I'm really disappointed with my experience. We waited about an hour for one pizza and a calzone with minimal add-ons. I understand it was busy and that calzones take longer, but even after arriving at the scheduled pickup time, we still had to wait an additional 30 minutes. After checking on our order more than once, where an employee, she had long black hair left us waiting at the counter without clear communication, which felt frustrating and unprofessional. She barley skimmed the tickets at the oven and It wasn't until about 45 minutes later that another employee helped us, only to find our order had been sitting on top of the oven for over 20 minutes. When I lived in Atlanta, Fellini's is a spot I would hit whenever I had the opportunity. I would frequent the location off of Ponce, Roswell Rd or this location off of La Vista. Now, since I live in St. Simons Island and when I visit friends in the metro area I make sure to get a slice of white pizza with a salad and the creamy Italian dressing. Always good!!! This day I visited the La Vista location during lunch and the pizza and salad were spot on!! The person who brought the food to our booth was friendly and engaged in a bit of conversation. Not all do, so it was a nice to see. All the Fellini's have pretty much the same decor with wooden bench booths and tables with chairs in the middle. Nothing fancy but an excellent place to hang if you need some time to chill! Never been disappointed and that continues with this visit as well. read more

The rating is not for the quality of food, that has always been great! However, seems like there must've been some new management since the last time I came which downgraded the experience. Not only did they get my order wrong but when asking for a favor of using an iPhone charger for 10 min so I could turn on my phone , I was denied. No more inside seating, though they don't mind if you grab your pie, and then grab a chair on the patio. They're just not going to serve you out there. 4 stars for a solid pizza spot. When it comes to Fellini's, the first thing that comes to mind is my college days going to the Decatur spot on Commerce. After creating so many good memories from that spot, I was happy to see a Fellini's nearby on Lavista when I moved back to Atlanta. We had a couple Emory friends in the area who told my wife and me that they get pizza on Friday nights, so we decided to give this spot a try and see if it lived up to my memories' hype. My wife placed the order over the phone (Sicilian Hawaiian pizza...sorry not sorry) and I went to pick it up about 30 minutes later. This located is pretty large with some outside seating and lots of indoor seating with superhero cutouts in seats as part of managing the COVID-19 pandemic. I went up to the counter to pickup my order and had to wait a couple minutes to get my food due to the place being busy and the servers being a little "too young to care." I paid my $22 for my pizza (which I thought was kind of high when I paid) and went back home. When I got home to open the fun pizza box, I found what can only be described as a massive and deep dish'esque pizza. I forgot how much they give you as my wife and I each had a couple delicious slices before putting it in the fridge. Each bite was quite tasty and it made sense why our friends eat a pie from this spot each week. Overall, Fellini's provides a really good pizza for a price that is actually pretty fair. We are excited to continuing eating this spot's pies and eventually taking out dog with us to eat on the patio once the weather is a little better and the pandemic starts to fade away. read more

I'm gonna say it.. I've always liked Fellini's more than Mellow Mushroom. I've missed it during the pandemic since there wasn't one really close enough to have delivered or take out and get home quickly enough. The Pizza was very good! I went during the weekday with my friend and ordered half sausage and mushroom and the other half spinach, mushroom , and black olives. The pizza came out very fresh, and the wait was only about 20 minutes for the pizza to come out. Fellini's Pizza is an Atlanta institution and has been around almost as long as I've been alive. At the time of writing this review, there are seven Atlanta area locations (all ITP - inside the perimeter) with the first store opening in 1982. This local chain serves tasty pizza at affordable prices. They also serve salads, calzones, beer, wine, soft drinks, tea, and King of Pops gourmet popsicles. Generally, I think they're A-OK. This Fellini's is located on Lavista Road in unincorporated DeKalb County. It's got a Decatur address, but isn't located in Decatur proper. I visited this Fellini's with my Emory alum girlfriend and her Emory alum friends. It's about equidistant from Emory's campus as the Fellini's on Commerce Drive in Decatur proper. This is a spacious restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and parking. I think this is the biggest Fellini's I've been to to date. Fellini's patios are popular across