A vintage gem! I'm so thankful for the current ownership and all they have endured/done to offer this special place to the public at very reasonable tiered prices. The water is magical, amazing cafe, and beautiful setting. Thank you ! I hope some day we can see Morton's opened year round.

Friendly staff and delicious ice soft serve! Kids tried megalodon soft serve challenge and had fun! Clean facility and neat creek at lower area. Lots of parking. Very clean pool, thankful for spring water no chlorine for the hair for-and clean restroom. Nice shady lawn. Would definitely comeback. Cafe service quick and accommodating!

Well, I finally took the plunge (pun intended) and took a visit with my kiddo to Morton's Warm Springs. This is a geothermal spring filtered pool and picnic area off the beaten path around the Glen Ellen area. The drive there is beautiful, farmland, vineyards, 2-lane country roads, the whole shebang, There are 3 pools- 2 for adults and families, and a kids pool for the diaper dependent. The pools could definitely use a facelift. Many tiles missing and it makes the pool look old. I'm from Florida, so I won't swim in water unless it's warm enough to keep the goosebumps away. This water passed the test. Not to hot, not too cold, clean, and despite the warning signs, there was no rotten egg sulfur odor that I could detect. Overall, excluding kids playing, it's relatively calm and quiet. Reservations must be made online and capacity is limited due to COVID. I think my rating would be higher if they would fix up the pool. And although the bathrooms were clean, they were very highway rest stop- like. Unfortunately I was blessed with tricophobia (ah yes- the wonderful fear of loose hairs). Somehow a pube attached to my toe by the pool area, so our visit ended abruptly. Not sure that I would come back again at $50 for 2 ppl. Maybe if there was a no-Pube guarantee

Go early! It was a relaxing time at the Morton's. Plenty of picnic tables with shaded areas.

The best! Make a reservation and order food early, it takes a while to come. So great for babies because the water is so warm!

Are there fragrances used on property? Fragranced hand soap, glade sprays or plug ins, Freebreeze , Diffusers etc?

Our hand soap and shower soap are both lavender from pure essential oils and not strong smelling. There are no sprays or diffusers. The men's urinal screens have a subtle fragrance when we change them out.

    Is this a non-smoking property?

Mostly yes, it is a non-smoking property, except for in one designated area in the front parking lot. Thank you!

But first, the good: their accommodations remain fabulous. We stayed in the Upper Poolside Cottage (Room 10) and it's just wonderful. The Comphy sheets are just heaven. Their bath towels are also plush and luxurious. Two thumbs up for in-room linens! Heated floors in the bathroom and 2-sided fireplace provide nice warmth and comfort. Complimentary snacks and fizzy water in the mini fridge are a nice bonus, too. The poolside cottages are the cat's meow, and just a short hop to the pool and hot tub. But there are several things that I noted during our last visit that made me feel like maybe this may have been our last visit to the Olea. First, there was a goodly amount of trash strewn about the property. At the hot tub, there was a wine bottle cap on the bench (I know, wine country, to be expected, right?), but what truly grossed me out was the wad of used athletic wrap right next to the hot tub. Blech! As I grabbed both of these items and took them to the trash (all of five or six steps from where they had been scattered), I noticed even more bits of trash in the corner area near the planters. Like more trash than would be expected by just one party being messy. (Also, the planter area was weedy and just seemed neglected.) I dismissed it as just not getting some needed attention, until I returned to our cottage and noticed several more pieces of trash right by our front door that I had missed earlier. And apparently so did housekeeping and management. Plus broken tree limbs atop the roof of the main building. And a huge rip in one of the pool lounge chair pads. And a very large hole (~3") in a pool towel. Just signs of general neglect and subpar for this place, especially at their price point. Second and perhaps even more disappointing is how much the included breakfast service has changed. It's gone from a 2-course, made-in-house gourmet affair to a continental style DYI breakfast, apparently now even on the weekends. The only thing made to order is the avocado toast (for obvious reasons). For those guests who hadn't enjoyed the previous offerings, perhaps it doesn't seem too bad. Nice spread. But I sorely miss the delectable morning meals and the awesome homemade chai along with the service for breakfast. I'd give this an updated 3.5 stars but will round up to 4 because I still really want to love this place. Also, Star provided friendly and welcoming service at the front desk, which was appreciated.

