Unique type of ice cream from Taiwan. They have lots of places to sit down inside. The ice cream itself is super tasty and we loved the peanut shavings. The only downside is that it's really expensive in my opinion for how little ice cream you get. $13 for the crepe is too much. $7 for one scoop of ice cream is also too expensive for how small the scoop is. Service was friendly and quick. We enjoyed playing on the Nintendo switch after enjoying our ice cream.

Yummy ice cream in Honolulu!! Friendly staff and cute decor inside. Lots of people on a Saturday night, but not too crowded where we waited very long. The ice cream comes on these cute little plastic pots, and a shovel spoon! So cute. No bathrooms at this store, so beware! Prices are a bit steep but it's expected. The shaved peanuts are what they're known for and they are absolutely scrumptious!! You must get them on your ice cream.

Came here for the first time at this location. Ordered the 3 scoops crepe with mango, coffee, and ube ice cream. Very delicious and fulfilling. Staff are friendly and fast. I've only noticed street parking available. They do have a good amount of tables to chill at. Staff are friendly and fast. I've only noticed street parking available. We visited the Mosa University location on a quiet Thursday afternoon around 3 PM. When we entered the shop, there was no immediate greeting or acknowledgment. We called out "hello" a few times but no one came out from behind the counter. Eventually, a young staff member spoke to us from the back area behind the wall instead of coming forward to greet us or assist us directly. She asked from there if we were ready to order, but did not step out or engage with us at the counter. It also appeared she had been on her phone prior to assisting. To the owner: we are regular fans of Mosa (the Waikiki location) which is why we wanted to share this feedback. This particular experience felt quite different from what we normally expect and we hope it can help improve customer service consistency and staff presence at the counter. Despite this, we still enjoyed our ice cream and had a nice time overall. We also took some cute photos that day (April 16). Thank you for taking the time to listen to customer feedback.

Cute ice cream shop. They had a variety of flavors. It is a little pricey though. The one scoop ice cream was served in a container that is shaped like a pot. The spoon was shaped like a shovel too. Too cute! The scoops order was placed on a regular plate. Also, they will ask if you want peanut brittle topping on your ice cream. It was a good and added a nice touch of flavor to the ice cream. Service was very quick. Loved that the employees were so friendly and willing to answer questions. Lots of tables to sit. There was a TV set to play games.

Pleasantly surprised by how yummy this ice cream burrito was. Wish there was more peanut shavings inside though. They use delicious ice cream! No thrills about this place - walk in, decide if you want a burrito or a scoop, and pick your flavors. Wasn't sure where to park though, so parked in the lot i usually do for Nijiya and picked up something from there on the way out (there's a scan qr on their door for a free hour).

Dear food diary, Tonight I went to the notorious Mosa for dessert with my sperm donor. Boy oh boy was I caught off guard by how amazing dessert could be. I've never had such delicious cream in my mouth (pause). I attached an image of my sperm donor and as you can see that sh*t was bussin baby. Thank you Mosa for such a core memory.

2 scoops: Blueberry cheesecake and honeydew mochi with peanut toppings $9-10

I thought of this dessert spot one night after our dinner. I believe this is their 2nd location, and seems a little bit more convenient than Waikiki. It's a cute and bright spot. Very welcoming staff. We ordered a 2 scoop ice cream with peanut shaving topping. The ice cream flavor we got was honeydew mochi and blueberry cheesecake. Such unique flavors here. It was very good...creamy and not too sweet. Definitely will be back to try other flavors. They have the macnut topping for a limited time.

    Peanut candy shavings!!!
    Rebecca T.

You're really going for the nut shavings here as the ice cream and the wrap is really nothing special. However, I loved peanut toppings! Reminds me of a Chinese traditional dessert that I love! I tried the Mac nut too but definitely prefer the peanut one, more aromatic and satisfying. You could fit up to 3 flavors of ice cream in a regular or mini wrap. I got coffee and taro and they're both delicious. The interior looks a bit dated but it's not dirty at least, acceptable. There's also video games by the entrance and it's a fun place to eat some dessert and play some games. Friendly service too.

Love love love their crepe ice cream rolls! The peanuts are definitely a good mix to balance out the sweetness from the ice cream and add texture to the dish. The crepe wrapper is very soft and overall it's a very refreshing sweet treat to eat after a heavy meal. The staff was very nice and gave me a wet paper towel because I spilt on my jeans (oops). They also came out with it very fast. The place can get crowded pretty quickly at night, but overall great spot

Came here on a Sunday night with no line. The flavor choices were plentiful. I got the coffee and the honey dew mochi. The honey dew mochi had nice piece of mochi and was artifical tasting. The kona coffee tasted like standard coffee flavor. But the star of the show is definitely the brittle that is shaved right in front of you. Wish they had an extra option. Would recommend just for the brittle.

