Got told the alternator I replaced less than a year ago wasn't charged enough and therefore the computers didn't give any codes. So with no codes, and then not even looking beyond it, i got charged $158 for nothing. Took it to AutoZone and they said everything was fine with the charge. Lost a cylinder in a 2015 Tahoe that had 125,000 miles+ Now this part is important. Deer season always opens November the 15th in Michigan, a National holiday for me. Pete: Your engine is gone and has to be replace. Dave: I have to be in Michigan the 15th for deer season. Pete: That's not going to happen.....let me call Dallas and see if they even have an engine for your Tahoe. We were a go that afternoon taking the old out with a new engine coming Tuesday. Now you do the math. That was a Monday and and I drove into the Lodge 3:00 Saturday afternoon and it's 1250 miles up there. It was a long trip because I kept thinking something would breakdown. Right out of the chute, up and back 2500 miles, no problems. Now, Pete can't do that every time but he can make it right every time. We needed repair service on a gas tank for a work van. Morris Auto Service not only helped us, they went the extra mile and instead of just having the gas tank cleaned, they saved us time and money by having us replace the tank. wow, reading some of these reviews makes me thankful that this wasn't even more costly. I had a good experience with Carlos getting my car inspected, so I sent my boyfriend over for his car issue. while it was onsite someone stole an item of sentimental value from his truck. Carlos was adamant that this was vandalism (with no evidence of locked doors being broken into) and not stolen by one of his employees. He did say he would check on it, but hasn't bothered to call him back. I understand this is word against word, but it doesn't even seem like this was taken seriously. on top of this all, he paid for an electronic diagnostic seemingly without anyone even opening the hood. thats another story. 5/2/2022 UPDATE STAY AWAY FROM HERE. This shop cost me an un-needed $1600 bill from the dealership. When I went back to Morris to get the proper wheel bearing installed, I was told it was a Honda part. With this in mind, my TPMS sensor was still an issue. Given Morris had previously told me this was not something they address ("go see Discout Tire to have it reset" they told me after the first bearing install), and this I was told they were installing a Honda bearing this time, I went back to the dealership. Honda and I were under the impression that a Honda part had been installed. They contiued to diagnose the issue and believed the problem to be in the ABS module. Honda installed the new module, programed to my VIN for $1600. I took the car home and again had a TPMS light. Back to Honda. They got into the replaced wheel bearing and found it had not been replaced with a Honda OEM by Morris, as I had been promised!!!!! Morris takes no ownership for the un-needed $1600 spend. They said they will refund the cost of the original work but, I have called weekly for about a month and I have been given every excuse as to why they do not have a check for me as a refund. I have held off on posting this story for several months to give them a chance to make things right. They are not people of their word. BUYER BEWARE!!!! 12/2021 UPDATE I did have some follow up issues that required me to bring my car back and have an OEM bearing assembly installed instead of the aftermarket. Morris did so without complaint and not additional charges. Once again, they had me in and out in a very short time. Three stars only because the problem went on for a couple of months before it was fairly resolved. Original Post 8-2021 this is a locally owned and operated shop in Keller. I have tried a bunch of these shops all around town over the last 9 years since moving here. None have been all that impressive with their honesty and service. Morris was a better experience. I needed to have the rear passenger wheel bearing replaced. I brought it to Morris. The work was done very quickly and the pricing was very fair. Finally!! read more

I just had an unbelievable experience at Morris Auto Service. I was told by another mechanic that I needed more than $4,000 in repairs; just for parts. I knew right away that this was bogus because I went on line and found the parts only cost ~$200. So I went to talk to Pete of Morris Auto and he said he would take a look at my car and see what was needed. Not only was his estimate 1/4 the other estimate but it was using all new parts. After taking a look at my car he found no reason to make any repairs to these parts and he said that cars sometimes need these particular parts repaired after 150,000 miles and my car only has 70,000 miles. Pete just saved me more than $4000. I would guess that this auto service is extremely busy since I don't think you can find a more honest man. I will definitely go back for any and all auto repairs. These people are crooks... they said my car was "completely done" and I got a second look and they were able to start it right up. Seems kinda fishy to me. I am a girl that knows nothing about cars and for them to claim my Audi was basically "done" and would never work again is crazy. Also my brother went there and they charged him like $300 for breaks and other things he said no and took it to the dealership thAt ended up to be $50 and he didn't need whatever they were trying to charge him. I am so satisfied with this place. I was given a quote on my car by another Keller car service place that was three times higher than what this place quoted me. I was astonished. Hubby picked my car up and said he saw an older lady in there that started crying after getting her quote. Not tears of sadness, but JOY. I don't live in Keller, but I was in town looking at a used car. I needed a trustworthy mechanic to inspect it. Not only did the guys at Morris stick around for 15 minutes after their closing time and save me a bunch of money by pointing out issues that I would have missed, but they also refused to let me pay them. They saw the service as a courtesy, and I practically had to force them to take what little cash I had on me. I wish I had a mechanic like this in my neighborhood. read more

After 122,000 miles on my sequoia, I finally had something go out and need replacing on it. I took it to a place in roanoke and they charged me $69 to diagnose it and were then going to charge $1700 to fix it. I made a call to Morris and explained what the diagnosis was and the price I was quoted and they said that was very high and that they could definitely take a quick look and diagnose it and quote me for no charge... so I ran it over and they agreed on the diagnosis, but quoted me $1100 to fix the part. They had it fixed and back to Normal very quickly, were so kind and so honest throughout the process, I will use them from now on. They saved me $600! So happy I got a second quote! The guy fixed the car ( apparently it was a cosmetic damage) within 5-10 minutes and when I wanted to pay him, he refused to take any money. After I finally got my car back and after taking him to Small Claims Court, which he had a lawyer ( uh huh) and I of course couldn't afford one, so it was those two against me, by myself and to top it off he LIED in court, I absolutely couldn't believe that!! If I would of had an attorney things would of came out much better, because I didn't know what to do when he started lying. The judge did not rule in any ones favor. My car broke down completely on the side of 183, just died, dead engine!!! Had to get it towed home, which it sat out in front of the house for 3 months because I didn't have any money for more repairs. I just still cannot believe this man was paid $4500 to fix my car and it took MONTHS and a month later it completely dies on me. We were told he was putting in a new engine and he put in a used engine. I'm sorry but a used engine is not $4500!! I went round and round with this place, it was a NIGHTMARE, to say the least! I ended up selling it to a close friend for his son's first car and he went to have the engine repaired from a mechanic, a trust worthy and reliable one that he uses on all his vehicles and that mechanic said there was NO WAY that a new engine was ever installed, it was USED!! Replying to their comment on yelp, the only thing he said when I went to pick it up, which was many times, he said "if you have any problems with it bring it back to me in a week and I'll take a look at it" he NEVER said its imperative you bring it back in a week, so I can change out the break in oil...NEVER!! read more
