However, most importantly, I worked with Catalina Olmos for my kitchen and backsplash design and Nari Nkim for my tile and vanity choices. These women have made my newly built home a showstopper. If you're in the market to renovate or build a new kitchen, Catalina is the person I highly recommend. The people are talented, responsive and patient. They deserve 5 stars. As with all renovations, there are unexpected surprises and you have to adapt. This team adapted with me. Not the biggest selection or the best parking lot, but it's the only way to get quality tiles from this company in the area. They have an annual sale around Thanksgiving and it's generally the time I would buy from this place. I tried Floor and Decor several times and went online to shop for tiles, but with their sale or a contractor discount, this place isn't that much more expensive. It is still the more expensive option, but the look and quality of the tiles really cannot be compared. They have a list of recommended contractors if you need someone. They have a reservation system online. The process isn't the best and there is room for improvement. The pick up is closer to Gude drive in Rockville. Plan ahead for the tiles because some come from overseas for 6-8 weeks while some are 5-8 business days from their warehouse in NJ. read more

We have had several remodeling projects in the last couple of years and have had the best expereince with Porcelanosa products and its sales rep, Lillia Saenz (we always go straight to her even if we have to wait until she is finished with another customer). Lillia has given us great design advice (she has an excellent eye and can tell you what will work best) and practical advice (type of tile, size, grout). And she is always available to follow through on your order--no matter how big or small. In the past couple of years, we have gone to many tile/bath/kitchen stores in the DMV, but our best experience has been with both Lillia's special, stand-out customer service and Porcelanosa's very beautiful products. read more

I ignored the warnings and tried anyway. The store is bright and attractive with gorgeous, inspiring bathroom vignettes. Prices acceptable during twice yearly sales. The process started out promising and went down hill quickly. I will spare you the gory details. Believe me I could rant for a while. If you shop here be prepared to: -Be made to feel like the sales person is doing you a favor after the initial niceness. You may have to stop by the store to catch them because they won't return calls or emails. My experience. -Check your order invoices before you leave the store. (Wrong color on order despite discussing in detail, 1 drain valve ordered for a 2 sink vanity, etc) -For items to arrive damaged and have to be reordered. -Be ignored by the manager Abdel if you call to speak to him. I've been working with Anthony and Lilly, who are super helpful. I read all the comments. As a designer the end user needs to be informed these types of projects need patience. Just because you dreamt it doesn't mean it will happen in your time frame. There are many aspects behind the scenes from production to logistics to your home. My advice is to be patient and cordial. The product and the showroom presentation is the best America has ever seen for mid market. Also compared to other European manufacturers with the 4-6 months lead time, they have a pretty quick lead time. read more

Procelanosa has the best design for bathrooms and kitchens. We have also been happy with the service, in fact Taylor has been fantastic. Excellent professional advice, she is efficient and always friendly. So far we have done three bathrooms with her help and we have been very happy with the results. Very beautiful expensive stuff, very, very INattentive sales associates. Unless you do not mind being ignored, on a grand scale, go elsewhere. There was 1 attentive sales associate, Lillie. Everyone else avoided making eye contact and/or stayed on the phone to make sure you knew better than to ask for help. Lillie already had a client and she tried to get someone else to help me. This other sales associate, unnamed intentionally, stayed on the phone for an extended period of time before spending about 5 minutes with me. When I did not agree to buy the first floor tile he recommended, he found someone else to help, PDQ. When I decided I was fed up and wanted to leave this associate became attentive again. WTFreak! Perhaps I did not fit his profile of someone who can afford to shop here. Apparently, I thought I could afford it to drive 50 miles to this showroom. Nahhhhhhh! I think I'll try to like some tile from a company that appreciates ALL it's potential clients and have sale associates who look you in the eye and try to help.I read the bad nationwide YELP reviews in advance regarding the sales staff but I liked the sample of Porcelanosa tile I found at a discount tile store so much I wanted to see the entire line. I've Been doing business with Porcelanosa for some years now never had a problem until recently. I was scheduled to pick up a order from the Ramsey warehouse to find out I wasn't on file to pick up my order. After speaking to Mrs.Fiorella I was told they couldn't pull my order because they needed 48 hours. I explained I had a schedule to keep and my order was only 5 boxes she laughed and said nothing she can do. Immediately I called my sales rep and she stated would have the order delivered. Its a week later still waiting. Today is April 26, 3 weeks still no call back or delivery. Tomorrow I will cancel the order and find another source. Today is May 2 and still no call back from this company so i had to call my card company and dispute the charge. Please look elsewhere read more

When you walk into Porcelanosa, your senses will be completely overwhelmed. They pump some delicious smelling air freshener throughout the store that makes you feel like you're at a spa. The displays of kitchens and baths are absolutely gorgeous. Everything you touch exudes a feeling of luxury. There are even giant posters of celebrity endorsements (George Clooney and Nicole Kidman selling tiles?!?!) for you to gaze upon. Beyond that...this showroom experience is just a-ok. Compared to our stone and tile shopping experience elsewhere, we felt like the service was just fine. It seems based on other reviews that there is a real range of service here. The woman who helped us was very nice but seemed to be doing the minimum. Our contractor suggested coming here simply for the sheer amount of choice they offer. So if you are looking for ideas in marble or porcelain tiles, this is a good place to come get inspiration. We actually found better selection for what we wanted at a few other stores. I also noticed that customers who entered after us were immediately offered a drink (coffee, tea, or water) while we were offered none. Could've been an oversight or maybe they typically just do that for repeat customers, who knows. read more