We love to get a sweet treat after dinner for the kids and Mosa really hits the spot. It's located at Pucks Alley right off S king (across from Raising Canes. There is a private lot in the back of the building that has a really easy parking system. You pull into the lot and scan a QR code to pay for your parking. The minimum is two hours for three dollars and the system will recognize that you have signed in and as you're leaving, it will send you a text to let you know that you are leaving the lot and charges it to the card you put on your account. Now the best thing about Mosa is their peanut topping. But when we went today, they have a new topping which is macadamia nuts. And for a limited time, they are offering a free macadamia nut topping, which makes me think that in the future it will be an up charge. We tried the macadamia nut in a crêpe with coconut and Kona coffee ice cream. They allow three ice cream choices in the regular size crepe. I really liked the coconut and macadamia nut topping, but I would rather prefer the peanut and Kona coffee. The kids are not fans of the crêpe or ice cream or peanut topping, but they love the Tanghulu grapes. There are lots of seats inside and it's a really bright and open spot. There are also many restaurants and eateries in the immediate area that you could get a quick bite to eat and then have your dessert at Mosa.

Mosa is a solid late night dessert option in town. My friends and I were craving dessert and they had never tried Mosa before, so I recommended we check it out (this was my second experience). I highly recommend getting the scoops of ice cream because the portions are pretty generous and they give a lot of the shaved peanut candy. I also tried a bite of my friend's crepe, but the texture wasn't what I was expecting haha. My favorite flavors that I've tried here are the mango, cookies and cream, matcha and Kona coffee. I like that the workers are friendly, the parking is really easy (in the back lot the 1st hour is free) and of course the ice cream never disappoints.

Layered with housemade coconut spirulina, strawberry, and mango syrups over incredibly soft shave ice, it offered a bright medley of tropical fruit flavors. The shave ice itself was exceptionally smooth and delicate, with a texture reminiscent of fluffy snow that dissolved almost instantly on the tongue. Hidden beneath it was a layer of rich, soft ice cream that provided the perfect creamy contrast to the refreshing flavors. The finishing touches were a generous drizzle of condensed milk and fresh strawberry chunks, whose subtle tang balanced the sweetness beautifully. Homemade mochi added a soft, pillowy chew, while the lychee popping boba contributed subtle floral notes evocative of rosewater. 4.5* Glad I…read moreremembered this spot. A great place for a break from the heat. The Hawaii Frost soft serve is refreshing. Similar to a smooth, creamy sherbet. For those not familiar, don't expect fresh fruit flavors. The strawberry tasted like strawberry soda mixed with vanilla ice cream. The honeydew tasted like a Melona bar. The large included a rolled cookie which was a nice surprise. The buttered popcorn was a bit chewy, not light, fluffy & crunchy. (-0.5*} The service was friendly & helpful. No 3% credit card fee. There are 2 parking spaces. Both were available when I arrived.

Another colleague and I jumped at the opportunity to tag along on a Friday early afternoon. Located down Umi Street not too far from neighboring New City Nissan on N King Street, Samurai moved to their current location in 1995 serving Maui style sherbet, popcorn and other local snacks. They also expanded to Samurai Snacks Aiea for an impressive 20+ years before closing its doors in May 2023. We arrived shortly after lunch time where we pondered at the menu wondering what to get. It's not fancy here at Samurai - - the storefront is basic and nothing fancy with a few seats patrons can sit on if they decide to eat their treats on premise. Morale has been low at the office so I decided to get some convenient prepackaged 4oz assorted Samurai cups to cheer up the staff. My colleagues also picked up some bags of buttered popcorn with mochi crunch and furikake for an informal office party to welcome the much needed weekend. Because we were already there, we also got some soft serve cups to cool down before heading back to the office. My colleagues had the classic strawberry and blue vanilla swirl and I selected the mango. My colleagues enjoyed their selection but the mango didn't live up to my expectations. The color was vibrant and enticing but sadly the mango flavor did not come through. Each cup came with a sugar roll cookie that was delicious. After our cold treat we headed back to the office with our surprise for our colleagues where it was a big hit. There were many happy faces standing in line grabbing some popcorn and a 4-oz cup of Samurai. Overall, a much better experience with Samurai that's deserving of an update with higher marks. It has been noted in my books to stick to flavors I'm already aware of and avoid trying new ones for that possible disappointment that often happens to me.
