My wife was driving her car on Hwy 160. I was about ten minutes behind her in a U-Haul as we were heading to Sacramento to clear out a garage. The driver's side rear brake seized. Fortunately the car stopped about 20 feet from Morris Motors. My wife was really upset, but we felt lucky her car stopped so close to a repair shop. I spoke with Sutton Morris and he told me to park the car in front so he could take a look at the car. Sutton's shop is full of magnificent cars. The shop specializes in European makes and classic cars. Inside, I saw not only repairs being done, but also total restorations. When Sutton spoke about cars, you knew he knows his craft. I really appreciated his kind demeanor and professional bearing. I love older cars, so learning more from Sutton was an added satisfaction. I travel this road all the time and have never stopped to check out the cars in the shop. This was a serendipitous time for me. We not only got my wife's brakes fixed at a reasonable price, but the repairs were nothing less than awesome. He and his staff completed the repair before we returned around 4:30 pm. I had noticed this shop in passing as it was on my commute home most days. Loved seeing the awesome cars people brought in, exotics and classics, cars people love. I knew they must be good if these type of cars were traveling far and wide to get here! On a drive home my serpentine belt broke due to a seized bearing; had a enough juice to make it to there shop by 4pm! They treated me so well! They fixed my car by 1pm the next day! Ordered parts same day, friendly people that enjoy what they do! Treated me like any other customer even though there are higher paying jobs they could have focused on! i have been bring my vehicles to this stop for the past 5 years. there has'nt been a vehicle that they have repaired correctly. here are some examples - brought my 2002cl600 to have the check engine light issuse repaired. after 15 months i had to get bar involved because there was no communication on the progress . i prepaid for parts 4k. after getting the vehicle back still has the same problem. to add to that the vehicle stayed outside so long the was rodent damage to the drivers door wiring harness. i had them replace the rear shock on my 2004 sl500 only to find that they were'nt replaced and they kept the new parts. i paid to have the a/c on my 2007 sl500 and the top fixed. picked up the vehicle, top didnt work and the a/c was'nt cooling. the 2002 cl600 had a front hydraulic line leak. i was told that the engine have to be pulled to replace the line however recently the same line on my 2003 cl600 started leaking and the shop that is doing the repair only had to remove the radiator. bottom line the quality of work that sutton releases is sub-par. there is no quality control. as a automotive service advisor i pride myself in ensuring honest work and customer satisfaction. morris motors is not a repair shop that has any integrity or quality. maybe spend a little more and the repairs done right read more

Our engine was overheating while traveling a long way from home on the I-5. Fortunately, Morris Motors was just a few miles away. I thought for sure we would need an expensive repair that would take a lot of time. Owner Michael and technician Tony performed a very thorough diagnosis. Within an hour they discovered that despite a full overflow container, the radiator was only half full. They confirmed all hoses, clamps and gaskets we're good and both computer and test drive verified all cooling and heating systems were working. They simply filled the radiator and thoroughly explained everything to us. Michael also advised us on other issues that were okay for now but should be resolved soon. I have been taking my 2003 Porsche 911 4S to Morris Motors for the past 5 years (since 2008). Normally, it's just for an annual oil change. However, I had the nose repainted (to repair road chip damage) and the rear bumper re-painted at the same time from an accident (i.e. for the record, not my accident, someone backed into me in a parking lot, that was a fun surprise!!!). The paint work is indistinguishable from the original paint on the balance of the car. I have also had an oil pressure sensor replaced and some other minor work (replaced a reservoir tank in the engine compartment that was leaking). My Porsche looks perfect, like new, inside and out and I want to keep it that way. Mike, the owner of Morris Motors, knows this and takes extreme caution and care when working on my car. Passed over the bridge on 160 in Walnut Grove and thought how odd, a European car repair shop here in the middle of nowhere. About a mile past the shop my car dies. I limp back to the shop and meet Mike Morris the owner. He dropped what he was working on to try and solve my problem. I had to leave it overnight for further diagnostics. The final diagnosis after checking many items was ethanol in the fuel. I rarely drive the car and it sits months on end. Mike was unexpectedly reasonable in his charges, so much so that I cut him a check for twice the amount. I wish he was located closer to my home in Roseville.
