THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The Flower sweet tea is like Nirvana in a glass. The hummus with beef was creamy and delicious. Southwest egg rolls, with homemade ranch dressing; I could eat my weight in them. I had the chicken wrap that was dripping with yummy goodness. My husband had the beef shawarma with rice. Came for the beer; rediscovered my love for Lebanese and Mediterranean food. Self serve beer wall is fun and the choices are decent. The Sangria on the wall was a nice surprise. Started with a wonderful humus with pita slices. Fantastic taste and the texture of the humus was perfect. My wife had the grilled chicken kabob while I had a chicken shawarma pita with a side of grilled asparagus. Aside from being a little heavy on the tahini, everything was exceptional. Around here people hear Mediterranean and tend to automatically think Greek, but it's awesome for some to represent the other side of the sea for a change. We have been patiently waiting for a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern inspired restaurant to arrive to our area for a while now, and Mosaic did not disappoint one bit! We had the falafel, hummus and meat pita. They were all excellent, but the falafel was especially delicious! It had a delicious crispy exterior and an interior that melts In Your mouth. It was the perfect combination. The only constructive criticism I have is I'd personally like to see thicker and fluffier pitas. They seemed to have trouble supporting the meat filling . This is the first trip I've ever taken to Texas! Eating good food was definitely at the top of my list. I'm often hesitant eating shawarma in the states considering I've had authentic shawarma in the Middle East, but let me say this, the chicken shawarma not only met my expectations, but exceeded them! saucy, but not soggy, crunchy bite, but not hard! The perfect mix of chicken, veggies, and sauce. Love how easy the ordering system was, and the staff was so kind. The owners are always walking around making sure everybody is satisfied with their order and experience. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Belton. Fan of beer? After ordering 3 appetizers which started mediocre (Hummus, Falafel, and Fried Pickles) - the following my wife nor I could comprehend. She ordered Chicken Shawarma - served on a bed of plain white rice the bland chicken was a PITIFUL attempt at "Mediterranean food" - meal prep quality would've been better. Also ordered was the Beef Shawarma Wrap- a raw pita with more tomato & lettuce than the FLAVORLESS beef. And if you think -oh well maybe you should've ordered something easy- impossible to mess up- I did. The wings ordered were lemon pepper and garlic parmigiana with fries. They were a joke to say the least, or maybe that was the manager on duty, Alex (& owner to which we later learned) who also tended to the table next to us where a woman pulled multiple items out of her meal & ultimately sent it back. Though when addressing my concern he sarcastically replied, "Well we cooked it for you, we don't have to take it back because you don't like it." Been here a few times, we love middle eastern food and this is pretty good if not great. The smothered pork chop was not to my liking at all, yuk, but everything else has been fine. we may try some more of the sourthern cuisine as well The food is better there than carryout, it doesn't seem to travel well even though we only live 2 miles away. We will be back. Would give it 3 1/2 stars if we could just because of that pork chop. read more
