Morton Grove Florist has the MOST BEAUTIFUL roses I've ever seen. Our wedding was on March 30th. By the end of February, I was still at a complete loss as to what to do with flowers. I'd gone over so many permutations and possibilities that I had thought myself down a wormhole. I wanted red roses, that's all I knew. I contacted the swankier floral shops around Chicago, had a few consultations and everyone seemed to want to make it more complicated than it needed to be. My mom and I walked into Morton Grove Florist by pure chance because it was near our home. After looking around for a few, we sat down with Sue who made everything so super easy. I explained to her that I wanted a rich amount of big beautiful red roses and she helped me with small additions that really made a WORLD of difference. It was just so easy, everything was done in a matter of one hour and my floral problem was no more. We decided on a cascading bouquet of beautiful red roses with minimal additions of other florals. On the day of our wedding when the flowers were delivered not one person could hold in their 'WOW'. They were beautiful, lush, in bloom and had SO MANY PETALS you couldn't count them. What's also amazing is that I needed another bouquet just like the one from my wedding day for a post-wedding photo session. I called Sue and asked to make another and she did, it was nearly identical. I loved this bouquet so much that I dried the flowers and it is now sitting on top of my armoire! In conclusion, this little mom & pop flower shop might not stand out as much as the well-marketed boutique floral shops with their Instagram​ feeds and moody photography, but in the end,​ what matters is that you get amazing service and the best flowers and that's what you'll get here. It was such a pleasant experience working with this florist!!! The prices are extremely reasonable for the neighborhood and quality of the service in this place. For my bouquet, I had a few ideas but wasn't really sure how those ideas would turn out looking. But she made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions during our consultation. And on the day of!!!!.......I was SOOOO HAPPY to see how everything turned out. My bouquet had all of the wildflowers I had imagined, but they added a touch of elegance and traditional vibes with white roses in the mix -- exactly the sort of variety and peculiarity that I was looking for!!! :D The alter arrangements were so beautiful and we even rented these beautiful stands from the boutique. I am rating this two stars based on the fact the family that received the arrangement thought it was beautiful. You can reference the picture I've attached. They also received it in the time frame specified. However, based on the fact that I choose and paid for an arrangement and did not get said arrangement I rate ZERO stars. They have a disclaimer on substitutions as follows: "Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color." Of the 9 flowers listed, they substituted 7! Purple dendrobium orchids & green carnations-yes Kiwi dish-no Dark pink Sweet William-no Emerald palm leaf-no Green hypericum-no, used red hypericum Bamboo like equisetum-no Galax leaves-no Sweet moss-no Come on! Seriously?! This is a case of not getting what you paid for. I understand one or two flowers not being in stock, but the entire arrangement is completely different. I went to Morton Grove Florist to order flowers for my outdoor wedding. We planned the wedding on very short notice (6 weeks) due to an illness in the family. I didn't have very much figured out! Sue spent a very long time with me, on several trips to the shop, picking out what flowers would look good and where they would go in the space. I wanted it to be rustic looking with wildflowers. The flowers they delivered far exceeded my expectations, they were absolutely beautiful! Sue figured out what I wanted even when I didn't know, myself. It was a windy day and the altar arrangements were so big and full that we placed them on the floor as planters. Sue was absolutely wonderful to work with and she gave me a really good price given the situation. We were not allowed to use glass at our venue and she worked with me to find alternative vases, and she let me bring in my own ribbon to decorate some of the arrangements. Thank you Sue! read more

I used Morton Grove Flowers for my wedding flowers. I was referred to them and was very pleased with my experience. Using pictures Sue and I came up with tall centerpieces, boutonnieres and bouquets. She delivered them promptly to the reception site and hotel (where pictures were taken). The flowers looked good and the price was reasonable. The only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is because I had hoped that my bridal bouquet was more rounded instead of more one sided (but for picture purposes I can understand why) also the main boutonniere flower used (I cant recall the name of the flower, it was purple) didn't last throughout the day and night. Having ordered a "colorful bouquet with a single red rose", my wife recieved a red and white bouquet with not open lillies and a dying red rose hangin off the side. She works a mile from the florist so there is no excuse for "cold shock". Looking at the internet pictures, I paid $50 for a $35 bouquet. Calling the florist, the said they are not responsible for unopened flowers...."they will open eventually". I told them it had no colors except white and red.... they said "bring it back". This was my second time coming here for a quick purchase. My first was back in November 2015, the lady helping me who I believe is the owner really did not seem like she wanted to help me at all, I grabbed a quick bouquet of roses, and she immediately tried to ring me up, I stopped her and said well at least a plastic bouquet holder, let me buy a vase, all she responded with was "WHICH ONE?" So I pointed to a nice one behind the counter, the amount of grief that came over her face because I actually asked for a product was ridiculous. I purchased it and left. Today, it's Valentine's Day 2016, snowing outside, their open! Great I stop by, and everything is completely jacked up price wise. 6 roses for $69? Really? And the basic flowers setups maybe a few different colored flowers, mostly dead and very ugly. The same lady as last time was there, plus a new lady, she had light colored hair. She asked me if I need help with anything I said I'll just look around a bit. 2 minutes go by and she starts pointing out items, I was not pleased with any of the products. Then she tried to point me towards some tiny miniature roses that were very ugly, I said no thank to those as well and she let out a "Jesus Christ", I actually apologized to her for being indecisive, and as I write this review I realize SHE should have apologized for not even offering a truly helping hand. They had terrible choices to begin with, and the most disgusting attitude! Went to Walgreens across the street and got nicer flowers and roses in a vase with a teddy bear! For a fraction! Not very pleased with their website. I ordered a money tree that, according to the picture and specifications, came in a square black container and stood 16" tall. That was not the case at all. The plant that was delivered came in a giant white basket and was closer to 36" tall! From the description and picture I expected a small desk plant but what was received was WAY too big for any desk. I called they told me that was the only size they had and usually people complained that they are too small! I find that VERY hard to believe since what we received was more than twice the advertised height. There is no way this plant could improve the "chi" in any office - it was just too overwhelming. The tree itself was great but the presentation was horrible and the advertisement deceiving. I realize that florist websites are usually all the same and linked through teleflora but I would expect the florists would be aware of what people are looking at on their website when they place an order and try to make their products as close to that as possible. I feel like I just wasted $60! Very disappointing. read more