Our friends hosted their after-party there and we really got to see how big the location is and conveniently walk back to our room at the end of the night! It's also just a short drive to several wineries and the stunning Jack London State Park. Although we didn't get a chance to use the pool, it looked lovely and peaceful, nestled alongside a river--definitely something we'll look forward to next time. Whose birthday is in March?! Even without staying at the hotel, the day pass was worth every penny. Check-in is seamless, and the locker rooms are fully stocked with easy-to-use lockers, plush robes, slippers, and luxurious bath products. It feels indulgent from the start. The amenities are what truly set this place apart. Outside, you can choose between two large heated pools at different temperatures, plus a hot tub tucked away in the far corner for a quieter soak. Inside, there are two additional hot tubs, a spacious sauna, and a steam room. There are showers with a signature scrub, too. If the weather doesn't cooperate, there are plenty of comfortable indoor lounging areas, including dreamy zero-gravity chairs that make it impossible not to relax. Both visits, we treated ourselves to bottle service, which made the day feel extra special. While I didn't order food, the portions looked generous and the pricing felt fair for a luxury resort experience. The staff is exceptionally well-trained, and a few team members truly went above and beyond both times. We brought cash on our second visit to make sure we could tip appropriately. One thing I will say: if you're looking for a QUIET and ultra-peaceful experience, I would avoid Saturdays. The first time we went (a Sunday), it felt very zen. The second visit was on a Saturday, and there were larger groups celebrating birthdays. Some guests were there to party, and it got loud, specifically at the hot top and indoors. Obviously, that's out of the Fairmont's control, but it's something to keep in mind depending on the vibe you're hoping for. There's honestly no better way to spend a winter day, especially when you can follow it up with a meal at El Molino Central right across the street. Note that parking is validated for a set amount of time (then around $3/hour after), which makes it easy and convenient. I love everything about this place. How about when you first drive up the winding drive, and glimpse the first take of the stunning main building. I arrived at night, so all the ambience from the lighting, the moon, the glimmer off the fountain in the middle of the courtyard. Immediately was struck. Then I walked in to check in at the front desk - and I couldn't have been more welcoming. I had just made the marathon drive from Pasadena, CA, and was just tired, hungry and looking to get to the room and get to dinner. But the warm faces and kind words instantly washed the road away from me (and to be honest, the perfectly chilled glass of local champagne certainly helped that too!). They ensured everything was right with the room and with the stay and so I headed out to pick up the puppy from the car and settle up to the room. And then... there is the story of the puppy. Out of all the hotels and resorts I've stayed in - nothing NOTHING compares to the dog friendly (while still wholly human centric) service at this Fairmont. They made me feel like Chance was as much a guest there as I was. And all that isn't even to mention the concierge, the perfect cocktails from the bartender, the beautiful winding paths that guide you through the campus, the world class spa and massages (note - make SURE you check out the quiet room, nothing like it I've ever seen), the OUTSTANDING breakfast under the trees next to the pool... I just don't have time to list it all here. But the cherry on top - really is the people. They just... they are the magic that infuses everything in the building, everything in the resort, everything in the spa. They were there for me at every turn and at every moment, for every need. I'm a Fairmont member and have stayed at several Fairmont properties, including Banff and Hawaii, so I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, this experience didn't come close to the level of service or value I've come to expect from the brand. If you're in your 30s looking for a fun, relaxing day trip from San Francisco, I'd skip this. It's not about the cost alone. I don't mind paying for quality, but this just didn't deliver enough to justify the price. A disappointing experience and a missed opportunity for what could have been a great destination.
