Solid spot in the Boston Common. We had the King combo (beef tagine with yellow rice and pineapple BBQ/white garlicky sauce). The beef was very soft, the mixed beans side was served cool but also quite good, generous sauces. Quick & friendly service and I think a reasonable price for the portion (1 order ~$15.50 fed two people for lunch). They also had a build-your-own bowl option where you could pick the protein (eg. chicken, tofu, beef, lamb, falafel), sauce (eg. white garlic, spicy harissa, etc), base (eg. couscous, yellow rice, cauliflower), and side (eg. mixed greens, corn, chickpeas). read more

Amazing! The first time I tried them was through a Yelp event and I liked the food so much that I've obviously gone back whenever we're in the Boston Public Market. Counter service as are most places in the Market. There was a line when we went on a Saturday afternoon but it moved quickly because everything is ready, the food just needed to be assembled. We got three bowls to share - Prince, Princess, Queen. The first two had chicken and the third had tofu. Interestingly the tofu was a scrambled version and was great. Everything was yummy and even though there were similar elements in every bowl (ie rice, sauces), there was still a flavor difference because of the toppings (ie jalapeno chickpeas, roasted beets, sweet corn). If you're looking for a spicy bowl, the Prince is what you should go for. We had a couple of kids in the party who found the bowl to be too spicy so we returned to buy a side of the yellow rice but the server said they cannot sell rice as a side. That's the only reason to drop a star. I feel like it's easy enough to list a side of rice for like $3? Or make an exception if someone requests it? Easily a top favorite lunch spot at the Boston Public market! Tender, slow, cooked lamb And the spicy Moroccan chicken are my favorites! A bowl will fill you up, and it comes with a side. I like the chickpeas. There are a few different sauces to pick from, garlic sauce is the most popular, but I prefer The Red spicy sauce instead. I was excited to try this place after seeing the high after seeing how highly rated it was. There were a lot of options on the menu so I was taking a minute to really decide what I wanted. The man serving was helpful and asking questions and also patient with me. He helped me to create the bowl I wanted. Upon eating it, it was cool, not mind blowing good, but also not bad. I really liked the spicy chickpeas, which I was actually uncertain about when putting in, but he assured me that they were really good. I will say that it was pretty expensive coming out at $16 which I don't think I would purchase again at this price point then again I'm from out of town and Boston prices may just be a little more than I'm used to. read more

After going to RMV, you need to eat something. I chose this place and am glad I did. First off its Halal. Major points. Secondly, they are fast. I chose the King. The beef was decent, pretty flavorful and juicy. I got half and half yellow rice and couscous, and I thought those were just okay. The jalapeno chickpeas were delicious. The harissa BBQ/white garlicky sauce was also pretty good. The composition of the bowl was a bit off - it felt way too carb heavy and didn't have enough sides/veggies. I would have appreciated more jalapeno chickpeas or something else to balance out the bowl. It definitely was a LOT of food, which was great value. But the meal left me feeling carbed out, and craving some veggies. Tl;dr pretty good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have it again. Very tasty, healthy Moroccan food inside the Boston Public Market. Service was fast and friendly. Prices were reasonable. Food was fresh, high quality and the portions are large. We had two orders of the Prince bowl, one on saffron rice and one on couscous. Both were excellent. The chicken was well cooked and had a good level of spice to it. The saffron rice was amazing. I love chickpeas but thought it was a little strange to have jalapeno chickpeas at a Moroccan restaurant. But they were fantastic. The spice level was pretty hot, but it worked well with the saffron rice. If you got a bite of the chickpeas with the chicken, along with some of the incredible harissa and white garlicky sauce served on the chicken and rice, it had some real kick. The garlicky sauce helped to moderate it somewhat. Overall, this is one of the best bowls of any kind, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern or otherwise, that I've ever had. Cava is very good for what you can put together there in one of their custom bowls, but this place beats anything I've had at Cava. The food went well with a couple beers from The Pine Bar, also in the Boston Public Market. read more

*FOOD* I got the couscous with sweet lamb and chickpeas topped with garlic and harissa sauces. I wasn't super confident getting the lamb but wow I'm so happy I got it. It fell apart beautifully (see video!) and had wonderful flavor. The couscous was a great compliment to the lamb, and was very moist. I wasn't a big fan of the jalapeño flavor of the chickpeas with the rest of my selection, so next time I'd probably get a different side. The guys running the stand were quick and helpful, ensuring if I was l vegan or not depending on the sauces I ordered which I found thoughtful. I dug into the food and was almost done before I realized I hadn't taken a picture. I was able to find a quiet table and enjoy the plentiful portion of food. What a delightful eatery! It reminds me of chipotle/cava in the build-your-own department . I chose the couscous, lamb, beets bowl topped with the pineapple and garlicky sauces . On a late Sunday morning, I decided to try out Mo'Rockin Fusion in the Boston Public Market for lunch. Arriving at 11:15, I saw no line, put in my order, and received it in minutes. My order, the Sultan ($17.07 post-race), consisted of lamb, yellow rice, jalapeno chickpeas, spicy harissa and white garlic sauce. The chickpeas, thanks to the japaleno, possessed a smoky pepper flavor, almost closer to chipotle. It also had a touch of heat, but not as much as the harissa. The spicy harissa and white garlic sauce helped meld the dish together, so I did not feel like I was eating lamb, rice, and chickpeas separately. The garlic sauce lived up to its name, but did not overpower the rice bowl. The lamb seemed well-seasoned, almost stewed. Luckily for me, I received a fresh batch of lamb that just came out of the oven. Overall, I felt quite satisfied with the dish. The price point, on par with white-collar office lunch places, seemed reasonable, especially considering how filling the rice & chickpeas proved. read more

This place is located in the Boston Public Market, which is almost like a fancier farmers market downtown. The food is great, and the dude who runs it is really nice and friendly. Great experience! I actually ran into the owner while I was there, and he had explained that their lobster rolls are unique in the sense that they actually toss their lobster meat in a pan with butter. You can really taste it. Buttery lobster heaven. Would definitely come again if I'm back in Boston. I could probably eat ten of those hot buttered lobster rolls in one sitting and have no regrets.
