We had people over last weekend and ordered a BUNCH of food from Mo's. A few of the people were from the burbs and hadn't had MO's before. They couldn't believe how good the wings, salad and pizza were and that it was delivered hot and fresh to our door. The wings really are incredible. Let me first say that I've been coming here since I was a little kid. The chicken wings are so good. They are one of the few places that will serve wings swimming in hot sauce. The pizza overall is good, the past few times I've been they kinda slumped. The cheese had a cheddar taste to it and it was the first time I've never been able to finish my pizza there. I discovered this very down-to-earth pizza joint at random. I tried it out with my daughter and we both loved it. It's very casual, the price is reasonable, and the food is, in my daughter's words, "Amazing." The lunch crowd seems mostly business types, but the atmosphere is welcoming of anyone. A delightful little hole in the wall - plenty of parking out front - very casual - pub tables give it a tavern feel - I tried them for lunch - My Mo's Special pizza slice was very tasty, - my friends had the buffalo chicken sandwich w/chips & the veggie delight sandwich w/chips - we had to order a extra side of those homemade potato chips because they were just that good. I have only been here twice now. The first time was about 6 months ago and the next will probably be in another 6 months when I've forgotten again. This time around I just ordered a slice of cheese and was pretty disappointed. If pizza is in your name, one expects good pizza, but the sauce tastes very canny and the cheese is too much. The outside seating though is good and I remembered afterwards that I'd gotten lasagna the first time; it wasn't particularly memorable one way or the other. Stopped in today for a late lunch. While looking at the menu, the lady behind the counter started squawking at us for drink orders...very odd since we were the only people waiting to order. So we gave her our drink orders and then decided on food. We placed our food order and all the while, this lady was barking at the other girl behind the counter about adding up receipts or something. Again, that was odd. We ordered a salad and a few slices. The Salad was pretty good veggies were fresh, but the dressing was really oily. The slices were just ok. The crust was bland and the sauce was too thick. They were obviously re-heated which I expect when ordering slices. However, the crust was pretty burnt. I REALLY used to like Mo's, my wife and I ordered delivery from there at least once a week for several months. But then today I called to place my weekly delivery order, and Jennifer told me that I'm a mile outside their delivery zone and that they can't come out here. Even though they've made at least 20 trips to my house, and it's never been a problem.... I work 12-13 hour days, usually not getting home until nearly 9:00 at night, and places like this are a godsend because I rarely have time to cook during the week. It really sucks having the rug pulled out from under you like that, especially when you've been a regular customer and given them a lot of business. So if you're looking for a place that values customer loyalty, don't waste your time with Mo's, they just don't care. read more

Haha...Some of these reviews are cracking me up!! I'm the kind of guy that likes to travel. When I go to other cities, I always prefer to hunt down the 'local' hangouts...I have no interest in the glitz and glamor of brand familiarity like your Hardrock Cafe's or Applebees, etc. If I'm at a pizza joint, I don't need some inauthentic hype or fake smiles or flair in my face. I like REAL places filled with REAL people - and that's what Mo's is. It's our own community's little local hangout. I've been going there for many, many years. It's a locally run pizza place owned by the same guy, making the same pizza, under the same roof. The employees are consistently good people that always make me feel welcome - in a locals kind of way. Meaning, they aren't kissing ass and have no problem joking around - there's a mutual respect. I like that. If there's ever a problem, I have no problem bringing it up...and they have never had a problem taking care of it. If an employee is having a shitty day, I get it - I've read some of these reviews...there are some real entitled snobs in our community, too, unfortunately. But, you won't get that shit from me, guys. Keep up what you're doing!!! Out of every restaurant in our community's 5 year radius, I'd, hands down, miss you the most. read more

You can't bet free pizza with the help of ScoutMob. I can't really say much about this restaurant but what I experienced, I got free cheese pizza tastes good and a chocolate chip cookie pretty good. This place rocks! The straws are top notch. I recommend the lunch wraps and the fried mozzarella sticks, the honey mustard is heavenly. Great drink selection and the wait staff always refill my drinks. The specials are always new and interesting. This is billed as a pizza place but they have lots of other interesting stuff and it's always reasonably priced. read more

