Ordered for lunch today, seriously was not that good as it used to be. The sesame chicken was huge thick pieces and so much breading that had zero crisp to it at all. I was born and raised around Chinatown in Chicago. As we gotr older, my friends and I would make that our last stop of the night, well, actually morning, you know 2, 3, 4, O'clock. This past Thursday we had some friends comiong over for dinner, and we all decided on Chinese. Well, we ordered Egg Rolls, Combination Egg Foo Young, Beef and Gravy, Shrimp, and Lobster Sauce, and Green Beans and Chicken. Also ordered some Pan Fried Noodles, and we gort an order of Friend Rice for free. Well, that say free, but we spent quite abit. Was plesently surprised. Everything was really good. We used to go to Sun Sun 2, near Frankfort, but, under new management, went there like normal,, "Ain't" goin there anymore. Portions were smaller then normal, and not as good as it used to be. Haven't been to Mo's for awhile and was honestly ready to be disappointed as I have been with certain restaurants lately. I am happy to say that Mo's continues to make delicious food. I don't think you can find very many decent Chinese restaurants in New Lenox, but I would say this one is pretty tasty. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes pretty authentic. I ordered the seafood fried rice. It had an abundance of seafood and was very tasty. It was nicely cooked and well-seasoned. I also ordered the beef chow fun. It was good, but the noodles were overly cooked so they were crispy, which I don't really like. The portions are big so you'll have plenty of leftovers. They are going to open a new part to their restaurant to accommodate more people. read more

Unfortunately this place is hit or miss. Too many times have the sweet and sour chicken been 40-60% breading. Ingredients are ok, taste is good but not great. At the price point, we prefer Rising Sun 10 out of 10 times. The only time we order from here is because it is a 20 second car ride from our house and we are in a hurry. They aren't the worst we have had, but very far from the best. read more

Mo's is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants and I've been stuck in another state due to Covid. So I was really excited to have it when I came back to visit. I ordered the crab Rangoon and sweet and sour chicken lunch combo for $15.70. I noticed an increase in price which is fine because they're good. The crab Rangoon is just as I remember and it's very hard to find a place that makes it properly. 5/5 for them but I did notice they're not as filled as they use to be. The chicken has definitely improved because it's less breading and more chicken chunks which I appreciate. The egg roll does taste a little off. It's sour but also sweet, wasn't a fan. My biggest complaint is the rice. They use to have green onion and bean sprouts which is why it was one of my favorite places to get fried rice. I did notice someone else comment that they had changed the rice but I was hoping it was a fluke. It really ups the flavor of the fried rice so it's disappointing they changed that. read more

Probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. I guess I probably should've known when I walked in and there was nobody there-- in the middle of lunch hour. I asked if there was a lunch special and she directed me to the back of the menu. I start looking over the options, and go with my favorite, pad Thai. It states that lunch comes with a cup of soup so I asked what the soup was. She told me lunch isn't served with soup. I point out on the menu where it clearly says served with soup. She goes "no we give rice only"... but I got a noodle dish, why do I need rice. Needless to say, she brought me an egg drop soup, which tasted disgusting. At that point I asked if they had a veggie potsticker. She said yes, so I went ahead and ordered some. Well one thing that I hate is when an appetizer is brought out with your main course; besides for in this case. The potstickers were balls of sticky fried dough. I wish I was able to say the entree made up for all... but it didn't. I thought I ordered pad thai, they brought me angel hair pasta with a combination of sweet and sour sauce and ketchup. Now think to yourself how disgusting that is. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my meal and was given 50% off the dough balls. Save yourself the troubles, go to Wendy's in the plaza, it will be much much better! read more

I ordered from this restaurant all the time when I was in middle and high school back when it was primarily a take-out restaurant. I was surprised to see the new renovations when I came in today. In the last few year they expanded from a simple take-out restaurant with just three table to a full restaurant with plenty of room for groups. The service during the lunch hour was okay, however, we had several different waiters throughout the course of our one meal. This normally wouldn't be a big deal but somewhere along the way the soup that we were supposed to receive with our lunch special was lost and we had to request it once we already done with our entree. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken lunch special. It came with chicken fried rice and an egg roll for sides. The food here has not changed a bit since I last came here but that isn't always a good thing... The chicken flavor was dominated by the heavy coating of the breading. It was not enjoyable. The rice was very dry and in my opinion over cooked. I can see why I stopped frequenting this place, even though it was nice to take a stroll down memory lane by eating here again. read more

Just tried it for the second time. First time we thought it was delicious and the pickup service in-store was impeccable. Last night we ordered it via DoorDash and the food came fresh and tasty. I'm a fried rice not and the Shrimp fried rice was sublime. The sweet and sour chicken was above average and the portion size was large! My boyfriend told me about this place. He had been to the Mo's in Orland park, but since we lived closer to the one in new Lenox that's where we went. This Mo's isn't really visible from the Main Street. We passed it, and had to turn back around. Mo's was completely dead inside. The employees actually had all of the lights turned off in the dining room, and I thought they were closing, but actually had one hour of business left (they close at 10pm.) That probably isn't the greatest idea to turn all of your lights off like because people might think you're closed. I hate to be that bitch that shows up at close wanting half of the menu!! Anywho my boyfriend and I were seated and ordered dinner. Crispy beef caught my eye so I went for it. It was pretty damn good I have to say! Nice and crunchy with a sweet glaze. I was in heaven. I originally wanted to go for salt & pepper smelt, but I'll try that next time! The egg rolls were good as well. I really like the pot stickers. They had a nice grilled texture to the actual dumpling that was really good. I tried my boyfriends Mongolian beef and it was good. I really recommend trying the Virgin piña colada! Omg was it awesome!!!!! I was totally caught off guard by how good that drink was!!! I felt like a beached whale when I left Mo's. We haven't been ordering Chinese much lately, although the boyfriend does order sometimes from Dragon Palace because he likes their BBQ pork appetizer, but last night I was in the mood for Chinese. I went to Yelp and actually saw my review from 2010 where I praised the place, so we placed our order promptly. We ordered the crab rangoons--very yummy as I thought back then plus they actually reheated well in the microwave! The BF got the Bar-B-Q pork Cantonese Chow Fun, and he was super happy with it last night and when he reheated it today. I was in the mood for spicy, so I went with the Szechwan chicken. I liked it, but I wish I'd gotten the Kung Pao--there was nothing wrong with what I ordered, I just like Kung Pao sauce better. I'm happy with the reusable plastic containers (perfect for packing a lunch), delivery is quick, and it's just really fun to say I'm ordering from Mo's. I do believe it's the best Chinese place in New Lenox. read more
