WiFi! WiFi!!! In this cell service and broadband dead zone, WiFi (albeit slow one) is a welcoming sight. The cafe has lots of pastries, sandwiches, ice cream, wine and beer available. The outside semi shaded patio is pet friendly. Service is absolutely friendly! Staff is so nice to offer our dogs water and snack. If you decide to suck up the bandwidth like I did, please buy more than a cheap cup if coffee and support these nice folks.

Extremely slow and confused service. The Individual who helped us at the register had to ask for our order twice at the register and then came out again after we were seated to take it again. After all this the person preparing our food had to come out and ask us what we had ordered for 2 of the three orders. The food was ok, but the experience was somewhat spoiled by the bumbling ineffectiveness of the staff

Friends recommended this little gift shop and bakery and they were right. It's a great place to grab a sandwich, a drink and enjoy some fresh baked goods. The cherry cheese danish was exceptional!

I loved this place and frankly, although great Mexican food in Tucson is a given, I didn't know they had good barbeque too. They had all my favorites, so my wife and I decided to split the The Big "Q" Platter for $38. This included Brisket, Pulled Pork, Tri-tip, Sausage, Turkey, two St. Louis Style Pork Ribs, and 4 slices of toast with our choice of two eight-ounce sides (we chose the baked beans and coleslaw. My favorites were the Ribs, Brisket, Tri-tip, and baked beans. The turky was solid and smokey. I'm not really a fan of sausage, but my wife enjoyed these. I loved that you could really taste the smokey taste and that everything was fresh, juicy, and tender. The baked beans were the kind of love, with pieces of pork throughout the mixture. Because we split this platter (with leftovers), it was quite a good deal. When the bill came, the waitress listed a bunch of things that qualified for an extra discount, so we scored an additional 10% off for being seniors. If I lived in Tucson, this place would be on my regular restaurant rotation, which is high praise indeed!

Rejecting my wife and two kids and willfully losing out on revenue twenty minutes before the restaurant actually closes is completely unacceptable. I hope management starts paying closer attention to how their staff treats incoming patrons. Your food might be good, but you are not that special. Show some respect to your customers. Dark beams, creaky floors, mounted longhorns, and a massive old Brunswick backbar that probably has more stories than half the regulars. Walking in feels like stepping onto a movie set, except the beer is cold and the people are real. The menu is refreshingly short: burgers, a couple sandwiches, green-chile stew, and usually a burrito or enchilada plate. Nothing fancy, but everything is made in-house and tastes like it. We were bummed they were 86'd on the beef burrito the day we went but the cheeseburger more than made up for it. Hand-formed patty, properly griddled with crisp edges, good cheddar, fresh toppings, and a toasted bun that held together. Fries were hot and salty. Service is friendly in that small-town "you're not a stranger for long" way. Prices are fair, the patio dogs are welcome, and there's live music on weekends that somehow never drowns out conversation. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Patagonia, make the detour. Grab a stool at the ancient bar, order whatever they still have left, and soak in one of the most authentic saloons southern Arizona has left.

On Tuesday, 7 April 2026, this establishment committed a Class 2 Misdemeanor by refusing service to a veteran, his family, and his service animal. The reason, they apparently didn't think the "dog was a registered Service Dog". Folks, there is no "registry" of service animals, nor can an establishment ask this question. Under the ADA and Arizona Statute A.R.S 11-1024, denial of access is a Class 2 misdemeanor. And, this establishment, and another in Patagonia, committed that crime. There are EXACTLY two questions that can be asked of a service animal handler. One, "is this animal required for a disability". The answer in this case was "yes". Two, "what specific task or tasks is the animal trained for". This question was answered. It's not funny, it's discrimination. Against a disabled veteran and his family. And it's illegal. If I were a Patagonian, I'd probably avoid this establishment. I mean, if they can't follow simple ADA and Arizona statutes, what else are they violating? Food safety rules? How would we know? When next in Sonoita I was going to visit Patagonia. Now I have no motivation to. In my personal opinion, protected by the First Amendment, this is not an establishment worth patronizing. Shame on the owner, who claims the dog wasn't "registered". Either you, your staff, or both broke the law. Wonder how that's going to work out?

You order at a counter here and the line was a bit long, but moved in good time. To say the place is basic is an understatement. Staff is friendly and efficient so things do move along. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a spicy mac and cheese side, plus a lemonade. It came as a 'meal' with one price, and on the higher price side too. After sitting down the meal arrived pronto, in almost a shockingly short time. So they obviously have it down pat. The sandwich was just OK. A bit dry and on a plain bun it didn't hit the mark. The sauce was not that impressive either. Ths side of mac and cheese was slightly better, but not as spicy as I had hoped. It gets rave reviews from the locals. Hmmm. I'd try this place again but it's not going to rise above being what it is, a simple and rather underwhelming BBQ joint.

Everyone we interacted with was kind, courteous, and tried to be helpful. Unfortunately, the food was very underwhelming. We ordered the burger with mac & cheese, a French dip sandwich, biscuits and gravy, chili cheese fries, zucchini fries, and drinks for two adults and two kids. None of us finished our meals. My son's mac & cheese had a pool of oil underneath it, the biscuits and gravy left a greasy film on the roof of our mouths, the cheese on the chili cheese fries tasted very artificial, and the zucchini fries were slimy. I also found a piece of brown paper in my food. I showed it to the staff, and they apologized. They told me they would remove the meal from the bill and even offered me a cinnamon roll for the inconvenience, which I initially accepted because I appreciated the gesture. However, when I went to pay, I realized they had only discounted the meal by half instead of removing it entirely. At that point, everything kind of fell apart for me. I no longer wanted the cinnamon roll because I was genuinely disappointed with the entire experience. I didn't argue about it because the staff had been very kind, it had already taken quite a while just to pay, and I needed to leave. Another surprise was the pricing. The menu made it seem like the meals came with a side, but we were charged separately for each one. The drinks were around $4 each, even for the kids. Our total came to $73 before the partial discount and was still about $65 afterward. I understand this isn't meant to be gourmet dining, and I'm usually perfectly happy with simple diner food if it tastes good. Unfortunately, this just didn't. It was one of those meals where you leave thinking, "Well, I ate," but not feeling like you actually enjoyed it. For the price, it was especially disappointing. I honestly feel like we could have had a better meal almost anywhere else for less money even somewhere like McDonald's, and I'm not a fan of McDonald's. I truly appreciate how friendly and accommodating the staff were, which is why I'm giving more than one star. I just hope the food quality and value improve because the service deserves better than the food that's being served.
