In retiling our main bathroom we picked a large 12" x 24" wall tile that we liked at a respected tile store in Gaithersburg. Unfortunately, the bull-nose tiles that were available with the same pattern had a much whiter background color than the large tiles. We went to numerous tile stores looking for a better bull-nose option and couldn't find anything close to our large-scale wall tile pattern. A general contractor recommended that we check out Mosaic in Rockville and we're very glad we did! Their tile options were the best we have seen and we found a bull-nose large scale (6" x 18") tile that is a near-perfect match to our wall tile! J.R. and Mr. Rueda were fantastic reps and we only wish we had started at Mosaic for all our tiling needs. And the price was very reasonable! We won't go anywhere else again. A few years ago, I remodeled a bathroom and went to several tile shops and purchased my tile from Mosaic. When I was bothered by the lack of service at a local bathroom fixture showroom (not a big box store) I realized Moasiac sold everything from the tubs to shower fixtures etc. Damian was the best then, so when I was rmodeling my kitchen this year, I looked to them for my cabinet pulls. I also wanted backsplash tile and as I had custom cabinets with a custom color, finding options was challenging. I went to 4 other tile shops seeking a backsplash tile but found nothing quite right. I then realized I should back to Mosaic and am so glad I did. While I was walking around, Damian found the perfect unique and most gorgeous tile that has now made my kitchen a true wow. We've not had great experiences the two times we visited the store. Both times they didn't have enough staff to assist customers and didn't really show much interest in those that weren't being served. If they had just said something like I'm really sorry, but I'm helping someone else and will be with you as soon as possible, this would have been fine. But instead both times they glanced up from what they were working on and just looked bothered that they were being asked if they could assist us when they were ready. We were very soft spoken and polite, so I'm not sure why they seemed to annoyed/disinterested. Anyway, we've had much better experiences elsewhere. Response to owner: I think you must have responded to the wrong person or you just use a generic response, since the response is unrelated to what we found frustrating? We were not working with a builder. We were frustrated by the in store experience. read more

I purchased cabinets from Mosaic Interiors in November '21 for a full kitchen renovation. The product quality and customer service have been terrible. Once the cabinets were delivered we found countless issues; incorrect cabinet sizes on two large pantries, damaged doors, missing cabinets and frames and unusual number of modifications required to make them fit. Mosaic staff have not taken responsibitliy or worked proactively to resolve these issues (we have been waiting 3 weeks now) nor have they stood behind their product. We have repeatedly asked for resolution and a timeline to fix these issues, and the disrepect and lack of customer service has been appalling. They continue to place the burden of fixing the issues on my contractor, who I will have to pay at least an extra week of labor to correct all the issues, reinstall cabinets, remove and dispose of incorrect cabinets, etc. On top of it, I am out of a kitchen, we are 2-3 weeks behind schedule (while I'm paying for storage and other running expenses) and am sitting in a construction zone with no word from Mosaic. Most recenlty in response to my email asking for compensation and solutions to the delays and problems I was still facing, the manager emailed to say he had "escalated the matter to the corporate office". A week later we still had no reply. After contacting the manager to get a response, the excuse for the delay was that members of the corporate team had been attending a trade show all week. Days later, still no response to my concerns, no compensation to pay the contractor and no updates on the replacement cabinets. The lack of timely and satisfactory communication  and resolution is simply disrespectful. I would not recommend working with Mosaic at all.  I rarely write reviews like this, but this circumstance has been unlike any other that I or the designer with whom I am working have ever experienced. We expect a few hiccups with any big renovation, but the customer service at Mosaic has been beyond the pale. read more

Really nice selection of tile with quite low-pressure sales staff. The staff prefer if you make an appointment, but if they are free they are happy to help so long as you understand the people with appointments will get their attention first. They were happy to let me take "loaner tiles" so that I could see them in the setting I was going to have them installed and match up cabinets and fabrics etc., for the final design. We wound up redoing our kitchen, master bathroom and dressing room with their product and I have to say that the whole experience was seamless. We had had an unexpected glitch in the design plan that wasn't evident until we started demo and realized that one of the tiles we picked for the bathroom would not work. We anticipated this being a real problem as we had already ordered all the tile. However, we spoke with the staff at Mosaic and they stated they could switch out the tile with "no problems" (as it turned out, we switched to a cheaper tile, but they never made a big deal out of this either). Caveat alert: they did tell us that the only reason they could do this was because all of the tile we had picked was "in stock", not special order, so it would be unreasonable to expect that they could do this in every instance. Our contractor actually picked up the tile, but I was impressed that all the tile was in good condition. We've done large projects before and have always had a bunch of broken/chipped tile that we then have to argue about getting returned, but this was one of the best tile experiences we have had. They are not the cheapest, but they were actually a lot cheaper than at another store we initially made our selection from. Our contractor suggested we check this place out because he was appalled at the price of the other tile we picked and promised us we would find something we liked just as much at Mosaic - he was right! read more

We recently renovated our kitchen and bathroom and Dianne from Mosaic was the ultimate MVP on our project. She helped select my original tile, fixtures, and lighting. When my selections were delayed/did not work in the space, she helped me find new selections. I truly cannot say enough great things about my experience with Mosaic. We tried other locations, but no one helped us. Our project was not huge, but they treated us like we had a multimillion dollar house on the line. This is the only place in the DMV that carries Sealer's Choice Gold grout sealant, which is supposed to be the best penetrating sealant for porous grout, slate, etc. It was list price -- about $45 a quart -- but a little goes a long way. The kid who sold me the tile was really nice, and took my cc over the phone and held it at the desk because I was coming in late, and he was the only sales guy and left at 6pm. The rest of the store seems to be staffed by female design students, and has an interesting selection of really cool tile products (think of subway and mosaic tile, and glass tile TDF). I'm not sure about the design skills of the staff, but the stuff looked cool at least in the displays. If I were to do a backspash or something fancy like that, I'd check them out. read more

