Nice place and good family picnic area but kind of just like a crowded public pool. I was a bit surprised at the amount of chlorine as it was definitely noticeable and stronger than anticipated. My nephews eyes were so red and painful burning after playing under water. But all in all good day at the place for the most part. read more

Oh, the pools, I brought my nephew 4yrs and niece 1yr old last summer. They were so happy. The water was warm and VERY CLEAN! One yr old was safely crawling around the baby pool. She pulled herself up on the fountain. 4yr was very comfortable playing and making friends. They were able to play independently without so much limitations and just be kids playing. Aside from the subpar food experience, we all had a fun time. The pool was warm and clean. Plenty of lawn space to lay out and have a picnic as well as tables. The bathrooms were a little creepy and reminded me of a horror movie but I've experienced worse. Cafe 108 was very disappointing. We did not go on opening day. This was a private event for homeschool families. The wait to order and then get your food was insanely long. Not to mention, insanely overpriced. Came here today (a Saturday) with my partner and toddler and it exceeded all expectations. My toddler has not loved swimming to date, but she loved the toddler pool today. We had a hard time getting her to leave! Then we enjoyed a picnic on the lawn. Arrived at 10:30 am, when the palm tree cast a substantial and very welcome shadow over the shallow pool, left at noon. It was perfect. I didn't try to food but saw it was pricey - bring your own. The bathroom was damp and rusty as you'd expect, so just handle your business and leave. Perfect. The hot springs pools were clean and safely monitored by a lifeguard. We forgot our towels and it was easy to rent ones. Mix of sun and shade. Plenty of nice lawn chairs. Biggest surprise? The cafe is fantastic. So delicious. We had a tomato salad that tasted like they were on the vine seconds ago. The grilled cheese was simple and delicious. Not fancy, but a great find. read more

really unfortunate experience. Was so excited to check this place out after driving by so many times. On arriving I was told to go to drive down to the lot (which is across the bridge). in driving around a turn a very large sidewalk jutted out about 4 feet into the road with a 8inch curb. This was not marked in anyway (no paint) and no signage. Tried to enjoy the facilities while I waited for AAA, (the creek is really beautiful) but opted not to use the pool as there was a woman in the bathroom who had just had an "accident" in the pool. Members of staff came up to ask what had happened, and stated that they had contemplated fixing the curb but just 'never got around to it'. At no point did anyone offer tickets to come back and try again. In total a fun afternoon ended up costing 400$. Really unfortunate... I don't post on yelp at all but this was pretty messed up read more

This was the first time I about 30 years that my wife and I along with our young children were there. My wife had discussed it with our grown children if they wanted to go there with our grandchildren for a family picnic and they said they would love to. It ended up that we also invited our two nieces and their families to go with us along with a few of their extended family and a couple friends. Upon arrival we checked in and found a very nice area to meet up and use for barbecuing some food along with the extras that everyone brought. The area was well maintained and was absolutely amazing. Well, I finally took the plunge (pun intended) and took a visit with my kiddo to Morton's Warm Springs. This is a geothermal spring filtered pool and picnic area off the beaten path around the Glen Ellen area. The drive there is beautiful, farmland, vineyards, 2-lane country roads, the whole shebang, There are 3 pools- 2 for adults and families, and a kids pool for the diaper dependent. The pools could definitely use a facelift. Many tiles missing and it makes the pool look old. I'm from Florida, so I won't swim in water unless it's warm enough to keep the goosebumps away. This water passed the test. Not to hot, not too cold, clean, and despite the warning signs, there was no rotten egg sulfur odor that I could detect. Overall, excluding kids playing, it's relatively calm and quiet. Reservations must be made online and capacity is limited due to COVID. I think my rating would be higher if they would fix up the pool. And although the bathrooms were clean, they were very highway rest stop- like. Unfortunately I was blessed with tricophobia (ah yes- the wonderful fear of loose hairs). Somehow a pube attached to my toe by the pool area, so our visit ended abruptly. I haven't been here since I was a kid maybe 20 years ago. Apparently they have been closed down for a while and were recently under new ownership and they have the resort up and running again. We went here about a month ago on a weekend with a few friends, and it was exactly how I remembered it from when I went when I was a kid!!! It looks the same, the pools were still nice and warm, the picnic area was great, there's lots of good hiking and river spots too! It's a great place to go and relax and just hang out. We had a great time. I only have two complaints about this place from when we recently went. I had gone online and looked at their website to see prices and when they were open. It said on the weekends they were open from 10 AM to 6 PM and we went there on a Saturday. It also said on the website that they were doing renovations in the kitchen so they wouldn't have any food or drinks for sale. But that it would be done by the end of 2016. So I assumed when we went there that we could just buy our food and drinks. Because it was kind of a last minute trip and we didn't want to bring any lunch or any drink. It would just be convenient for us to eat there. So right when we get there we see that the kitchen is closed and it is still apparently under renovations. So they don't have any type of food or drink at all. So that kind of sucked because we had to go back down into the little town and go to the deli and get sandwiches and drinks and snacks. So that was kind of annoying. Anyways we still had a really good day the weather was great the pools felt great. I think we were in the water all day long LOL. But then 5 o'clock came and they told us we had to get out. When it's set on their website that they were open until 6 PM. We asked them about this and they said that it was only for their people that had memberships I guess? I don't know, It didn't say anything like that on the website. So it was kind of annoying to have to get kind of kicked out I guess, when we were expecting to stay there another full hour. Anyways those are my two complaints about this place. However I will obviously give it another chance because I really loved it there. And they are new back in business so it'll take them a while to work out their kinks I suppose. I plan to come here lots of more times during the summer and I still recommend it to all my friends and family! read more

