I came here with a colleague to celebrate a great week. Upon entrance there is a sign that lists the dress code which is business casual so no tank tops flip flops etc. However this dress code is not followed. Many of the customers looked like they just came from the beach. If you're looking for a fancy/upscale dining experience this might not be it. I had the shrimp scampi and it tasted pretty good! I really enjoyed the shrimp, they were the perfect size and paired well with the pasta. If I went back I would order this dish again. For the quality I do think it's a bit overpriced. Masculine, no nonsense interiors, Germanic efficiency, creamed spinach, impeccable beef and a pile of Bitcoin to settle things up at the end. There was a Morton's in Princeton a few years ago for about five seconds but alas, changing demographics meant there weren't enough blue bloods left to savor the bloodless pricing. Morton's in AC will do just fine, it has the formula down pat and enough transient traffic to fill their post-pandemic dance card indefinitely. A terrific meal nonetheless. Was told we'd have to wait to be seated until the people before us were seated (there was zero people waiting, no one else was in the restaurant) after 45 seconds she then sat us. Felt a little unnecessary to make it a point to have us wait when clearly there was no line nor people ahead of us. That did put a bad taste in our mouth.... Having said that, the food was excellent. We ordered the large filet and it was cooked perfectly to our liking along with the truffle sauce on top. The mashed potatoes and creamed spinach was also delicious. As the Casino's struggle to hold quality sit down restaurants, this one is acceptable, for the most part. It's not the best steak house I have ever been to. But, the options at Caesar's are getting more and more sparse. And with places like Gordon Ramsay Pub, shitting the bed most of the time, we need other choices. The food here is good, although not what I would call premium. It's consistent. You get to watch them cut, prepare and grill your steak. They take comp! Cons: A bit overpriced for quality. But, that's everywhere in the Casino's. If you are looking to use comp at a sit down, skip Ramsay's and give Morton's a try. read more

We made reservations for dinner since I was craving a good steak. Our waiter Victor was very nice. I ordered the prime rib and my husband had the filet mignon. We shared the lobster mac and cheese. Everything was delicious! They cooked our steaks exactly how we like them- rare. The mac and cheese was probably one of the best mac and cheeses I ever had. It was so creamy. I booked room A & B for 32 guests to son's rehearsal dinner party. Linda Burckler was the event manager I delt with. The room setup was beautiful, and the food was what you'd expect at Morton's. Beware of overcharging, count your drinks, the alcohol was double the budget, for example I was the only person who drank Guiness beer, I was charged for 5 beers when I only drank 3, and I know for a fact no one else drank Guiness beer. when I brought it up 2 weeks later, Linda came back and said the waiter remembers that another guest sitting at the end ordered the other 2. Beware of upselling, the contract that I signed said coffee tea and water were free. the waiters went around asking my guests if they wanted coffee, espresso, or cappuccinos, and that added $100 to my final bill. It's not the money my bill was $7300.00 for 32 guests. It's the principal, when in your gut you know they took advantage. the fact they argued and even refused to refund the $100 upselling of coffee, tells you allot but Linda and the managers at that restaurant. This was not my first time to dine or book large party at a Morton's restaurant, but I promise you it will be my last. read more

