Good service and tasty food! Extensive draft lift and nice group seating. The outdoor patio looked nice, but did not work for a rainy night. Catfish was enjoyable, drinks were good, water always filled and table well served. I would return.

Went to Mortimers for lunch today with a party of 10. We sat in the party room. It was very nice and pretty private for all of us since we tend to get pretty rambunctious and loud. Totally forgot to let my camera "eat first". Hahhaha! Our waitress was very nice. She was able to take all of our orders and deliver them with some help from her team. The restaurant is a Memphis staple that has been around for a very long time. This was my first time dining there. When you walk into the restaurant, the bar is at the front. There are many tables and chairs in the restaurant. The decor reminds me of a bar and a local neighborhood eatery. Nothing real fancy but fits many people. The tables and chairs are kind of worn but are adequate. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant was really busy which is a good sign. I imagine there are regular customers each day. They have a variety of lunch specials each day. I love the many choices of sides and the menu is quite extensive. I ordered fried catfish with black-eyed peas and pickled beets. We were served corn sticks with butter before our meal. I had coffee and water to drink. Everything was delish!! My friends ordered burgers, beef stroganoff, chicken salad, soup, a Mahi Mahi sandwich, and veggie plate. Our food was tasty. They are open for dinner as well. I will come back to try more options on the menu.

We must have gone on an off night. The food just didn't have a good flavor to it. The marinade tasted water down.

The stroganoff. It was good. Good lunch special.

Great little quick bite. For was solid, drink was solid, service was solid. It was a quick bite but enjoyable!

Casual dining with established ambiance! Seafood options and more. Try the gumbo- it's mild and loaded with okra, shrimp, and polish sausage. Servers are friendly! Love the brick floors! BEST BANANA PUDDING IN TOWN!!

Definitely overpriced. The setting is more conducive to bar food, but you pay steakhouse prices.

I am not sure if that's normal or something they are still fixing, but my understanding was they were only doing construction on the main dining area. IDK but I will definitely not sit out there again as I didn't even really get to talk to my friend. I liked the nachos I got but the okra was just ok. Could've used some seasoning. The Tiger Bleu Chips my friend ordered were a cool idea. I don't like buffalo sauce nor bleu cheese so I tried some chips and liked them but not the sauces. I loved the chicken on it though. I am not sure if it's the same chicken as the nachos but it didn't taste like it was. Honestly, it would be cool if they had options for the chips like maybe other sauces. Unfortunately, they messed up my husbands burger twice, which is not great. But the burger itself just tasted like nothing, which was worse. Hubby's tater tots were too salty. NGL, everything was just a little off and I think this place just isn't for me. Liked: - Nachos: Ultimate Chicken Ok: - Appetizer: Tiger Bleu Chips (chicken was delish) - Side: Okra Disliked: - Burger - Side: Tater Tots

I had a Barbacoa beef breakfast bowl with eggs, black beans, pico, tortilla chips, ranchero sauce, shredded beef, and a lime crema. This burger was amazing and definitely lived up to the Hopdoddy excellence in burgers. Don't be scared by the sauces or cheese;you have to get it just like it comes. I let him try the Brazilian and he said, that burger is amazing. He liked it better than his tried and true. We are going to have to come back this month because he wants to get a whole one to himself. As usual the service was superb and the staff is always friendly and inviting. Trying to get 10 people to agree on a restaurant is a tall order I must admit, especially when…read moreseven of those people happen to be 16 years old and younger. My cousins and I and barked on the challenge of feeding all of our kids and having limited issues. After much Internet research, one Cousin decided this was the spot that we needed to trek too to make as many people happy as possible. We walked in to complete wall and mountain of people. It was pure chaos. We got to the end of the line where we were given a little white piece of paper and told that it would be impossible to see all 10 of us at one table, but they could probably get two tables of five that would work for us. It was extremely hot outside and although it would be easier to stay outside outside was not an option. We decided to see the kids at the tables while we re-organize ourselves to figure out how we are gonna order with our big group. This is where we made our first mistake unbeknownst to us. Since we thought we had assigned seats, we took our time getting everyone's order online thinking that we could order online to make everything easier. This ended up being incorrect. Also, suddenly, while sitting down employees started taking our tables from us and rearranging them, informing us that we needed to have stayed in line and the tables that we have on our little piece of paper. We're actually not our tables at all. This came as quite a shock. We walked back over to the chaotic front door, which I can't help, but think is a fire hazard and found a very small sign hidden behind all the people that informs everybody that they must stay in line and cannot go sit down at the tables they've been assigned. How does this make any sense? If the table is not yours until you order, then the table should not be assigned to you until after you order. Our kids were moved from table to table to table while we got in line trying to order our food. There are lots of other odd rules like ordering from the bar. We were told we could not order alcoholic drinks from where we order the food and we should really just order our drinks in line while waiting to order our food which didn't seem to really make any sense but we follow directions. The food itself was wonderful and Once. We understood what we are supposed to do. It turned out OK but the beginning of this experience was not good and it would've been much more helpful. If we had understood how the process worked from the get-go and not after being moved from table to table to table

Excellent concept in selection of Pizzas, yes but what type do you ask? They don't make it easy..Detroit 10x8, 10" Deep Dish (NB only 35.made.daily??), Calzones, 13" Classic, GF Cauliflower Crust, and a 18" Chicago Cracker thin--say wh@t? Never heard of this, all more reason to return! All cooked in an Italian stone deck oven 600° not quite the leopard spotting of neopolitans but it's pretty decent having just tried the Detroit Pepperoni and Deep Dish $22 and $28 Deep Dish Big Apple. Oven rendered crispy lil pepperoni cups and a decent crusty cheese edge on the Detroit, and a puffy pillow crust on the Deep Dish. Latter misses the buttery yellow cornmeal firmness of signature Chicago Deep Dishes though, and the puffy dough does get a little dry and more chewy less crisp as you get to the end of your slice and as time outta the oven ticks on. Rotolo's spicy sausage are thin slices not crumbled that I was expecting and sure bang a bite, it's very good. Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad $14 with pesto honey mustard, not too sweet was the most inventive salad that I've never seen before. Gave the pepperoni to my guest and still delish with crispy romaine and grape tomatoes, parm & bright zesty banana peppers. It's huge and enough for 3 of us. Didn't add but Chix was only $3 to add or $5 for fried /grilled shrimp! Hubby's real IPA 4/5* and Wisconsin N/A Untitled Art Juicy IPA $6 were very flavorful. Both a cloudy lemonade color, good hoppy bite, clean finish though the real IPA's is short not lingering, it's better on the NA actually, and prefer over more commonly found Athletic IPA 5/5* Waitress was a young student, attentive and lots of them running around, she did a great job, refills, order, checking in, out.
