They made it to my new apartment in NJ in great time and unloaded everything within 45 minutes. Not a single item was damaged and I had two tvs and a LOT of glass, including boxes filled with glass that I wasn't super careful when bubble wrapping and a glass top desk. I got a mailer in from O'Shea trucking and decided to give them an opportunity to give an estimate. I spoke to Michelle O'Shea who told me it was a family business and they help to move locally and long distance. She scheduled with Rick, her husband, to come provide an estimate. When Rick came to provide the estimate, he was informative, kind and thorough. He went to see all the rooms, attic and crawl space. I really appreciated that the owner himself came to do the estimate rather than the previous sales people I've dealt with at other companies. Michelle sent over the quote and I was able to secure my date with a deposit. Unfortunately, we had issues with our closing date and buyers and had to changed our previously scheduled moving date. Michelle was wondering and communicative as she accommodated our new date. She was able to set up a crew to help me move before we needed to be out of the house. I was so appreciative of all her efforts. The day of the move, Rick called me and informed me that the crew was on their way. Rick himself and 4 members of his team were there ready to work. They were efficient, they worked well together, communicated well and everything flowed. They did a walk through prior to the move to ensure what was being moved and packed everything up so well. When moving into the new space, they transported all the furniture and assembled them in their designated rooms. They put down runners throughout the house to ensure everything was safe and transported well. They asked questions and moved things where directed. Each person had a task - unloading, building, transporting and the family team really worked well together. I highly recommend O'Shea Trucking for your next move. Before committing, I decided to get a second opinion -- and thankfully, I found Harbor Moving and Storage. Ken was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful from the beginning. He explained that modern moving estimates should be based on volume, not just weight and distance, and warned that any company requiring a deposit up front might be a red flag. We had kept a good inventory of what we needed moved, and Ken quickly returned a quote that was far more reasonable than the original company. We booked with him immediately. Pickup day (the Monday after the 4th of July) went perfectly. The movers, Lester and Stephen, arrived early and waited until the 8 a.m. start time due to HOA rules. They were polite, upbeat, and immediately reassuring -- saying, "this will be easy," which gave me confidence. I had worked hard to pack and label things correctly (some items were going to a condo, others to storage), and they followed instructions perfectly. The team handled everything with care, especially the furniture destined for long-term storage -- they wrapped it thoroughly and thoughtfully. They worked fast and efficiently. At the second pickup location (a storage unit), they navigated a tricky street parking situation and got everything loaded within two and a half hours total. There was a minor delay in getting the shipment down to Florida due to a driver emergency, but Ken stayed in close contact the entire time. We were flexible since we weren't going to be in Naples to receive the delivery -- our brother-in-law met the truck. Ken provided the driver's contact info and an accurate delivery window, so we were never left wondering. On the Florida end, they again handled the move flawlessly -- even managing to unload everything into both the storage unit and our second-floor condo despite another tight parking situation. All items arrived in perfect condition, and the crew maintained a detailed inventory from start to finish. Our help fell through on 7am Sunday morning and we knew we needed extra hands especially for the heavy stuff. Alex, hears us out, of course already booked with repeat clients and if you saw him/them move you would completely understand why. So we do what we can until they arrive. 2:30pm comes and to his word, Alex and Hugo show up. Immediately they assessed the state of things with us, asked all the right questions and got right to work. I mean this when I say it, you get your money's worth & more! They can definitely charge more but I'm grateful they charged fair. They are quick, clean, skilled & professional as they worked together in such a fluid impressive way.