Terrible service - 4 staff members in the store with no customers but they are all too busy to help you find any answer. Even if they are busy working on proposals there should be a courtesy to have one person available to help walk ins when you have a retail location with an open door. A bad experience cover in marble. Porcelanosa is a beautiful store with a bad experience from the beginning to the end. If you have a project in mind or in execution be prepared to loose your time with this company. I made the order in June 21 and paid USD 3,000 in advance (final sale was USD 8,000); sales person explain to me that they were changing the software and that will take 8-10 days and after that I could pick up all the items. After 20 days I didn't receive any call or email back despite my calls, emails and visits to the store in Rockville. One month later I have to cancelled the order and start from zero my project with one moth of delay. I regret that I didn't read comments about Porcelanosa in Yelp. All the comments with one star are very similar to my experience. read more

Saw this store while on an errand in a part of town I'm not familiar with and decided to stop in because I think what I really need is a specialty tile. There were 2 employees sitting at desks in the reception area. Neither person acknowledged my presence then nor at anytime over the next half hour while I was in the store. As I wandered the displays not one person acknowledged my presence or offered assistance. I noted a couple also meandering without encountering a store employee. We were invisible, I guess. The front store windows were covered with sale signs. The sale ends in a couple of days, I actually thought sales staff would be pushing sale items. I need not have concerned myself about that! Easily one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. Went there with my mother to help her find a new backsplash for her brand new kitchen. Honestly, we came to spend some money - drove 40 mins to get there and mom's got some cash ready to go. The store was empty and we asked a rep at the front desk where we could find the backsplash. He pointed and barely spoke, without even raising his head or greeting us. e literally waited in the store for 30 mins and not a single rep asked us if we needed help. After browsing and essentially starting our own consultation, my mother insisted on getting a floor rep to help us. He spent all of 3 mins with us before retreating back to his desk to attend to some paperwork or whatever. "you guys continue to browse and I'll check on you shortly." Dude, we've been browsing. Porcelanosa has beautiful finishing materials that could make your next home renovation stand out. However, the branch seems to be run by this weird team of people that will judge if you are worth their time based on the car you drive and the cloths you wear. It's laughable and sad. It's sad to see a store like this being destroyed by poor customer service. I won't get into details, but my wife and I went there after a day of gardening in our house. Probably the staff thought we'd be a waste of time, so they didn't even say hello. By the time I asked for prices, a sour lady looked at me from head to toe, and reluctantly took note of what I was looking for. After waiting 10 minutes, I went to follow up, and she said she had an important client coming in. She asked me to fill up a form, and when she saw my address was in Bethesda, her tone went from "you piece of junk" to "sir, thanks for coming". hahaha. It was such a shame. With that said, I never received a quote! So... if you are into appearances and you enjoy working with people who evaluate their client's worth based on financial or racial cues, go for it! You can well play the "who is who" game and you'll salivate with George Clooney's photo at the entrance. I do not recommend Porcelanosa. We ordered tile and supplies to renovate at bathroom. While the tile is nice - several items we ordered were delayed months. We told them over a month ago we no longer needed items and tried contacting them several times. They finally responded over a month later saying it's too bad. We purchased these items and it's not The companies fault that there were supply chain delays. It was our fault?!? We couldn't even start the project without the shower drain. If you need to tackle a project in a hurry or expect to walk into a Porcelanosa showroom and get a salesperson's full attention while you browse, this is NOT your store. These will be my only two negative comments about this operation. One can walk out of a low-end furniture store the same day with a stock couch or wait eight weeks for a gorgeous Flexform sofa, and that's how I characterize my interactions with Porcelanosa. I have now done multiple rooms in multiple houses with Porcelanosa tile, and just had another fantastic experience with a design professional in the Rockville showroom named Jan Scalia. Every one of the sales people I've dealt with are skilled and creative designers who know the materials inside and out, and Jan was no exception: she suggested materials that resulted in three amazing spaces in my new house that each had their own original personality but somehow still blended into the overall look that I was trying to achieve. Know that once you are hooked up with a Porcelanosa salesperson, they put a significant amount of time and thought into your projects, just as Jan did; as a result, I didn't just purchase tile, I purchased design expertise, which makes the materials worth every single penny! Book an appointment and you will have their utmost attention; wander into the store off the street and you won't be as lucky because the salespeople are already occupied with other people's projects and may seem aloof. Again, if you are in a hurry, Porcelanosa may not be your best bet; but if you want to design exquisite rooms with unique tile, cabinets, floors, sinks, etc., BOOK AN APPOINTMENT, work with a design professional, wait eight weeks for your tile to be shipped from Spain, and you will end up with gorgeous spaces that will blow your mind every time you enter them. I paid for floor tiles after I told the sales named Santiago that my kitchen designer has to approve the color first, but she is out of the country right now won't be able to approve until later. Then Santiago said this item is very popular and I should pay and hold it now since I can cancel any time within 2 weeks. At that time, I asked multiple times to confirm that I could cancel the order because I need to have my kitchen designer approve the product. I have not scheduled pick up nor received items from the store after I paid in full. Requested to cancel order 3 days later. I called the staff named Janet to cancel order. She said she will let me know. Did not hear back from her for 1.5 days nor any refund confirmation, so I sent her an email to confirm our conversation. Then she wrote back said she will not issue refund, but we can get store credit because it's a final sale. I wrote back said It's not what i was told and the receipt did not say it's final sale or non-refundable. Request to proceed refund again within certain time and she never responds back to me. After I file complaint to BBB and communicated to my credit card company for dispute transaction, they finally refunded my money. read more

