Jose came and cleaned carpets on stairs and downstairs area plus three rugs. He did a great job. I would call them again.

I have been using these guys for about 7 years now. I will not use anyone but them. They have cleaned everything from my carpets to area rugs to my windows and even the interior seats of my car when my dog had an accident in the backseat and the smell would not come out. They spent so much time on it until it was gone. They are by far the best company out there. Extremely responsive, easy to schedule, professional, nice, and the carpet looks great when they leave. I love that they do area rugs by either picking them up and dropping them off or you can bring them to their location for super Duper cleaning. A friend recommended this company to me seven years ago and I'm so happy that she did! AWESOME JOB! I have had my fair share of bad experiences with carpet cleaning companies so this experience with Mortensen & Son's truly shocked me. What an amazing company! I spoke with Doug Mortensen at length about my carpets and my needs and he was extremely knowledgeable - which makes sense since it is a family owned and operated business. They use safe materials to clean the carpets and he even mentioned that the stuff they use is not toxic to my dogs so when they lick their paws after stepping on the wet carpet, they will not get sick. They removed horrible pet stains (my dogs are jerks lol) and were fast, extremely well priced and very friendly and trustworthy. I do not want to say what I paid, as I am sure it is highly dependent on the job they are doing, but I will say, it beat the rest. They also promised not to add charges once they got here (which has been done to be before) and they did not. They were very honest and that is hard to find. I 100% will be using Mortensen & Sons for all of my future carpet cleaning needs and am so happy to end the search! I highly recommend them (obviously). What a pleasure. We're having out of town guests so it was finally time to have the off-white couch, loveseat, and chaise professionally cleaned. I called around and got widely varying quotes. The place I was going to go with based on Yelp reviews gave me a price of $25-$30 per foot for furniture. After I scheduled the cleaning, I measured and added it up - 7 foot couch, 6 foot loveseat and an overstuffed 4 foot wide chaise was going to cost me at least $425! Yikes, I cancelled. Looked on Yelp again and saw Mortenson & Son had great reviews also. So, I called and was quoted $180. With 5 star reviews and a price less than half of what the other place quoted, I made an appointment. They weren't the cheapest price I was given, but they were reasonable and sounded very good from the reviews (except for 1 person complaining about the noise from the truck - its a carpet cleaning truck - a vacuum. It's supposed to sound like that). Well, Rene and Jose arrived at exactly the time they said they would. They looked at my furniture and smiled. Not a "you have to be joking" smile, but more of "we're up for this challenge" smile. As I said, my furniture is an off-white. I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old grandson who visits frequently. There were spill marks and food stains. There were many crayon masterpieces drawn on the side of the chaise, which I knew would never come out. We also have rescue animals - 3 dogs and 3 cats. All of which like to sit on the back of the loveseat and look out the front window like they're expecting company. So that was particularly dirty. In talking to Jose I realized the furniture would be clean, but the carpet with all its stains would probably look worse, so I had them add that job on for an extra $50. They spend time to pre-treat everything, going over difficult stains and spots several times. Well, I'm amazed. They just left and the furniture and carpet are spotless. It's not dry yet, so we'll see what it looks like later today, but I see no spots at all. And....they got every crayon mark out of the chaise. That, I wasn't expecting at all. I would definitely use this company again. There was no up-selling of "special" pre-treatment sprays like other companies try to talk you into. I just has my kitchen tile clean this morning. It's not near what I expected at all. After they cleaned, my tile floor is now sticky. I'm not sure what is the definition of clean to them. I will have to mop the floor again to get those sticky solution out. We moved all furnitures out to be ready for this tile cleaning. What a waste of time and money. read more

The guys that came out were very professional in keeping the house clean as they did their job for cleaning the carpet and the sofas. The cleaning of the patio overhang was done very carefully as there were many obstacles to be considered in my backyard. They did a fantastic job with the cleaning of and cleaning up of the patio. I've recommended Doug's services to many friends and they've been extremely happy with the work done - from carpet cleaning to window washing to furniture cleaning to grout cleaning to chandelier cleaning and on and on. I rarely ever do reviews but i felt i had to say something about this company. Dough and his employee came to my home to clean my carpets which had not been cleaned in a few years. They were on time and very pleasant to do business with on that day. They were very prompt to finish their work and gave good explanation of what i should do post cleaning during drying time. When they left all the "high traffic" areas still looked dirty to me but i thought it might just be from the carpet still being damp. We left on vacation that same day for a week. When we got back home the carpet still looked grungy and did not look like it had been cleaned. Now, im a pretty clean person so according to Dough, compared to other homes my carpet didnt look dirty to begin with. But if you look at the lower traffic areas compared to the high traffic areas you can clearly see the carpet is dirty. There are no stains, just the overall look is dirty. The carpet is only a few years old so i called him back and told him my conserns and he said that the carpet was clean. I said ok. But now almost 4 wks later it still bothers me to see the carpet dirty after i payed someone to make it clean. I called him today, and after expressing my concerns yet again, he said " Lady, i don't know what you want me to do, but i cleaned it and if you are not happy with it then you can go somewhere else" I asked him if he would come redo and he said he would not, that he was to busy to do it. I am appalled. I've voiced my concerns with him twice , and refuses to do anything about it. read more

Doug (the owner) really saved the day. I had contracted with another company to clean my carpets but they flaked at the last minute. But i had already moved all my furniture so i needed to find someone fast. I called a few places, and they said i would need to schedule 2-3 weeks out. then i called Doug and he rearranged his schedule so that he and one of his co-workers could come out later that afternoon. We were having a party and needed the carpets and a white couch cleaned. I put off finding someone because we used Coit last time and they were terrible. Then I thought to ask a friend and she said she has used Mortensen's for years. I called and Doug was very friendly on the phone. You can tell he takes pride in serving his customers. Not only did he miraculously manage to fit us in, he suggested only cleaning the couch cushions which I hadn't thought of but that's all that was needed and that saved me some money. On the day of the appointment, Doug called to let me know the technician would be a little late which was totally fine. I appreciated that call. Normally folks aren't courteous enough to do that. The technician was friendly and worked hard. My carpets and couch look amazing and I've already sung Mortensen's praises and given their info to a friend. Thank you much! Yuck! My wife spaced out and left a bag of meat in the van, gross. Right away I thought of Doug. Not only does he have the right equipment for a job like that but also the exact cleaners that can actually nullify the bacteria. On that visit just a small portion of the front of the van was cleaned but on seeing the difference I'm bringing the van back for a complete interior as soon as I get the chance. Had a great experience with Mortensen & Son. My floor tile had bits of grout that had crept into the ridges of the tile squares. Vidal and Jose had to had scrape the hardened grout out. They did that, cleaned the tile and resealed the grout. My tile floors look brand new. A week later they cleaned my carpets and they look great! They dried within a couple of hours. Nobody tried to sell me on extra treatments. I got two other bids from "franchises" that were much higher. I was very happy and will use them again in the future. read more

Amazing experience. I called and got a great quote and the job was done two days later. They showed up on time (which is very important to us) and did an amazing job. My carpet looks brand new, despite the 4 cats and 1 dog that we have. We also had an area rug that needed to be cleaned, and they took it and cleaned it for a very low price, and also offered to deliver it when it was done. This company was recommended to me by my carpet specialist. Carpet specialist came and stretched the carpet for us. I'll write a separate review about him later. We live in a condo, therefore, the job costs more since they have to bring up the portable. The carpet was in pretty good shape before, and after the job was completed. It looks brand new!
