If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Do not bring your luxury German or European vehicles here for any services or even diagnostics. I had my mother-in-law's 2017 Audi Q7 brought in for front brake and caliper replacement, as well as a full diagnostic to determine other necessary servicing. I was shocked when the owner tried to rip us off simply because we dressed up nicely. He assumed we had a lot of money. We informed him that the brakes needed replacement because the vehicle shook and vibrated badly when we braked on the highway. He falsely diagnosed the issue and claimed that the entire front suspension of the Audi needed to be replaced, with an estimate cost of almost $8,000. This garage was incredibly slow and took them all day to provide me with a quote on the necessary services. We were so frustrated that we walked out and went to a different garage. They listened to our concerns about the front suspension replacement and examined the vehicle. They determined that the front suspension was fine and that only the front brakes and calipers needed to be replaced. We paid the new shop $1,200, and the issue was resolved. The vehicle no longer shook or vibrated, and it drove very smoothly. The price difference between the two garages was staggering--$1,200 compared to $8,000. I strongly advise against taking your luxury vehicles to this garage. They lack the ability to test vehicles and are not loyal to their customers. read more

We've been bringing our Audi here since a couple disappointing trips to the dealership. We've brought it in 3 (or more) different times now and are always happy with their work. Reliable, friendly and trustworthy. If you're dropping off for an oil change there is not much to do around the shop but there is a nice walking path and park nearby. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! I brought in my 1989 BMW e30 for a failing fuel pump and vacuum leak in early-mid 2024. I do understand and made clear that the car needed more work. I asked for a diagnosis and to fix the major issues with the car. There will be a lot of maintenance for a nearly 40 year old car, so I understand it's harder to diagnose immediately. It took a YEAR AND A HALF to get my car back. I paid nearly $7000 in work for parts and labor. After A YEAR AND A HALF, I got my car back in 2025. I had called repeatedly in the meantime before, every time they said they were "waiting on parts" or "we're getting to it this week", if you genuinely are so backed up with car work for over a year you are extremely unprofessional. The worst part wasn't even the wait, the day I got the car back I took it to Costco, and IT BROKE DOWN THE SAME DAY I GOT IT. I had to tow it back, and they said it was a failing fuel pump (which was the original reason I even brought the car in). They then proceeded to charge me another $1200 after they just "fixed it". This still is not the worst part, while under their care, the original red paint has been sun damaged from sitting unprotected in their front parking lot, the front BMW logo had worn off from the sun, they even put the faded BMW symbol inside the car like it's fixable, the DASH IS CRACKED, and my subwoofer was STOLEN and cut out from the trunk. When I asked the worker if they had removed the subwoofer out of the trunk for any work he said "I have no idea, that cars been here since before I started working here", so I asked the main person dealing with my car and he said "sorry sometimes people can get into it from the parking lot". EXTREMELY unprofessional, careless staff. I should have taken legal action when it originally happened, but at the time I just wanted my car back and wanted them as far away as possible. Paying over $8k just for the car to be in worse shape than when I had brought it in. DO NOT EVER, EVER take your car here if you want a reliable shop. They are no where near professional. I still think about this situation all the time, and it never fails to ruin my day. Awful place. Wish I could give it 0 stars. read more

Late Posting this, but I wanted to Post my experience with L&S Motorwerks. Bought a used Mini Cooper and, first time I went there and they did a good job, but when I had a whole different issue, Mark called me and explained the problem. Showed me The issue from the picture that was taken and Said it wouldn't be worth it to fix. A month later mini cooper Still was giving the blues. Remembering they told me they had a couple of BMW's for sale. Now I'm getting ready to deal with Santiago. I went with a 530 BMW, had a few things wrong with it. Santiago fixed the issues that I had and didn't like about the vehicle. I found a new auto repair that can be trusted. I have plenty more that could be written, but this is the gist. I'm so glad I tried this auto shop. Tucked away in a corner of Elk Grove, I was impressed by the service coordinator (Mason or Matt?) opening the door and greeting me, knowing my name and knowing I was coming. What a change from every other car service place I've ever gone! All the managers/coordinators in the front desk were so friendly (shake your hand!) and personable. They wasted no time in checking me in and getting my car into the mechanics. Even though it was a simple oil change (Mini Cooper), there would be a complementary inspection and so the Mason offered to shuttle me 5 minutes to the Starbucks so I could work on my laptop and then picked me up as soon as it was done (less than an hour). The price was very reasonable, especially in comparison to what most foreign car dealerships charge, like Niello Mini in Sac. I was impressed by the inspection and them knowing all the maintenance history of my vehicle. I'm definitely going to use them for all my Mini Cooper's needs. read more

