had originally requested that Jennifer told me 2 days previously was an old and faded version of the color they gave me - they are two completely different colors (see pics, note the other girls nails are slayed and NOT chipping one day later) 2. By 9:30ish PM guess what?!? of course my right thumb have chipped off again in same location...not cool I'm out of state at an event and my nails that I spent a good chunk of money on and now 2 days of time back to back to get fixed look like trash. Day 3, the nails are worst, not my index and middle fingers have become discolored as the "new better" top coat is lifting itself (see pics). I'm pissed at this point so of course after returning from Roo, Day 4 I go back in to speak to Jennifer about these whack nails and a refund, she happens to not be there and the current day manager Tiffany proceeds to offer to have the nails fixed again - excuse me, I'm no clown, we've tried this before and it didn't work and the purpose for the nails has already passed. Then she offers to give me a gift certificate for the amount of nails, like why would I ever want to come back here?!?!? You all lied to me about the color I wanted and are clearly incompetent at doing nails. No ma'am I want my money back! She then tells me I have to come back tomorrow when Jennifer is in so she can call in the refund, um no ma'am I will not after coming in 3 times in 5 days! I finally get her to agree to have Jennifer refund the amount and call me afterwards. Okay the situation should be done and over right? Nope, 2-3 days later I review my account to ensure my money has been refunded and to my surprise I was only refunded $25, the up charge amount to the chrome applicate, of course they're now trying to cheat me out of a full refund. So now I have to waste more time to call Jennifer once again to inquire as to why the full amount was not refunded only to be told "Oh well you still got a gel polish and the owner Mr. Chang (sp?) said to only refund the chrome" Bishhhhhh you required that I get a black gel base in order to get the chrome done???? Like I definitely didn't come in to get black nails I came for chrome and got sh!t. So she's all I can't do anything about it, but I'll have the owner call you... This man had the audacity to call me say same rehearsed speech Jennifer gave only now offering to change the color. So I told him no sir, that is not satisfactory cause you don't give your customers the choice of not getting the black gel and that I'd be there in person to speak to him in 30 minutes. Approximately 25-30 minutes later as I'm nearing the exit for Morningside Nail Bar, here comes Jennifer calling to pretend like she did me a favor by finally agreeing to refund gel portion of the nails like it wasn't owed to me. This situation was so drawn out and handled so poorly they've definitely lost a customer and I hope this helps others not make the same poor choice and waste money. read more

since moving in the area I saw great reviews about this place and decided to give it a try I've been coming for about 3 months recently I did not like how I had an appt and slot was taking by someone else causing me to be late to my next place to go, I decided to go back in three weeks to give another try and the same thing happen! I had to get a basic set which I never do. the guy in front gave me a shot not asking if I was of age or pregnant ( I did not take ) he tired to make it seem like it was okay to skip my appt. I was give the ppl twice to correct the mistake but the second time was a no go I was sitting for almost one hr waiting, I even got a pedicure to let time go by my feet were done and my hands WERE NEVER STARTED I HAD TO GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. I tried two others places here and both were horrible thick nails that l wanted to take off the min I left.. I found Morningside and the reviews made me give them a try and they sooooo didn't disappoint ... Lynn was attentive on my nails with great shaping perfection as far as to what I requested ... Stacy gave the best cleaning on my pedicure and the massage ever! I also walked in and only waited a short 5 mins which in my opinion anyone that walks in should expect to wait with no appointment it was no problem. Really 3.25 but I'm rounding way up because they have potential to be a 4. Not sure why requesting a regular manicure makes me a second class citizen but I had to ask for a beverage. I've been going to this nail bar for pedicures since it opened and unfortunately the last few times I've gone the service left a lot to be desired. The last time was the worst. The woman started 3 weeks ago and not sure anyone trained her. I had to ask her to remove my polish fully after she did less than a minute lotion massage and then she started to shape and work on my toes again for as long as she did the first round! I've been faithfully going to Morningside nail bar for 2 years now and I've absolutely loved every experience. The inside is well decorated and spacious, which is relaxing in itself. But the staff is always warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Now their nail work? Yes. I'm a bartender but I like long nails so I'm quick to break a nail, but they remember and make my nails extra thick but not in an ew way. I've been twice since the pandemic started and felt very comfortable with the distance between guests and the sanitation of the staff. read more

I don't even know where to begin, I left almost in tears because of how disappointed I was, I've never been to a nail salon where over 4 people work on you. I came in with my girlfriend who was helped by KY, great on her toes she is a plain Jane gets clear. Nancy worked on my toes and was marvelous I really thought this was gonna be THE Spot! Then Nancy gets up and says that the woman at the front will be finishing my nails ( the host) confused but I went with it, I had read great reviews on TRACY, NOT. I thought she was doing a great job until she said she finished and my cuticles looked like they had been assassinated. They looked hideous they made my nails look hideous she lifted all of my cuticles and left them like that and on top of it all she tells me that the hostess is again going to finish my hands after she finishes my toes. St this point I was upset! I tell her I want my cuticles cut and she goes to KILLING my bands I have 5-6 cuts and am currently RE CUTTING my cuticles. I had to get out of there it was a wreck. Wine is old btw, you can taste it. This was by far the worst experience If i were to ever come back it would be for Nancy's number so she can do my nails on the side.