Plenty of space for a blanket and there are many picnic tables. No food in the pool area itself. Very organized from check-in to parking on a recent Saturday. A little cafe sells coffee and snacks. My son and I had a blast here. It's more like an old-timey California mineral springs compound than a luxury spa. Like remember Indian Springs, Calistoga 20 years ago? Before you had to pay $600 to swim? This is it. I'm giving five stars because it's exactly what this California native was looking for -- my oakey, golden-grain nature, hot springs, sun and unpretentious family fun. If you're looking for a spa treatment, the closest you'll come is having the baby trout nip your toes in the creek! We were met by friendly and knowledgeable staff at the gate. Lifeguards were great and attentive (also LOVED the california state tattoo--I feel the same way bro!). The pools were lovely ~85 degrees, and on a 90 degree day that felt great. Locker rooms were sparse but clean. The creek areas were lovely as well. Very well kept and rustic at the same time. We found where the mineral springs bubble up! The families there were friendly and fun to visit with. I want to plan to have a party here before summer is out. Word to the wise -- grab a chair in the shade if you can. They are at a premium! Bring your lake shoes to go in the creek. Also snack bar is still under renovation as of 7/7/17. read more

I took my family to Morton's on August 12. The pools are warm and clean. It's a really beautiful area. The bathrooms are old, possibly original which is ok but they could have been cleaner. My major complaint is the yellow jackets. The lawn/picnic area was over run with them. The staff was well aware of the issue and warned us when we arrived. Eating lunch was an impossible and miserable experience. My daughter ended up getting stung/bitten which cut our day short. I didn't see very many yellow jacket/wasp traps out so I'm not sure how hard they were trying to find a solution. Had I known the yellow jackets were a problem I would have brought our pop up with the screen sides. We pre paid for tickets that were emailed to us so the staff could have warned us via email of the issue they were having. Our party of 12 was disappointed. Not sure this would be a place we would revisit. read more

After living in Sonoma County for 16 years and driving past the "Morton's Warm Springs" sign more times than I can count, we decided to make a reservation and check it out. Our son is learning to swim and we thought that a day in the pool would help get him some additional practice. Little did we know that this was going to be a day of fun. First, the pools are beautiful and are the perfect temperature. Not too hot and not too cold. Our son had fun in the smaller pool, where he was able to touch the bottom almost the full length of the pool. The larger pool had adult hours from 10 AM - Noon, which allowed folks some less chaotic time in the warmth of the water. With it being a Sunday, we were able to take advantage of the full snack bar, which did not disappoint. My son and hubby had hot dogs and I had the grilled cheese and salad. Everything was so yummy. The soft serve was also a big hit. Note - try the Megalodon, it's a huge soft serve that is $12 but if you finish it in 2 minutes or less, it's free. My husband took the challenge, an although you will not get a chance to savor the yummy soft serve, it is a fun challenge (which my husband was successful at). As a tip, I would suggest arriving early to get a chair at the pool, and while we did not use the grassy area across from the pool, I can see how it would be a great option if you wanted to bring your own food and drinks and have a nice BBQ. We did not expect to spend a full day here, but 5 hours seemed to pass in a blink of an eye. We can't wait to go back! read more