I've been here a few times but stopped going because I've been on a health kick. And the last two times I went, I had ordered a salad and then got diarrhea both times - too much of a coincidence. The first few times I went I ordered a slice of pizza that was okay, nothing to write home about. But I've always been suspicious of the sanitary conditions here because the whole place always has this wet rag odor to it, as if the rags being used to wipe down surfaces have not been washed in a while. Next time you're there, take a deep breath. You'll see what I mean. I've lived in the area all my life to the extent that I went to LHS right down the road. Like everyone else has said Mo's is THE neighborhood pizza place. I honestly can't say much about the pizza though since I've only had the cheese and the margarita (the cheese was years ago) The Margarita pizza Is the bomb if you like pizza with no tomato sauce but plenty of actual tomato, and the flavor is awesome! That being said grab some napkins its about to get a bit greasy. My FAVE dish there however is the Parmesan chicken sandwich, the cheese is layered just right on it, the sauce is epic, and they give you a thick piece of chicken that is cooked ( i think ) perfectly. Get it with a good beer and follow up with a slice of Oreo Cheesecake and you'll see why everyone in the neighborhood keeps the place alive! Ah, I love Mo's. read more

I must be missing something... I just don't get it. I have been to Mo's numerous times over the years. On each occassion, I leave thinking what is the big deal? The pizza is mediocre (not good, not bad, just ok). The crust suffices, the sauce is too sweet and rather without any significant seasoning, pepperoni was paper thin and tasteless, the mushrooms were difficult to find. The side salad was a bowl of iceberg lettuce, two slices of a plum tomato (the size of two quarters), sprinkled with a spattering of shaved mozarella.... ho hum. Pizza is so-so. Sandwiches are a better bet, especially the roast beef special, grilled cheese and GA Reuben. Bistro salad is huge and very good. Garlic knots with cheese are just plain awesome. Be warned: being a "family" place, it can get overrun with shrieking toddlers and parents who think it's perfectly fine to let their brood run wild around the restaurant. Kitchen at times also seems to have problems grasping such complicated concepts as no onions on the salad or putting the right three toppings on a pizza slice. The main reasons I keep going are Kevin the owner, a really nice guy, and servers Jen, Erica & Lindsey. These gals are awesome and always have a smile. Went back to Mo's a couple years ago after not going for about 5 or 6 years. The pizza is definitely better than it used to be, not greasy at all. Great sandwiches & soups also. Garlic knots are to die for. I like that you can get a slice here anytime, not just at lunch. The biggest reasons I go: friendly staff, super nice owner & I can go here by myself to have a beer and/or read without being bothered. Dirty feet do you really want to eat? May, 4 2015' 8:30pm. We were exiting the restaurant when we noticed a young barefoot man with his feet propped up in the bar stool at one of the adjoining tables. I kindly asked one of the young servers to have him at least put his shoes on and I was quickly dismissed by her stating "oh we don't care about that, we clean the seats every night". I couldn't help but feel bad for the next unsuspecting customer to sit in that seat before the end of the evening. This may seem trivial to some people, but you have to wonder about something. If they are so cavalier about that, how much do they care about other code violations? As for me, definitely the last time I will patronize this place. read more

Visiting relatives in the area and we ate at Mo's a couple of times during our trip - twice for dinner, once for lunch. We tried several items from the menu and they were all great! Everything tasted fresh and you can tell that the specials change daily, unlike some pizza/bar type places where it is the same "specials" every day. The staff is friendly, attentive and accommodating even when the place is packed. The owner checks on everyone and chatted with us for a while. He makes the pizza dough himself every day, explained how he uses fresh, local ingredients foe everything. Nice selection of beer & wine. Bistro salad was delicious. Ham & brie panini really hit the spot one evening. Did I mention the pizza? We are from Chicago, so we like to think we know a good pizza when we taste one. The pizza is what brought us back so many times. Every combo was delish and the dough was just the right amount of crispy crust wrapped around a nice, chewy doughy bite of yum. Mo's pizza is pretty good in my opinion but like the many reviews already here the service is very bad. I have gotten delivery and picked up my food. I will just share one recent experience. I will never get delivery again, not because of the speed of delivery but because of the quality of the food sent. The last pizza I was sent was wet in the center so the pizza was of no use. I asked for regular cheese but they sent extra so when I called to ask for replacement pizza I asked for regular cheese. When the new pizza arrived it had barely any cheese at all on it. It was primarily sauce. I hate bad service and I hate businesses that take less pride in the service they offer even more. I won't do business with them again and really thought about bringing the pizza back myself to discuss it with the manager but I realized that won't do any good. A manager that would allow that quality of product to leave his restaurant doesn't care so if you want quality service simply take your business elsewhere. read more
