Our go to Asian food restaurant. The food is amazingly delicious. And service is always great. The crab Rangoon and the lo mein are such comfort foods for me personally but my family loves the pad Thai and gyoza. Honestly there's nothing here that's been bad. I've been coming here for years. The food is good, but the service has consistently been disappointing. Most recently, I went in to pick up an order and the woman at the counter--who seemed to be the owner or a family member--was rude. I paid by card, and when I didn't leave a tip, she became visibly upset. When I asked if something was wrong, I was told to leave. So I did--and I won't be back. I don't understand the tipping culture that's developing. I always tip well (usually 25% or more) in full-service restaurants. But picking up an order I placed and drove to get myself does not warrant the same kind of tip. If the staff is friendly, I'll sometimes throw a few dollars in the jar, but that's different. The more customers are pressured into tipping for everything, the more restaurants will rely on that instead of paying their employees fairly. Because of how I was treated, they've lost my business. We were craving good Chinese since we moved from here a couple years ago & we don't have good Chinese in Florida. I ordered through GrubHub for pick up today. I had the sesame chicken lunch special which is I believe around nine dollars. It came with sesame chicken, chicken fried rice and one eggroll. The chicken fried rice was actually probably one of my favorites I've had in a while and the eggroll was really good. The sesame chicken was ok, next time I probably would order something different. I really liked the crab Rangoon it was delicious. They do have a lot of parking in a shared lot with other restaurants and businesses. read more

Had read all the positive reviews and so anxious to try Five Fong Chef. Ordered our old Chinese stand by - beef egg foo young, Mongolian beef, and egg rolls. My husband liked his egg foo young because the gravy was on the side. My Mongolian beef was terribly bland and the pieces of beef, although few and far between, were crispy. Enough of that. I thought I'd try an egg roll. Again, one bite. Tasteless. Ok. There's always fortune cookies. First cookie good. Second cookie. No fortune. Bad sign. Maybe a forewarning of the abdominal discomfort to come which lasted all evening. This is a quaint and well-maintained carryout establishment. Our order for pick-up was: crab rangoons, egg rolls (one order comes with 2), Mongolian beef, and chicken pad thai. Small little shop in the corner of other stores but when I walked in and received my food I was in pleasantly surprised. The price was very cheap so I wasn't expecting much but I was given an enormous portion of chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken and an egg roll. The food's quality is decent and the taste is great for the price. I always get the lunch or dinner special and it tastes great every time. I get a meal that can fill up not just me but one of my loved ones too for only 13 bucks, and that's surprising for me because I can eat a lot. Love this place. Today we ordered garlic beef, basil pad thai with chicken and pad thai with tofu (not on the menu, but I asked for it and they were gracious enough to make it). All three of us were very happy with our meals. The tofu that I had with my pad thai was the most delicious tofu I've ever had--slightly crispy, in a delicious sauce.