I've been to this location on a number of occasions and each time it doesn't disappoint. Last year for my birthday my fiancé' proposed to me here during dinner. It was beautiful and the entire staff were in on it. This year for my birthday he made reservations once again and after dinner under their low candle like setting, he upgraded my ring! What a man. We love this Morton Steakhouse location. .It's become one of our favorite places to dine when we are in Atlantic City. When you make reservations and inform them of the occasion, they don't forget like some restaurants out here. They will welcome you mentioning the occasion, and I do know that for birthdays, they will give you a complimentary photograph and birthday dessert, candle and all. This visit Ivan was our waiter. The bar is set high when a steakhouse charges as much as this place does, even if in a casino. Expectations were not met. I order a simple Tanqueray and tonic to drink. It skews too much tonic, not enough gin. There's no lime garnish. This is just a bad drink. And it costs $10.50. I'm given bread basket and butter. 4 slices of hard rustic, maybe whole grain bread. Just very hard. Butter is hard too, which is weird because it looks like it's whipped butter and shaped into a ball. They put it back in the fridge to harden? Why? French Onion Soup - ok, but way too much cheese. I love cheese as much as the next guy, but there's just too much. I finish the soup and leave a lot of the cheese, even though I had a good amount. Bone in prime rib - I ordered medium rare, but am given a solid medium. I don't like to waste food, so I don't say or return it, mostly because it's just tasty and by the time I see the inside, I've eaten enough of it. It's not a game stopper, but again, high bar of expectation is not being met. The au jus that accompanied was very flavorful and was the high light of the meal. Side of chef's choice of roasted vegetables - Mix of carrots, squash, string beans, mushrooms. It was a boring mix that was roasted. No flavor was disappointing. Waiter did not check to see if everything was ok after receiving my prime rib. Did not refill my water after one glass. People of color beware!!! The Female front hostess is the worst front of house person I've ever seen. She was so awful. We were in town celebrating a birthday on a Sunday afternoon and decided to try Morton's because Gordon's Ramseys was too crowded. What a BIG MISTAKE!! Morton's was empty and the front hostess told us she couldn't seat us because there were no more tables for the day. We literally walked outside went to OpenTable and found a ton of open reservations so we booked it. We go back in and and then the hostess then tells us we are not dressed accordingly because I had a hoodie which was dressy and I had on heels. She did everything in her power to not seat us. So I confronted her and told her she has been rude and unreasonable. After I confronted her rude behavior she says I will get you in but it will be in the lounge as if she's doing me a favor. I'm a paying patron. We all decided that we did not want to support such awful behavior and walked out. This woman made us so uncomfortable if the food was free I would not have ate there. We had a wedge salad, Caesar salad, Gouda au gratin potatoes, balsamic asparagus, jumbo lump crab cakes, the Cajun ribeye (with a blue cheese crumble topping), and a chocolate mousse for dessert. Reading other reviews prior to coming we read that the Cajun ribeye is spicy however we did not feel that at all...it just had a nice flavor to it. When the waiter recommend it, my boyfriend was sold and he is someone who hates spicy! The potatoes for a side were huge. Definitely shareable. The service was very warm and attentive. The service was EXCELLENT. Appetizers - (Get the lamb chops) Try the lamb chops. They were the big winner at the table. I would skip the sushi. The jumbo lump crabmeat was good, but nothing special in terms of the prep. The Blue Point Oysters were not the best I've ever had. But they do a offer a preparation of those raw oysters which involves a small amount of sour cream and caviar, and they were some new for me. Very tasty, too. The caesar salad looked good. I didn't try it. Entrees - (get the Prime Rib, Lobster, or Rack of Lamb) I had the cowboy steak (prime ribeye) which the server recommended over the organic ribeye. It was straight-up over-cooked. I ordered it medium rare, it was medium, maybe med/well. The prime rib (20 oz) was phenomenal. Probably the best I've every had. I was dipping it in drawn butter from my other friend's lobster. The 3 lb. Lobster stuffed with lump crab meat was EXCELLENT. It really was as tender as a 1 1/2 lb. lobster. They did a really good job with that. Sides - Not sure what to recommend. The lobster cavatelli sounded good, but didn't order it. The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes which we did order were good, and enough for 3-4 people to share IMO. Dessert - The desserts were good. Nothing spectacular that I haven't seen before. Price - 5 people was something like $975.00 with gratuity for: 2 bottles wine @ $55/bottle. 5 entrees 7 apps 2 desserts various other cocktails So I wouldn't drive to AC just to eat here, but would definitely go back if I was in AC, especially if I was winning ;) read more

