Varasano's Pizzeria continues to prove why it's considered one of Atlanta's premier pizza destinations. The pizzas feature an incredibly flavorful, thin crust with outstanding, high-quality ingredients that really shine. Our party of four ordered three pizzas--the Pancetta Garlic, Bufala & Copa, and Caramelized Onion. Every single one was excellent, but the standout was definitely the Caramelized Onion pizza with capicola. The combination of sweet caramelized onions and savory cured meat was absolutely delicious. Service was another highlight. Although our order was initially mixed up, the staff handled the mistake professionally and recovered quickly. They were attentive throughout the meal and even treated our entire table to tiramisu, which was a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated. The only disappointment was the appetizer. We ordered the meatballs, and while they were perfectly edible, they were fairly pedestrian and didn't come close to matching the quality of the pizzas. For four people, our bill came to just $98 before tip for three large pizzas, one appetizer, and water--a terrific value considering the quality of the food. Overall, this is probably the best pizza we've had in the Atlanta area. It earns a solid **4 out of 5 stars (A-)** from us. We'll definitely be back. read more

Let's start with the good... The pizza and the cocktails are amazing! I ordered Nana's Traditional pizza with pepperoni! The crust was perfectly thin and crispy! They put these large pepperoni's on it, "mmmm, mmmm, good!!" Also, the bartender who ended up being our server, made me the most delicious Aperol Spritz. If you want an authentic one, don't do bottomless!! They use champagne instead of Prosecco. I paid the $11+ for the Prosecco. It was delicious! Definitely worth it! Also, our server did end up being super cool! The not so good. First, some of the employees need attitude adjustments. When we first arrived the lady that was the food runner was a bit rude! I asked her about parking and she abruptly said, "I don't know, you'll have to ask someone else," then walked off. After standing there dumbfounded for a minute, I walked over to the bar and the bartender was more friendly and helpful. Also, the tables were very sticky! All in all, the experience was a good one! The presentation was definitely appealing, but the food was just okay for me. Nothing was bad, it simply didn't have the flavor or wow factor I was hoping for. If you're into bottomless drinks, they have a ton of great options for only $19 on the weekends! The service was warm and attentive, which I really appreciated, and overall we had a pleasant experience. We sat and chatted for quite sometime after our meals and never felt rushed. Came recently and had an amazing time! There's validated parking nearby and lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Good ambiance. The bottomless spritzes for $19 is such a great deal. Tasted great too! They kept our glasses refilled, definitely worth the money and got a great buzz. The Caramelized Onion Pizza was delicious and came out pretty fast. My friend got the Nana's pizza with pepperoni and a couple other add-ons and loved it. The add-ons are pretty pricey in my opinion (around $3 extra to add certain toppings). Very very great pizza! There is some parking in the deck behind but not a ton. You seat yourself when you walk in. But service was still quick! This was our first time so we went with some basics. Started with a Caesar salad which was very nice. But hard to mess up a Caesar! The pizza we decided to do half sausage with fennel and half capicola. Both were great! I tried the pizza at Varasano's and thought it was pretty good overall. I liked the thin crust, and the toppings were solid. My only issue was the size -- the pizza felt a little small for the price. I also ordered the meatballs. They come in orders of two or four, and I got the two. They tasted good, but the meatballs were pretty small for the cost. The small salad was also fresh and good, but again, the portion felt a bit small. So overall, the food quality was good, but the portion sizes didn't really match the price in my opinion. Parking is convenient since there's a parking garage underneath the building, and they don't offer a military discount. This was a takeout order, so I might give them another try dining in. I'm curious if the portions -- especially the meatballs and salad -- would be a little more generous if you eat there. read more

This was my first time dining here. It's very accessible and in a good location. Parking is easy to access and free which is a huge plus. We arrived around 4:30 pm on a Sunday and the dining room was quiet and fairly empty. By the time we left around 6, it got packed! Seems like a fun place to be on Sunday afternoons. They have a nice patio area that I'm sure if very fun in the warmer months. The pizza was tasty, but mine was a little cold when it arrived at the table. That is the reason for 4 stars. Alright.... For me, this was just not it. I had the Nana's and added garlic and mushrooms. This pizza, for me, had no flavor. The sauce tasted like it came right out of a jar and you can't see any seasonings in that pizza sauce. I added some Italian seasoning. It needed a few more. Varasano's is honestly one of my favorite pizza spots in Atlanta. The crust has that perfect chew and it is just thick enough to hold the sauce without turning into mush. The toppings always taste fresh and everything comes out hot like they actually want you to enjoy your meal. And please get the garlic bread bites. I don't know what they put in those little things but they disappear fast. I took my cousin here and he immediately said this is the best pizza in the city and he argues about everything, so take that as you will. The vibe is chill. You can pull up for a casual date night, girls night, or when you just want good pizza without doing too much. Highly recommend. They're also open for brunch though I haven't tried it yet. The interior is outdated BUT could be fabulous with some interior design touches - plants and nice tables and chairs to create an Ambience. There's plenty of parking in the lot out front and we were seated immediately when we entered. The vibes are pretty casual but welcoming. We decided to split garlic bites, the fontina mushroom pizza (which we added sausage to), and the Chica Bella which was ricotta and arugula based. For 3 of us, this was the perfect amount with a few leftovers! The garlic bites were delicious and buttery and the pizza had the right amount of bite. Had a girls night and tried their "Slice of Heaven" with the owner. Comes at $38/ person and is absolutely worth it. You try a bunch of pizzas that the knowledgeable owner comes up with on the spot. Everything was fresh and delicious. Their margherita is well awarded and I can confidently agree these are well deserved. We wished the owner would've gone through the flavors more, they were rather dished out one after another so we felt a little rushed between slices. Definitely voice this if you also feel this way. He was very accommodating to any dietary restrictions the party had, however there is a high likelihood of cross contamination because he wasn't changing gloves between the meats/veggies (I was a vegetarian).