When I asked for a cup of coffee which others customers were enjoying she said no you can have water. When I went to speak to the manager he clearly did not want to be bothered, and stated that he had a customer-- I am not sure what he thought I was!! Not only have they been completely unresponsive for over a year (sent multiple emails and calls before getting a hold of someone), I have had numerous staff transitions which has create significant project delays. And, numerous "miscommunications" internally where my order hasn't been processed in a timely way. I paid in full and yet it took weeks after I paid in full for them to get my order in. I have waited 14 weeks for my kitchen products and was told everything was in, scheduled a contractor to start work and then was told it would be another 5 weeks following the 14 weeks. So I am still waiting. Terrible! Unacceptable! Frustrating! Think very hard about using this company. You pay a premium for the worst customer service, long waits, and incompetent staff. Every time I walk in this place I fall in love with something new. We did a complete renovation for our commercial space in DC using Porcelanosa flooring, tiling, and backsplash and we receive so many compliments. We are now using them again for a new home build in Bethesda. I purchased a double sink from them a couple of years ago. it arrived damaged and difficult to install. The salesman spent just enough time with me to swipe my credit card.I went back to discuss a full kitchen renovation. A lovely young woman advised me and said there was a fee to come to my home to measure. This was surprising because 2 other stores had none. When I returned a month later to hire them to do my kitchen, I was told that she would not be helping me because I already had a sales person. I was shocked when they insisted that I use the man who rang up my sink years before. I didn't even remember him. I left with my $90,000 budget and went around the corner to: Bath and Kitchen Showroom on Wilkins Ave. -- My kitchen is fabulous and I'm using Porcelanosa tile and back splash without having to interact with them at all. read more

BEWARE THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, DELAYS, AND NON-AUTHORIZED DESIGN CHANGES BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! My husband and I renovated our kitchen this past winter, purchasing the cabinets of our dreams during last year's thanksgiving day sale at a 40% discount. We had previously redone our bathroom using Porcelanosa tiles from the outlet and liked the product. However, for our custom kitchen cabinets they were terrible at keeping on schedule (promised cabinets 14 weeks after purchase, delivered cabinets that we DID NOT SIGN OFF ON nearly 7 months late). They switched the measurements on the cabinets without telling us and without written authorization, so we had to either send the cabinets back until who knows when, or reconfigure our kitchen to accommodate what was sent. We decided to do the latter as we found out we were expecting a baby and could not afford to be without a kitchen. As a result, we asked for a discount and it was an uphill battle for months. Abdel, the floor manager, made it clear that because we purchased under the sale no discount was warranted. Really?! Because we bought during a sale that somehow makes us deserving of poor customer service and disqualifies us from receiving a discount on cabinets we DID NOT AUTHORIZE?! Then he accused my husband of making up the fact that we didn't sign off on the cabinets that were delivered despite us having months and months worth of emails and contracts detailing what we purchased. After months of back and forth, eventually going over Abdel to speak to his supervisor Santiago, and designer Julie, and after filing an investigation with American Express, we finally received a cash discount for our troubles. Please do yourself a favor and avoid custom orders from Porcelanosa. If you go with Porcelanosa and do find that they are in breach of contract due to timing delays or at fault for delivering wrong orders, don't hesitate to file a complaint or investigation with your credit card company or even with the DCRA/consumer regulatory affairs. Keep everything in writing and keep on top of them throughout the project. read more

My partner an I went in the other day with a $35,000 budget and ready to pull the trigger on a kitchen remodel. When we entered there was one employee on the phone at a desk, and two other employees chatting. We walked through the showroom talking about what we liked and didn't like. Nobody ever came to talk to us. They even walked right past us... We were leaving and I walked past the two still taking and one on a clearly nonprofessional phone call, and none of them even glanced our way. It was so strange, it was like we were completely invisible, we had been there for at least 15minutes. Just to make sure we had not slipped into the twilight zone, just before we exited I shouted, "Okay, goodbye. Thanks for all the help." This got the attention of the person on the phone who didn't seem to understand the sarcasm, she tucked the phone between her shoulder and ear and waved smiling "Thank you for coming." Utterly clueless... Long story short, we went 10 minutes up the pike and found a great kitchen and bath place to do our remodel. read more