town. I believe there used to be a fountain on the patio at this Fellini's, but it has since been removed and more patio seating has been added. It's an open-air patio. The seats are uncovered, but there are some big umbrella stands if you want shade. At night, the patio is brightly lit and it's nicely decorated with lots of string lighting. This is a fast-casual restaurant where you stand in line and order upfront. Fountain drinks and tea are self-serve and you can order pitchers of beer. If dining in, servers will bring your order to you. In lieu of order numbers, Fellini's uses fun and unconventional order signs. For example, ours were the movie poster for Saturday Night Fever and a picture of Yoda from Star Wars. Fellini's offers pizza by the slice for $2.75 a slice with 50-cent toppings up to a large pizza for $14.50 with $2.00 toppings. They also offer Sicilian pizzas ($16.50 with $2.00 toppings) and Sicilian slices ($2.95 per slice with 50-cent toppings). The toppings are fairly standard and aren't anything out of the ordinary. In addition to custom pizzas, you can get pizzas with preset toppings like the Fellini's special, spinach and mushroom, vegetarian, Hawaiian, and white pizza. Like the custom pizzas, you can get any of these pizzas by the slice starting at $3.70 each. Large-size and Sicilian-style cost anywhere from $19.50 to $23.50 each depending on the type of pizza ordered. The special comes with pepperoni, mushrooms, Italian sausage, onion, meatballs, green peppers, green and black olives, and extra cheese. There are five kinds of calzones. Most cost $8.25 each with toppings 75 cents extra each. I had the house salad ($5.25) and a couple slices of the white pizza ($3.70 per slice). The house salad contains iceberg and romaine lettuce, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, green and black olives, mozzarella cheese, and tomato. I tried the salad with creamy Italian dressing, but you can choose from balsamic vinaigrette and ranch too. I've had this salad at other Fellini's locations and it's a good salad chock-full of basic and fresh ingredients. The lettuce is cold and crisp, the tomato slices thick and juicy, and the shredded mozzarella and olives plentiful. I liked the thick Italian dressing which was served on the side. Of the pizzas I've tried at Fellini's (any location), the white is my favorite. I recommend it. It's made with mozzarella and ricotta cheese, fresh garlic, and oregano. If you order white pizza by the slice, it comes with red sauce (still good). Medium, large, and Sicilian white pizzas don't have it. I think what I like most about the white pizza is its garlicky flavor. Of course, the cheese is yummy too. My girlfriend had a slice with pepperoni and mushrooms ($3.75 total) and enjoyed it, but I think she liked my white pizza better. For a meal, I think 1-2 slices with or without a salad is enough unless you're really hungry. Service was great. The staff was friendly. A lady came by to periodically clear our table and she also brought us a pizza box for our leftovers. TL;DR - Whether dining in or carrying out, Fellini's Pizza suffices for good, basic pizza. Fellini's I'm writing this bc there's not a way to contact management of your chain. I've been frustrated with your pickup service for years, yes years. After a Friday night of immense frustration for myself and probably 20-30 others waiting on pickup orders I feel you need to know the cold hard reality about your service, simply it sucks. Your pizza is heavenly but your service is the worst I've ever consistently encountered. Specially please find a way to make online pickup orders quick and efficient to pickup. All you have to do is have someone call out the names of the pizzas when they are ready. Currently you're making people wait in a mind numbing long line. And guess what if your order isn't ready you have to wait in that line to ask again. Please revamp online pickup order and while you're at it also a more efficient way to reorder beer & wine for dine in. Thank you. This location, was absolutely bad. I was taken here, not knowing about this trip nor anything about this franchise. Took 35 minutes for 2 plain pepperoni pizzas to arrive at our table. A whopping 40 minutes for a medium cheese pizza. No extra or special addition of anything. A couple of customers had walked up to the counter asking how much longer for their order, only to walk back to their tables shaking their heads in what I was sure was disbelief. The Hot Pockets I used to eat were way better tasting and only took minutes to cook. None of the employees smiled the whole time we were there. The line was long but it moved pretty fast. However, actually getting our orders was a different story. Granted, there were a few orders of calzones in our group and I know that takes some extra time to make. But the calzones came out before the slices. All in all, it took about 45 minutes to feast down on our pies. The staff was very good about checking up on our delayed order once it was brought to their attention.