A great fruit place for the kids overall. Food is delicious but takes a long time once ordered. The $4.50 sparkling water came from a soda stream which they carbonate themselves and was not as bubbly as it should've been. I request the lovely people that on this resort to post a sign warning is a hot temperature of the sink in the bathroom. Kids are washing hands! The help was indeed knowledgeable and friendly and warm. But no food or drink other than water by the pool? Makes for a less relaxing time poolside for this particular bather. The negative is the springs "Pools" are barely warm in fact it was so cold that my wife never got in the pool. I suffer from arthritis and some skin problems and mineral hot springs help my conditions. This spring did not and that was a disappointment. I enjoyed relaxing and swimming here recently when I dropped off some friends in nearby Sonoma. Very low key neighborhood swimming pools filled with natural mineral water (1 for babies/toddlers, 1 for families and 1 with a 9.5 feet depth) right next to the trickling waters of Sonoma Creek and a grassy picnic area. Venue is not a "resort" per se, as amenities are very basic bare bones and parking lot fits about 15 cars. Adult admission is $12/day regardless if you enter when they open or 1 hour before they close. They do have a lifeguard on duty and some floatie tubes and noodles for guests to borrow/use. They also require that you use the showers in the changing/bathroom before entering the pools. There's an indoor ping pong table too. Crowds were reasonable on a Thursday late afternoon. read more

This is a hidden treasure. It's like a trip back in time, when if you reserved the wrong date and showed up on the wrong day, they let you in anyway, instead of keeping your money. This is the kind of place you can take your grandkids and not worry about drunk patrons and loud music. The staff are all polite and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your visit. I went on a week day and had a good time but I highly suggest avoiding weekends at all cost it was a waste of a sunday I say until they stop over selling avoid weekends for sure . My family has been coming to Morton's for generations. It's had it's ups and downs over the years but it's definitely on an up, these days! The snack bar is now a full fledged cafe, with lattes, gourmet sandwiches, etc. The grounds are being taken care of beautifully, once again. They raised their prices to $15.00 per adult which is ridiculous!!! I paid around 8 last yr . I was so disgusted by the price hike , we were 5 adults and 3 kids . One still a toddler ..we paid a total of 75.00 dollars ! Expensive since we only stayed 3 hrs but inside the pool only an hr . The water was pretty cold but overall didnt stop me from getting in . Lots of youngsters and family . Clean, and nice staff ... I probably wont be coming back . The prices are way to high for adults . Ill stick to community pools. Also id like to add that this is not a place for people who want to retreat, to a nice, warm and quiet area. Kids will always be kids so i suggest getting a membership at a gym . read more

Got as living social deal and went to check out the springs. The water is spring in origin but warm is a bit of an overstatement. The water was refreshing on a warm inland day and the property was clean and well maintained. Parking space and lounge chairs were difficult to come by but that did not stop us from having a great time. We came here to checkout the place bought their promotion from living social, apparently it looks like most of the people comes here were only guest from living social. We wanted to go swim because we are already there but they don't even have a towel service you have to bring your own. You can see the pools outside and one of the pool is filthy you can see the algae, it looks like an abandoned pool that is not up kept. I don't need to get in to make a review i guess it's good enough that I drove hour and half to go checked the place my self if it's worth a try despite of all the reviews from yelp "I should have listen" lol read more

I'm pretty sure this place is run by teenagers. We've been there several times and each time the only people on staff were kids --- the lifeguards, the check in area --- all kids. I don't really have a problem with that, in fact, it kind of makes for a good story. And for a place being run by children, it's pretty clean and well kept. But if something were to go wrong, I shudder to think of how things would get handled. I bet these kids have some great parties off hours though. Which reminds me, all the signs say they close at 5pm BUT what they don't tell you is that the pool closes at 4pm. The picnic area stays open until 5 which is mostly useless. Also, make sure you check Groupon or Living Social for discounted rates if you're going to go. You can basically get in for almost 50% off the standard price. read more

Like a step back in time. Really large and deep pool that is a wonderful temperature as it comes right out of the stream - The minerals in the water make you so buoyant! Plus no chemicals in the water - we loved it. The new owners are doing a fantastic job of keeping things clean and simple. This is not a luxury resort, it is a relaxing old-fashioned place for family and friends to relax and unwind. Rolling lawn, picnic tables, bbq areas for groups, you can even walk along a path next to the stream. Strauss soft serve available & a big drum of complimentary mineral waters to refresh and revive you while you are there. Bring your own container to enjoy the water! I wouldn't ever really use this place for picnics (well it is only 10 mins from my house, tops), because when your not IN the water it seems to smell like... sewage. I think this is from the nearby creek being dried up. However, the large pool in the deep in hasn't ever been over crowded (even on a saturday afternoon!) and the pools feel amazing on a hot day. Great place to take a dip, especially if you're a local. Also you can park for free or in VIP for $5, a plus for some people - really the only advantage to VIP parking is you dont have to walk by the stinky creek! :) read more
