Clean & very comfortable bed plus nice vintage art on the walls
    Giselle M.

A 5-star stay for so many reasons! Let's start with Dana, who checked us in, and was just a ray of sunshine! She instantly greeted my hubby and I when we stepped into the main office, and made us feel like welcomed & valued guests. She even sent me a text once we were in our room to make sure we were all good, and another after we checked out to say that she hoped we enjoyed our stay! On the day of check in, we called to see if there was a chance to have a slightly earlier check in (like an hour earlier), but unlike most hotels, this one seems to be run like a smaller, more intimate B&B, so we were told that we'd likely have to wait until 4pm. It was also the night before the half marathon we were in town for, so understandably, the inn was probably more busy/full too. Once checked in, we got into our room and were so pleasantly surprised! Thoughtful details like local vintage art hung up on the walls, ample space in the room, a rather large bathroom with a nice big, solid door, and absolutely clean and home-y feel overall. We loved it! Checked all the boxes that we needed for a 1-night stay for a race, and then some! Bed was clean and comfortable, water pressure in the shower was great, and lots of extra details you wouldn't typically expect from a little inn, like a full-sized desk, armoire with TV, cushioned leather chair, a bench, vintage art/images on the lampshades, lots of shelves in the bathroom and vanity lights, and pretty tiled bathtub/shower walls. Just overall very charming! Only a few minutes drive from Sonoma Plaza/downtown Sonoma, and a great place to stay if you're in town for a special event, wine tasting, and/or exploring all the wonderful things that Sonoma has to offer.

Roses in their little outside area.

Clean, responsive staff and comfortable digs. Reasonable prices and right where you want to be if you want a quiet place that's priced right. Good bang for your buck. The hospitality staff was great! We're coming back again!

Dog friendly and so are the staff

Nice cute lil spot to stay in, quiet friendly easy to get to. Definitely will come back again. If you're ever in Sonoma California check them out.

I measured the length of the pool in Google satellite view and it's about 20 yards so you can get some decent laps in. There are seating areas in and near the lobby; my team had a spot to play board games in the hallway one night. We had a meeting room right off the bar for a small 3-day conference. We had some natural light coming through frosted windows but no direct. There was another room in a separate building with natural light that looked really great, but ours was fine too. We thoroughly enjoyed the s'mores + hot toddy night and the hand-painted ornament workshop. We may need to return again during the holidays. From the get go, the manager and workers were all so friendly and helpful. There were initially some issues with dynamic pricing, but they were able to correct things on the back end, which was much appreciated. The main building and breakfast area are both very warm and inviting. The couches and seats are comfortable. There are games and books in the cabinet areas too. The chef provides a tasty breakfast each day, with the menu slightly changing. There is coffee, tea, and hot/cool water available all day. It can get a little crowded at breakfast, so if you are in a large group, go either very early or very late. The afternoon happy hour is pretty relaxed with some offerings of cheese, crackers, and wine. Be sure to ask for gluten-free options, as they have them available. They also prepared nice chocolates for my parents (anniversary) and a cookie for my nephew (birthday), which was a lovely touch. The rooms are fine, some are a little darker and/more dated, but that didn't bother us. The one thing that I would've done differently, is to bring an eye mask and ear plugs. Depending on where your room is located, you could be facing the main street. The doors in certain buildings would slam pretty loudly, so if you had neighbors returning late at night, you would definitely hear them. I am a little fussy with beds, and I found the Vitners King (seemed more like a Cali King?) bed to be a little firm and transferred movement easily. We would consider splurging for the updated rooms next time. Bonus that they have cruiser bikes to borrow. It was very nice to go for a quick ride one of the mornings. The location is fantastic, it's within walking distance to downtown. There are so many great restaurants to visit. In addition, wineries and parks are also a close drive away. Overall a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our visit, thank you!

The location is excellent, with the plaza, downtown restaurants, shopping, and a lovely park all within easy walking distance. Parking was also convenient and free. Throughout our stay, the staff members we encountered were pleasant and welcoming. The inn also offered complimentary wine-and-cheese each afternoon, which was a nice touch. Our first-floor King room (number 7) overlooked the parking lot and was located right off the lobby. The room was dark, dated, and much smaller than expected. It felt sparse and lacked adequate horizontal surfaces. With only one luggage rack and limited space to set luggage, our second suitcase had to sit on a small corner table. We requested an additional rack, but none were available. The décor was underwhelming--blank walls with no artwork, covered hanging light bulbs instead of bedside lamps, and two chairs that looked in need of reupholstering. While there was a fireplace, using it comfortably required moving furniture, which then made circulation around the bed tight. The bathroom also needed updating; it was small with a tub/shower/plastic curtain, poorly lit, and had minimal counter space. A permanent sign instructing guests to run the sink slowly--due to known drainage issues--was an unfortunate detail that stood out. And the downside of a first-floor room with limited sound insulation was significant noise from the room above as well as in the hallway, which was at times disruptive.  Breakfast was included and changed daily. Chef Sal deserves particular praise--his breakfasts, homemade breads, and cookies were excellent and easily a highlight of the stay. The only disappointment at breakfast was the coffee, which was extremely weak and never hot enough. Fortunately, there's a Peet's Coffee directly across the street, and judging by the number of fellow inn guests we saw there each morning, we weren't alone in that assessment. Overall, while the location and breakfasts were strong positives, the room quality made this stay a disappointment given the price point. There are likely better options in the area. On a positive note, we continued on to Milliken Creek Inn in Napa (another Four Sisters property) which we found to be outstanding in every respect-a gorgeous, impeccably managed property.

How about when you first drive up the winding drive, and glimpse the first take of the stunning main building. I arrived at night, so all the ambience from the lighting, the moon, the glimmer off the fountain in the middle of the courtyard. Immediately was struck. Then I walked in to check in at the front desk - and I couldn't have been more welcoming. I had just made the marathon drive from Pasadena, CA, and was just tired, hungry and looking to get to the room and get to dinner. But the warm faces and kind words instantly washed the road away from me (and to be honest, the perfectly chilled glass of local champagne certainly helped that too!). They ensured everything was right with the room and with the stay and so I headed out to pick up the puppy from the car and settle up to the room. And then... there is the story of the puppy. Out of all the hotels and resorts I've stayed in - nothing NOTHING compares to the dog friendly (while still wholly human centric) service at this Fairmont. They made me feel like Chance was as much a guest there as I was. And all that isn't even to mention the concierge, the perfect cocktails from the bartender, the beautiful winding paths that guide you through the campus, the world class spa and massages (note - make SURE you check out the quiet room, nothing like it I've ever seen), the OUTSTANDING breakfast under the trees next to the pool... I just don't have time to list it all here. But the cherry on top - really is the people. They just... they are the magic that infuses everything in the building, everything in the resort, everything in the spa. They were there for me at every turn and at every moment, for every need. I'm a Fairmont member and have stayed at several Fairmont properties, including Banff and Hawaii, so I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, this experience didn't come close to the level of service or value I've come to expect from the brand. If you're in your 30s looking for a fun, relaxing day trip from San Francisco, I'd skip this. It's not about the cost alone. I don't mind paying for quality, but this just didn't deliver enough to justify the price. A disappointing experience and a missed opportunity for what could have been a great destination.