I just can't say enough about Mosaic Tile Co. and my sales rep Jason Brunetti. I was looking for some tile for my fireplace area, which would match a mosaic which I already had. The only official color name I knew was Athens Grey. After countless internet searches, I found the matching tile at Mosaic Tile Co. They sent me samples the same day, and even 3 day aired them at no additional charge. They matched perfectly, and I ended up placing a full order. Upon installation, I was about an inch short, but based on the measurements of the tiles, I needed two more large pieces. I was hoping to not have to purchase an entire box, but Jason took care of me. I was not only impressed at the quality of the product, but overly thrilled with the service I received. It all started with me walking into the showroom with no appointment on a Saturday. Damien was gracious enough to assist me between customers. i started with the purchase of my bathroom wall tile. i had originally ordered a tub and other items from a large Rockville non box store but due to that store's complete lack of knowledge and lack of customer service, i canceled the order and i ended up buying my amazing Hydrosystem tub and all of the shower fixtures from Mosaic Tile in addition to the tile. their customer service is unparalleled. when the wrong tub was delivered, not only did Travis AND Damien make sure the correct bathtub arrived quickly, but they made sure i was happy customer. i cannot wait to remodel another room so i can work with them again. beautiful product selection. photos will be added when project complete (covid delay) read more

This place is not only amazing in appearance but their staff member Grant was favorably helpful and knowledgable. Went in to get thresholds (which were at the best price than any competitors) and ended up getting some matching grouts. As soon as we laid the tile on the counter Grant knew exactly which ones would match. He truly has a eye for this stuff. He was nice told us about some clearance tiles and even signed us up with corp account. We will be back soon. read more

I have bought tile at Mosaic twice now. Although they are usually understaffed, I have always gotten help selecting tile. I went in today to find out about an order that I thought my installer had ordered. I got stuck dealing with Jason. Found out it had not been ordered yet and asked to place the order. I was told I could not. That only installers could place orders, and that my installer was his friend and he would not allow me to order the tile that I selected, that I will be paying for, for the house I own. He even called my installer in front of me to prove that he could tattle on me for ordering my own tile? Who is he to tell me whether or not I can make a purchase from his store? I will never consider buying from them again, and now need to start my tile selections all over at another store. Disgusting. read more

We had have a wonderful experience with Mr. Jason Brunetti, Branch Manager while searching for tile to purchase in a home remodeling project. We visited 4 or 5 other shops from Frederick to Baltimore. None had a better showroom, better stone and tile selection, or more knowledgable staff. We were given a low-key sales approach, opinions when requested, and they helped teach us about stone and tile. Jason is a thorough professional with a very pleasant, effervescent personality and is the exact opposite of a pushy aggressive used-car salesman. We ended up purchasing the stone we needed as well as the grout and will use Mosaic Tile for our next job. we recommend them highly. read more

Mosaic has a nice selection and the staff are friendly. However, we were promised that our floor tiles would be delivered on a Tuesday. We were called just the day before and they suddenly said it would not be in for another two weeks! This out our whole remodel job way off schedule. I would not use them again. Sales person, Jenna, was super nice and helpful. She is leaving for another position. Some of my tiles came in "not looking good and had chips in them" so wanted to exchange them for tiles that looked better. The Manager, Jason, could certainly take a course in dealing with the public. He insisted the tile looked good, but relunctantly --- let me pick new ones out. Ordered marble light switch plate which came in not looking good (had knick it in it)... reluctantly let me change it. I had to order another one (different size) and he told me "This cannot be returned if it doesnt come in how you want --" Just picked this item up today --- sales person told me right away, "It can't be returned" Wonder where got that from. Item had two cracks in the light switch. I woudl not give them my business again. read more

I cannot say enough about the exceptional & outstanding service we received at Mosaic Tile. Jason was able to show my fiancé and I a large selection of tile for the remodel of our bathroom shower & jacuzzi. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily we both came to agreements on every little detail. I've heard horror stories from my friends about melt downs & disagreements with their spouses during remodels. If one of us wasn't thrilled by a tile we were shown, Jason quickly showed us additional ones until we were both satisfied. Jason was very pleasant & patient with us. My fiancé wanted to stick with beige tones, however I wanted to incorporate some color into the bathroom. He showed us a stunning glass listel with neutral tones that had the perfect amount of aqua green to brighten up the room. He made sure every little detail was covered & we found the perfect colored grout to go with it. He even sent us home with samples so we could see how it looked in our bathroom under our lighting. I am beyond thrilled at how beautiful our bathroom has turned out. We were going to hold off on redoing our floor, but our experience was so great and we found them to be very reasonably priced that we just returned to order flooring. All of the staff have been helpful & friendly. But Jason remembered us and was eager to help us pick out tile for our floor. We wanted something darker & contrasting. Jason pulled the shower tile we had previously selected for us while we looked at tile for our floor so we could make sure they both went great together. Now we are anxiously anticipating our floors to be completed. We decided to also have the SunTouch heated floors installed. I am so excited... it feels like Christmas in July for me!! I purchased Merola penny tile from Mosaic to cover my bathroom floor. After my contractor finished the job, it didn't look right. It looked like the tile had come from different dye lots, although there was no indication of that when we examined the boxes. I called Mosaic and spoke to Jason. He came to my house, looked at the floor and agreed that the boxes must have come from different dye lots. He replaced the tile, including the cost of relaying the floor, at Mosaic's expense. I'm very pleased with how the bathroom looks and very glad that they were willing to stand behind the products they distribute to make sure that everything looked right. read more