I normally give a restaurant three tries before I make a decision on going back. But after my second time dining here this restaurant has struck out. My husband and I only went this time because we had a $75 hotel comp. When we entered the restaurant, the hostess informed us that she had a romantic booth for us. The booth was in the back near the water and waiter station. Almost like my husband and I were out of sight, out of mind. Interesting, since the restaurant was by no way filled. The bread was perhaps the best thing, warm with two types of butter. I ordered the sampler as an appetizer and it came with a shrimp wrapped in bacon, small barbecued lamb chop and small piece of dark meat chicken. The $17 appetizer was accented with some slaw loaded with vinegar. My entree was advertised as a jumbo lump crab cake with vegetable succotash and sweet corn. The lonely crab cake was loaded with fillers and you could barely taste the crab meat. There was about a tablespoon of the succotash and corn. Mind you, this was a $42 entree. My husband started with a Caesar salad and this was easily shareable as well as pretty tasty for $13. He also had the 16oz prime rib for $34 which was ordered medium but arrived at the table pretty well done. The wait staff was kind and pretty attentive although after each sip of water, they rushed over to refill our glasses. A bit intrusive just for water. I will not return to this restaurant because it is extremely expensive for the small, poorly prepared portions. I forgot to add that everything is a la carte so you would expect the items to be much better. We eat out a lot and are very use to fine dining but this restaurant has missed the mark twice for us. Our waitress was a polite and courteous. As busy as she was, she knew how long we've been waiting and wasted no time in bringing out our bread and taking our orders. I had the 10 oz. filet mignon and it was absolutely delicious! I'd go as far as to say that it was one of the best pieces of steak I've ever had! It was very tender, juicy and melted in my mouth! My wife and I went for our 30th anniversary dinner. Our waiter, Gary, was very quick to take our orders, but failed to tell us the ala carte was family style, and not personal sizes. Of course this jacked up the bill quite a bit... BUT After enjoying our meal, we ordered desert. Upon receiving our check I gave them my explicit directions how to charge our meal VIA comp points, silver status, room credit, etc. Our waiter returns after about 15 minutes and tells us he put our 50$ credit as his tip.... uhm WHAT?????? That was to pay for our meal, by no means did we say that is a tip or authorize him to make that decision on his own. After checking out of the casino the following day I noticed my credit card was charged that 50$ that was used for his tip. I called the casinos customer service number and was told the waiters are NEVER allowed to use any comps or points torwards/for their tip. They have no idea how this could have happened. They told me to call the restaurant for a future credit. I then call the restaurant and left a VM for the manager. This was 5 days ago.... I never received a call back, so I called the assistant manager and have not heard from him either! Absolutely piss poor service. If that's what you call fine dining, then hell I'll take Outback Steakhouse over that crap any day. read more

There was a rubber band in my asparagus plate! I noticed it after I had already ate some of the asparagus. I spoke to the manager. He comped the asparagus and 2 oysters I had however he made me pay for the steak I ordered. The steak: I purchased the second most expensive steak. The meat was tough and lacked flavor. I can get a better steak for 20 bucks in my neighborhood. The manager told me the rubber bands are made so that if they end up in the meal it's not a big deal. I must look like a moron. read more

It isn't surprising but this steakhouse is not for the faint of heart (I'm referring to the pocketbook, not the food). My friend and I decided to sup here prior to a show at Harrahs. Fortunately for us the meal was comped. The maître'd was quite personable and took us to an inviting booth. The white tablecloth was pressed and spotless. The table setting was out of a "how to" manual; perfect. Throughout the visit, servers and bus people were very polite and accommodating. I ordered a Cesar salad that was unusual in that it had plenty of flavor and they didn't spare the anchovies; totally enjoyable. Too often I get a bland salad. We both ordered the 20 oz delmonico steak done medium rare as requested. Seeing as there was a lot of food we decided to split the creamed spinach and baked potato between us. All the food came out piping hot. We were not disappointed as our steaks were excellent which we had hopefully expected. This Steakhouse inside Harrah's Resort, Atlantic City has so much going for it! ...and we never ate in the dining room. After gaming for a while and having spa treatments my friend and I were not really up for a big meal.. so we got side dishes & apps and split. She got the lobster macaroni cheese ($12) and I got the soft shell crab spider rolls ($18) We also got a lovely bottle of Syrah from Montes Alpha one of my favourite Chilean wineries. - $52. So yeah...we spend more money on fine wine than food....and worth every penny! The lobster mac & cheese was topped with crunchy panko crumbs and yes, had quite a nice amount of tender fresh lobster...to,die.for. The spider roll was everything one would want and served with a refreshing small pile of seaweed salad. The soft shell crab was crisp & crunchy and the rice perfectly cooked & seasoned. Victor, our handsome & friendly waiter charmingly let me practice my high school Russian...as he served us with alacrity, humour, and just the right amount of attention. The bread basket that all rave about is certainly worth it! We were trying to make it to the restaurant by 7pm when they have a Happy Hour special in the bar with $9 small plates. From the quality of the food I bet that's a bargain! Morton's Atlantic City Dined 11-26-20 This is a copy of the response I sent to General Manager Joanne Martinez email thanking us for dining there. Still no response. 1. I was called multiple times Thursday asking if I would change my reservation from 8pm to earlier. I did return the first phone call to change my reservation, but whoever I spoke to never changed it and I received another phone call to change my reservation. We own a hair salon and have called clients on occasion asking them to come in earlier, but I have never called the same client multiple times asking them to change their appointment. This is very unprofessional and the table wasn't even ready when we came in at the earlier time requested by you. 2. We also had issues with the service/kitchen. When our appetizers arrived we were told about the desert options and how the chocolate lava cake would take 20 minutes to prepare. Pretty much standard practice at most steakhouses. However when our server came back to ask for our desert order the lava cake was no longer available because the kitchen staff left. This is very unprofessional.