The L&S crew was awesome! Had to get axles and axle boot replacements on my Fiat 500 Abarth, which they were able to take care of. They also found a couple of leaking hoses and promptly replaced those. I've honestly found it difficult to find repair shops that work on fiats in Elk Grove, so I'm happy to have found L&S MotorWerks. I have to call out their communications system...it's a step above everyone else I've dealt with(aside from maybe Tesla). They have a website where you can check out what was done on your car, their finding, approval for work. There's a built in chat function where their techs reach out with updates. I know this may not matter to most of the folks looking to get work done on your car, but to me, this was a highlight. It really made the experience from beginning to end, feel seamless. read more

I cannot say enough good things about L&S Motorwerks. I needed to get a battery check, and, as it turned out, a new battery. I had called a few parts stores and found they would do a free battery check, but that my vehicle is considered a "problem" installation because of its location. I did a search for battery installation and L&S Motorwerks had an extremely high rating. I gave them a call on my way home from work and spoke with Santiago. I explained my situation and Santiago asked what type of vehicle I had. There was the rub. I own an American-made vehicle and they specialize in European vehicles. However, recognizing that once I shut off the engine it might not restart, Santiago made room in their schedule for me to go straight to their shop and take care of my situation. Mark, the front end manager, made the call to immediately get a replacement battery. I was in and out in less than an hour despite a shop full of vehicles. I saved time and money by making a call to L&S Motorwerks. These guys went the extra mile to provide me a service they don't normally do. Santiago, Mark, and the entire crew have my thanks and appreciation. If you own a European vehicle, you can't do better than L&S Motorwerks for your service needs. read more

I researched for a quality service center that was qualified to work on my custom ordered 2016.5 Land Rover Landmark LR4. Yelp suggested L and S Mortorwerks. I called and talked to Mark and was impressed by the courtesy and respect extended to me during the initial consultation. I scheduled an oil change and inspection report and could not be happier with the Service team and Mark. There quality of work and clean shop environment put me at ease and their prices were fair and equitable for the work performed. As a Veteran myself , especially during the Vietnam era, I was glad to see that it was family and Veteran owned. I did not ask for a Veterans discount, this visit, as it was my first time. I have already scheduled another appointment for the serpentine belt and super charger belt replacement on the 12 of August. As an auto detailer I appreciate the fact that my machine is handled with great care and precision and given back to me in the some condition as it was presented for service. I found this shop by random chance a few years ago. So far, they have done a great job with my cars. They communicate well throughout the time your car is there. I just wish they would clean the office though of all the dirt, but that's for them and doesn't really affect my car repair. Pre-purchase vehicle inspection here was helpful. What sets this place apart from others in the area is that they provide Carfax as well. I was able to get a thorough inspection with photos of damaged car parts and estimates of the repairs plus found out the car I was interested in purchasing had mileage that was rolled back. Saved me from purchasing a vehicle that was closer to the end of its lifespan than anticipated. The inspection was an hour. I have posted a review before, so this is somewhat an update. The stars remain at 5. They are consistent with their good and reliable service. My car is not new and the mileage is high; but, it still drives good. I had many issues when I first brought my car to their shop; they communicated the issues to me where I could understand what's happening, they fixed said issues and I haven't had costly car repairs since then, just routine maintenance things, and my car is very reliable now. In other words, my car was stressful to drive before L&S; it's just fun now.. I would say Mark and Santiago are car doctors, bc they !know BMW ..and Mark knows his luxury cars. Took my Audi here for a coolant pressure test for a hard to find leak. Great guys, do a very thorough job and always keep you updated on their progress. They provide photos on what they find and a courtesy vehicle check was also provided to me.
